I modded Windblade and Chromia to be a little more accurate to the comics. What do you guys think?

Nicely done Sideways77. Is that a "permanent " bot mode?

    For both, yeah.

But Windblade's jet mode is kinda lame, so I don't mind. But I really liked Chromia's lightcycle mode.

Any kind of specific sanding paper or tool I should use to help loosen her forearms up a bit?

My dad ordered me a trio of Fembots for Christmas which weren't suppose to come till next week but instead my brother ended up opening the package and now I have early Christmas presents.

First I'd like to say that I usually love extensive retools like this. However Prime Arcee already kind of had an ugly back pack. Chromia is made even worse by the new parts. The pieces that flare up over the sounders on Arcee, because of the new kibble Chromia can't do that. The remolded parts she has barely fold up enough to get out of the way for he shoulder articulation. Plus there's a bigger chunk of kibble back there. I'm not sure why that didn't bother me so much in pictures but having it in hand comparing her to the original toy it looks a lot worse.

Aside from the back kibble I like the new head sculpt, the new arms... which the upper arms appear to be the same with new parts clipped over them. I've checked and they are separate parts. I think I could take them off and put them on my Prime Arcee if I wanted to but I'm just going to leave them on Chromia.

Also from this point on can we just assume I'm talking about Prime Arcee not Generations Arcee that way I don't have to keep clarifying that every time I say her name.

The joints on the arms are a little bit tighter than my Arcee figure but that's actually a good thing because Arcee's arms have always been a little bit loose.

Transformation... I have never had to do this on a remold before but I have to check the instructions because I don't know what to do with her arms. I transformed Arcee just fine but the issue is that she had a place for her arms to peg in for vehicle mode and Chromia with her remolded arms, there's no longer any pegs there and if I try to transform them the way Arcee's arms worked I can't get get the back of the vehicle mode to fold down. So yeah a figure I thought was going to be easy because it's a retool is turning out to be a pain in my arse.

OK so after checking the instructions, instead of changing the orientation of the arms for vehicle mode they just stay the way they normally would for robot mode. The new back piece folds down over it and hides the hands. I also wasn't sure which way to orient the front tire. With Arcee it's kind of obvious with the design which way it's suppose to be facing but with the futuristic alien design of Chromia the front tire could really work in either direction. Because of the angle the tire is molded on it'll either be closer to the canopy or to her legs depending on which way you have it turned. It seems like it's suppose to sit closer to the canopy, and putting it that way also puts the screw on the same side as Arcee so that's how I'm assuming it's suppose to go.

While I'm on the subject of that front tire. The strut it's attached to is warped on mine so it doesn't sit straight. Arcee's is fine and considering this is only the second or third use of this mold I'm not sure why that part is so screwed up. It basically makes it so Chromia looks like she's constantly making a right turn. From the side you can't really tell it's bent but looking at it from the top I can clearly see it's not sitting center.

Anyway... another thing I'd like to point out with the transformation is that the back tires are now attached to the feet on thin clear translucent hinges which feel a lot weaker than the Arcee version. Not just because of the different plastic but the new parts are actually thinner molding than Arcee. I'm not exactly rough with Arcee but I don't feel a need for concern about breaking with her. Chromia on the other hand transform with caution.

That out of the way... I know everyone has made this comparison already but she looks like a Tron Light Cycle. The canopy can actually be opened up in vehicle mode as long as you remember to unpeg the side panels from the legs, but unfortunately there isn't really anything molded on the inside. It doesn't really look like she can take a passenger and even if she could there'd be no way for them to drive. I guess this kind of makes since considering she's suppose to be a Cybertronian vehicle but then why have the canopy at all?

There is another oddity I've found with this figure but I think I'm going to mention it in Cool Hidden Features No One Knew about.

I just got this figure, she's a real beauty, but I'm having problems with the arms:

That blue projection pointing into the armpit obstructs full rotation of the elbow joint, I don't know why it's even there as it seems to do nothing but get in the way of poseability and transformation... am I missing something?

On my copy at least, those are further up the arms so that they don't get in the way of the joint.
