Argh I LOVE motorcycle alt modes, but Arcee looks sooo much better in robot mode with a ton less kibble so I'm torn on which one of them I should get (I've decided to only get one). Thoughts?
Was messing w/ Chromia, and noticed the seat part was 2 separate pieces. Why? Because it opens to reduce the kibble.
Personally, for robot mode I like to have the 'skirt' piece flipped up as far as it goes, then close the canopy over top of it. Makes all the back kibble into a more unified shape.
...you guys do realize that the second gun pictured in the stock photos is included with Arcee, right? No need to double-up on Chromias. Anyway, just snagged one today, and I love her, but the elbows are a worry spot. In lieu of getting that 'Shock Oil' that was mentioned, would popping the arms off and sanding down the socket joint be a viable alternative?
Funny enough Arcee's guns have the rectangular handles while Chromia is set up for standard 5mm pegs so the second gun really doesn't fit in her hand very well at all.
Not true. For one, as seen in the stock image here, that gun has always had the rectangular peg. And as of testing with another rectangular peg weapon (Windblade's sword), Chromia can hold that just fine. So unless the peg on the gun included with Arcee is actually a different size, it will still fit in the 5mm hands. Yeah, it's almost as if people are okay with villains doing bad things, but not okay with it coming from nominal heroes. What a double standard. ... ... Seriously, where did this logic even come from, man.
I was concerned too but noticed when I rotate the elbow the opposite direction that it moves much easier. I would recommend if you get ANY resistance just turn it the other way, worked for me.
Got Chromia yesterday and she's pretty much whatI expected since I already have PRID Arcee. The remolded parts are nice, and the headsculpt is great as well. My only concern is how the clear plastic will hold up over the years.
Got the figure and I've really been enjoying her. My only issue is the blaster... having her only have one seems wrong but the one she has just seems too big for her alt mode. I ended up giving her blaster to another figure and grabbed two spare guns from DOTM Topspin. They look great in her hands and sit much more flush in bike mood, looking more like weapons that would pop out in that mode then a gun just tacked onto her side.
Chromia is a cool figure, nice bike mode, cool robot mode, a wonderful retool that is a homage to the comics Chromia being like Prime Arcee. Who cares if she was a jerk in the comics? At least she is more believable as a real character
Got my Chromia with Arcee. A lot nicer than the PRID Arcee, which I really dislike. I'm okay with her having only one gun. I'll let her have PRID Arcee's gun too. Still terrified of the transparent plastic. Time will tell how these will hold up.

It will fit in closed 5mm hands. I've tried it with several other generations figures with open hands (Chromia included) and the rectangular peg doesn't touch the 5mm portion of the open hands in a natural pointed forward position. In order for the peg to come in contact with the sides of the hole it has to be turned off-center. As for the stock image Chromia's gun has a round 5mm peg, not a rectangular one like Arcee's guns.
Chromia can hold Arcee's guns, but like Turnip said, they don't fit right and you can't quite get a natural position out of them. The larger gun with the pink handle works better than the smaller pistol but neither really quite look right. She holds Arcee's swords a bit better, but the grip is still loose. I use some weapons from Iron Factory's Turrets and Manacle set. I give Chromia two of the shotguns and a shield. Their handles are round but short as they are designed for Legends size figures, but they do fit in her hands well enough for display. They can also peg onto the sides of her cycle mode. Anyway, as for Chromia herself, she's had an <ahem> interesting journey from G1 to IDW. From having little personality in the episode of G1 that introduced her, Elita-1 and some of the other female Autobots, where Elita got the spotlight, to IDW where she's the bodyguard for Windblade, and eventually, an anti-villian, it's been a bit of a rough ride. Don't let the characterization in the comics put you off the figure, though. She may be a remold/repaint of PRID Arcee, but she's a nice simple figure who can hold stable poses (unlike Windblade) and has a simple, fairly fluid transformation to her Cybertronian enclosed motorcycle (lightcycle?) mode. The figure's biggest flaws are the highly noticeable back kibble from the motorcycle, especially the canopy. Some people are handy enough to turn it into the riot shield that Chromia has in the comics, but I don't have near that good of kit-bashing skills. The other flaw is her lack of accessories, especially when the back of the package the figure comes in shows her with her own pistol and one of Arcee's. Also, the thin clear plastic that her front and back wheels are attached to is a bit worrisome, especially with the amount of twisting in her conversion. Still, she's well worth getting as a good figure in her own right, and you can load her up with weapons of your own choice. She's capable of very dynamic poses and balances well. I can't believe I'm typing this, but perhaps a third party company can make an upgrade kit with a riot shield, second pistol and a halberd (pole-axe) like she has in the comics. Chromia is a great companion to complete the historic trio of trio of 2014 fem-bots. Recommended.
