Shockles is gonna get (a little bit of) his comeuppence soonish.
And thanks on the alt mode complement. I was a bit worried about how well Shockles altmode would go over, but it seems to be fine. :D

Final part of chapter 1 is here.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Smokescreen drove down the corridor at full speed, he would need to get the hangar before the Decepticons caught up to him. They hade made short work of Ironhide, and as much as he hated to admit, he would need however much time Alpha Trion could manage to buy him. He could see the entrance to the Hangar ahead, exactly where Ironhide had said it would be. He sped towards, but lost control when the ground under him shook. The rumbling sensation passed quickly, but he still had to transform into robot mode to avoid crashing into the wall. Uneasy due to the mysterious tremor, he extended his bo-staff and crept to the hangar door.

He peeked inside, to see if the coast was clear. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Several Forged troopers stood in an imperfect circle around a bot that was on his knees next to what looked like a large thick cable, nearly as wide as a the average Cybertronian. Dented, covered in energon, and missing his right arm though he was, Smokescreen recognized the bot as his master Alpha Trion. But behind Alpha Trion stood someone else Smokescreen recognised. The Decepticon head scientist, Shockwave.

He crept stealthily into the hanger, hiding behind a stack of crates near the entrance. From there he could get a better view of the Hangar. The group of Cons was near the center, empty crates and energon cubes were scattered throughout. There were three vessels in the hangar, a Decepticon ship near Shockwave, a freight hauler near the crates Smokescreen was hiding behind, and on the complete opposit side of the hangar from Smokescreen, the Wrecker dropship.
"Sure, of course it couldn't be on the side closest to the door, that would be to easy," he mumbled sarcastically. He decided it would be safest to wait for the cons to leave. And so he sat and listened to the converstaion that was already in progress.

"... Me what I want to know, or I shall be forced to prolong your suffering. Where is the Covenant?" Shockwave demanded, "I have your Quill, but it is nothing but a shiny sword without the Book."
"That..cough...was the idea," Alpha Trion wheezed, "Splitting up the Covenant of Primus and the...cough...Quill prevents fiends like you from obtaining unlimited power."

"Ah, but it will not. For eventually I will find your apprentice, as he must show himself or in the end he will parish. And to put one's own good health aside for a relic they know nothing about, is not logical."
"Not everything in this world can be explained by your precious logic, Shockwave. You will see that at the very end, but by then it will be too late for you."

"Perhaps, but even if he attemts to escape, I have had a transwarp corrupter installed the Wrecker ship, he will only go where I want him to go. As of this moment, your time has run out," Shockwave aimed his cannon at Alpha Trions chest.

"Alpha Trion!" Smokescreen screamed as he bolted from his hiding place. Activating the Covenant Shield, he ran for Alpha Trion, but deep down he knew it was too late. Shockwave fired and Alpha Trions's entire torso exploded, sending shrapnel in all directions.

    "Nooo!"

Shockwave swiveled to aim at Smokescreen, forcing the rookie to transform into his altmode. He drove as fast as he could towards the dropship, swerving to avoid the Forged soldiers in his way. He ramped off of a loading ramp, transormed midair and landed on the ship's roof. He opened the entrance hatch and entered the interior of the ship. Smokescreen grabbed the steering wheel and the ship scanned him.

"Autobot energy signature confirmed. A.N.T-E ship computer AI online," the robotic voice of the ship stated.

"Okay Auntie, begin liftoff and open transwarp engine comparment."
A compartment towards the back of the ship opened, and as the ship began to liftoff, Smokescreen searched through the enginecompartment for the corruptor. He found it, pulled it off of the engine, and returned to the pilot seat.

    "Activate engines."

The engines started and the ship flew towards the closed hangar exit. Smokescreen fired the ships missiles, blowing the closed exit wide open, and steered the ship into the open air. But unbeknownst to him, just as the ship left the hangar, Shockwave made a running leap and grasped the edge of the ship. Pulling himself atop the ship, he charged his cannon to destroy Smokescreen.

The ship flew over Iacon, the once great city burning below. As soon as the ship cleared the last building, Smokescreen set it to autopilot, "Auntie, set transwarp coordinates for Earth, and activate transwarp engines when I give the word," he placed the transwarp corrupter on the ships object scanner, "and sync this device with the the ship's computer."

    "Affirmative."

Smokescreen reclined in the pilot's chair, and closed his optics. Outside, Shockwave had managed to get to the entry hatch, and silently pulled it open. He dropped in as quietly as possible, and aimed his cannon at Smokescreen's head. He fired, but the chair spun around, and Smokescreen rose the Covenant, blocking his shot. Smokescreen stood up and swung his bo-staff at Shockwave, who had difficulty blocking due to the cramped interior of the ship, but still managed to block nonetheless. Smokescreen jabbed at Shockwave, and this time his blow connected with Shockwave's vulnerable singular optic. Shockwave blindly stumbled to the back of the ship.

"Auntie, open the loading doors," Smokescreen ordered, snatching up the transwarp corrupter. The doors opened and Smokescreen threw the corrupter with all his might. It hit the already unstable Shockwave, sending him flying out of the loading doors.

"Auntie, activate transwarp corrupter," Smokescreen commanded. The ship complied, and with a bright green flash, Shockwave disappeared. Smokescreen sat in the pilot's seat, "Auntie, close loading doors and activate transwarp engines."

The transwarp engines activated, and the ship, and its inhabitant left Cybertron behind.

Yay, after a longer than intended break, I am back with the beginning of Chapter 2.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 2: New friends, Old enemies

The Tranquility night was starless and shrouded in fog, the perfect environment for the five lifeforms that now stalked along its outskirts to move without being seen. The beings, massive robots of different sizes and shapes, crept along the darkest parts of the forest that lined the California road. They soon found what they were looking for, an abandoned car shop that the aging neon sign above the establishment identified as Bobby B's Automobile Emporium. They looked along the desolite street in both directions before stepping or climbing over the rusty chicken wire fence into the car lot.

They had been getting settled on this world for the past three years since they woke up in the ruins of their ship, the Axalon. The met a group of human authorities, who helped them establish a base outside of the nearly uninhabited town of Jasper, Nevada; but due to Decepticon interference and the stress of building their new base, they were only now getting altmodes.

"Autobots," The largest, a large dark grey robot with blue and red sections, boomed' "find a vehicle that suits you and report back here. And make sur-"

"Sure thing, boss bot," The small yellow one replied in its high pitched voice, before zooming off on its heel mounted wheels.

The dark grey bot, who was evidently the leader, glared at the direction the smaller bot had gone before turning to the other three, "As I had intended to say, be as quiet as possible, to ensure that we do not to attract attention. Roll out."

"Yes sir," both the large white and red mech along with the blue and pink femme saluted. They walked off in two different directions.

The leader turned to the smaller grey-blue and orange bot that had not left, "When I say 'Roll out', it means you to Huffer."

"Ayayayayay, not gonna happen Optimus," Huffer leaned against a nearby van, "No offence to this planet's inhabitants, fearless leader, but I ain't gettin' no stinkin' Earth mode."

Optimus frowned at Huffer for a moment and then spoke, "We're robots in disguise, Huffer. And a vehicle that the humans would consider alien is hardly a disguise at all. So if you don't get a native altmode, I guess you'll just have to be stuck with moniter duty."

"No, wha-," The smaller bot held up his hands, "Fine, Boss-Mobile, you win, dis time." He ran off into the night to find an altmode.

Optimus shook his head and smirked, Huffer was a good bot, if you could only somehow manage to get him to do what you wanted. The Prime turned and scanned the lot for an altmode that would fit his frame. None of the parked cars and trucks were large enough for his t-cog to addapt to, even with the mass-shifting technology his species had perfected. He stepped over the fence for the second time that night and snuck to the highway. Cars and the occasional truck passed by him, occupants unaware of the giant watching them from among the trees.

Still, despite the somewhat steady flow of traffic, it took him nearly half an hour before a suitable vehicle drove bye. A large red and blue, flat nosed semi truck drove along the road, and its driver never noticed as the two beems of green light swept over his vehicle, mapping every nut and bolt, and disappeared.

Seconds later a similar semi rolled out of the trees onto the road. It was nearly identical, except it was grey with a red and white stripe along each side of the cab, and blue stripes on the sides of the truck's chassis. The truck's parts shifted, its cab becoming the body and the arms of Optimus Prime. It's grill became his chest, its windshield becoming shoulder pads and the twin pairs of smokestacks becoming arm mounted, double-barrelled guns that disappeared under panels on his forearms. The back of the truck transformed into the massive bot's legs, the farthest back pair of wheels mounting on his hips, the farthest forward on his shoulders, and the middle pair in his ankles. Finally his head extended from the roof of the cab, rotated to face forwards, and his eyes activated.

Satisfied with his new altmode, he turned, reentered the car lot, walked to the meeting place, and waited.

    ***

Soon, the other Autobots returned. Arcee was the first to arrive, in the form of a cobalt blue 1974 Corvette Stingray Coupe. She transformed, a portion of her altmode's front half that included the wheels becoming the legs, with the wheels becoming a large portion of the shins. The sides of the vehicle transformed into her arms. The pointed front of the vehicle became her chest and the what was left of the back half morphed into her body. The back wheels became part of her back and the doors turned into a pair of winglike appendages.

Mere seconds later was Bumblebee, who had chosen a muscle car called the Urbana 500 as his altmode. The bright yellow vehicle with a white racing stripe drove towards Arcee and Optimus full speed and transormed. It's front split and became the scout's legs, the grill and headlights winding up on the front of his feet, and the wheels in the back. The roof of the car became his chest. His back wheels became his shoulders and, like Arcee, his doors became vaguely wing shaped protrusions.

"Alternate form found, Sir," Arcee saluted, and Optimus returned the gesture.

"Yeah, I got an altmode too! It's got cool little wings on the back, like a bumblebee! And watch this!" The scout's arm morphed into a half-cone shaped blaster and fired it at a nearby car. The cars lights and other systems activated for a moment before quickly ceasing. "My guns are electromagnetic stingers now, it's so cool!" While the excited scout wheeled around in circles rambling about all his altmode's features to Optimus and Arcee, another car rolled up.

The azure and orange Trabant 601 drove up to the others and transformed. The front of the vehicle became the chest and the rear of the vehicle the robot' s back. Its the sides and wheels folded away from the main body of the vehicle, onto the back. The remaining parts of the vehicle formed the the body and limbs, and the roof became a protective hood.

"Heh, slightly garish. Then again, since when did any minibot have any idea at all about style," He motioned at himself, "Yah see, my altmode is classic."

Arcee sneered, "If by classic you mean old, yeah, it's classic. A total rattletrap in fact."

"Why you-" Huffer balled his servos into fists and started to walk towards Arcee.

"Will the lot of you youngsters stop bickering," Everyone turned to look at the speaker, the Autobot medic Ratchet, who had walked up to them unseen when they were arguing, "We are fully grown Autobots, not protoforms," Ratchet frowned at the three car bots and turned to Optimus, "My internal transwarp scanners are picking up a signature almost identical to that of the the object that caused what the humans call the 'Tunguska event'. The object that came through the transwarp rift will make planetfall in a few hours and now that we have our alternate forms, I believe that we should check it out, it could be important."

"Sound advice, Ratchet," Optimus replied, "Open the groundbridge."
Ratchet used his remote groundbridge activation remote to call a ground bridge portal to their location, and they passed through it into the former Missile Silo they called home.

Oooh, Smokescreen pwned that rascally Shockwave, just in time to pay him back for killing Trion. So, bring the Book and the Quill together and one unlocks ultimate power? Nice concept, but it appears the Decepticons possess one half of the puzzle.

And cool, more Autobots; Optimus is sound, Ratchet can't deal with youngsters, Huffer's a grump, Arcee's snarky and Bee's quite buzzy. Fun stuff :D

Nicely done, Lego. Keep it up :)

Thanks for the compliments. And indeed, the Decepticons have half the puzzle, they just don't know it yet. For it is such, with the Covenant of Primus and the Quill used together you can write events into the past, present, and future. Now that we have met the primary Autobots, next chapter will introduce some more Decepticons.

Another chapter, this one rather short. I am beginning to learn that I am not good at writing characters. Oh well, I'll get better at it as I write. :D
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Far above the Earth, in orbit around the moon, the Decepticon flagship Nemesis hovered like a vast preditory bird. Inside its dark corridors, a single Vehicon rushed from the com room and transformed into its sleek Cyberterran car form. It raced for the bridge and, as it entered the room that represented the very brains of the ship itself, the drone transformed. It walked to a position behind the high backed command chair and knelt.

"Lord Megatron, our scanners have detected a familiar transwarp signature approaching the planet. It may be the one who holds the other half of the relic."

The chair spun around, allowing its occupant, a large grey Decepticon with a blood red cockpit on his chest, twin sword hilts protruding from his back, a folded up rotor on his left arm and a large cannon on his right, to face the Drone.

"Excellent, yesssss. This may be the best opertunity to obtain the relic we shall ever have," Megatron turned to a sleek grey, blue, and red seeker who had been listening to the conversation, "Starscream, take Knockout and Airachnid, go to the landing site, destroy any opposition you find there and bring me the Covenant."

Starscream frowned before replying, "No, Megatron. I will not go on some wild cybergoose chase just because some stupid drone says that there is a Cybertronian approaching. What use is the Book without the Quill? It is pointless, and such orders merely prove that you are an incompettent leader! We should be focusing on Operation: Polyphemus, not wasting materials on some whim of our scanning sensors! Why should we allow this piece of space debris to consume our time and effort?"

Megatron rolled his optics, as he was used to the Air Commander's outbursts of arrogance and insubordination, "Because , my dear Starscream, this 'space debris' is from Cybertron, and has the ability to transwarp. Plus its energy output perfectly matches the energy signature that we picked up in Russia decades ago. Nonetheless, if it proves to be nothing more than an abandoned Autobot craft, even then it will not have been a waste of time, no. For the Autobots will surely investigate, and if you are there the resulting clash will be just the distraction Soundwave needs to move Operation: Polyphemus ahead, yessssss. So run along Starscream, or I may have to get slightly angry."

"Fine, but mark my words, no good will come of this, My Lord," Starscream mumbled as he stalked off to find Airachnid and Knockout.

    ***

Meanwhile, Smokescreen, completely unaware of the hullabaloo his arrival was causing down below, tried desperately to regain control of his ship. Before facing the rookie, Shockwave had evidently damaged exterior components of the ship, because the instant the vessel exited transpace, it began to spiral out of control. The vehicle was now entering the atmosphere, and was being damaged even more. It streaked towards the Nevada desert at an acute angle and skidded along the earth. It crashed into a large boulder and stopped with a jolt that threw Smokescreens head against the steering wheel, knocking him out instantly.

A wild next part appeared. Enjoy the continuation of Chapter 2.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Autobots walked into their missile silo, known to them as Outpost Omega-1, and Ratched deactivated the ground bridge. He walked to the Cybertronian sized computer and brought up the transwarp signature tracking system. The other Bots gathered around him as he calculated the exact trajectory and landing coordinates. He soon brought up a map of the United States and pointed to a location.

"After tracing its trajectory, I have determined that the most probable landing zone is," He pointed to a deserted location right outside of Jasper, "here."

"Ratchet, open the doorway. The rest of you, come with me!"
Three cars and a semi rolled into a tunnel in the rock and through the normally hidden door into the dimly lit landscape of the Nevada desert. They turned onto the main road and drove towards the future landing site as fast as the speed limit would allow.

    ***

The desert around the Wrecker Shuttle, already bathed in the red light of a Nevada sunrise and the pale blue of the cold energon flames that licked at its sands, was lit up by yet another shade. The green glow of a Ground Bridge vortex swirled out of the vagely smoke scented air and Decepticon Air Commander Starscream strode out; flanked on his left by the vain, red Sportscar medic known as Knockout, and on his right by the tall, imposing, grey and green figure of Airachnid.

The female Decepticon stepped forward, the shoulder mounted rotor blade's of her Osprey altmode extending, legthening themselves into six spindly spiderlike legs that lifted the her off the ground. She moved through the flaming wreckage toward the largest chunk and the cockpit that made up most of it, carefully placing the tips of her extra limbs on the few patches of ground that were not covered in flaming energon and shrapnel.

Upon reaching the main part of the destroyed vessel, she hoisted herself atop the windshield and retracted her extra limbs. Her hand retracted and was replaced with a high power cutting torch, which quickly and effortlessly removed a secion large enough for Knockout to fit through.

"Knockout, don't sit there with your processor up your aft, come investigate this thing," Airachnid snapped.

"Are you insane, do you know what those flames would do to my frame. You can fit inside, if you want that death trap explored, you can do it," Knocout crossed his arms and looked away arrogantly.

Starscream roared, clutched the medics back plating, and spun him around. Hoisting him into the air he growled, "While any of the three of us could fit inside of that 'death trap', you are the only one who could fit inside without your ability to fight being compromised, NOW MOVE!" The Air Commander threw the smaller bot in the direction of the crashed ship and Knockout shifted into his altmode, a bright red Audi R8 and raced through the burning rubble.

Starscream morphed into his own vehicle form, a X-44 Manta jet, and rocketed safely overhead, transforming upon reaching Airachnid's position. The car Con transformed back into his robot mode, and crawled into the dark control center of the shuttle. He activated his headlights so he could see and scanned the interior of the cockpit. Starscream was right, the interior was cramped, but upon looking around, it became obvious that the occupant, slumped in his chair and covered in dents and scratches, would not be putting up a fight.
Satisfied, Knockout walked back to the hole Airachnid had created and peeked out,

"Commanders, seems as though the Autobot is unconcious," The medic smirked, "Shall I bring him up?"

"Yes Knockout, and check to see if he has a book with him. If he does not, you will search the entire crash site until you find it."

"Commander Starscream!? You have got to be joki-"

Airachnid interrupted Knockout, "Consider it punishment for your insubordination."

Knockout huffed and disappeared into the ship, and the other two Decepticons could hear the third member struggle to lift the Autobot and carry it to the hole. He returned hunched over, with a white, blue and orange bot hefted up on his left shoulder and a book in his right servo.

"Good news," Knockout quipped as Starscream lifted the unconcious Autobot out of the ship, "I don't have to search for the book," he held up the relic and smiled, "because it's right here."

"Excellent work Doctor," Starscream snatched the book away from the medic and activated his comlink, "Lord Megatron, we have the Covenant, and we found the pilot. He is alive but in stasis, I shall finish him and return to present the relic to you immediately."

:No, Airachnid shall return with both the relic and the Autobot prisoner. You and Knockout shall stay in wait of the Autobots innevitable arrival and keep them busy when they show. Soundwave requires a bit more time to complete his task than he has yet been given. I will call you when I am ready for you to return, yessssss,: The Decepticon leader responed.

"Yes my Lord, Starscream out," He turned to Airachnid and handed her the Covenant, "Airachnid, take this and the prisoner to Lord Megatron. Knockout and I are to remain here."

A ground bridge appeared next to the trio of Decepticons. Airachnid walked into the swirling see of green and cyan, and was gone.

    Time for another part!

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The four Autobots raced along the road towards the billowing pillar of black smoke emitted from the crashed ship. They got as close to their destination as the road would allow, so they swerved off to the right, kicking up a trail of dust behind them. The drove up the side of a small, sandy hill that blocked their view of the wreckage and upon cresting the top and catching a glimpse of the cooling rubble strewn about the desert floor, they transformed. The group of robots sprinted as fast as they could in the direction of the shuttle, avoiding the few scattered fires that still burned.

They reached it quickly, Bumblebee shifting his arms into stinger form and Arcee pulling her sniper rifle from its back mounted holster to gaurd Optimus and Huffer as they examined the ruined cockpit. Huffer crawled inside through a suspiciously clean-cut hole and pulled out his Automatic Pistol. Optimus scanned the area around the for any sign of Decepticon activity, but found none. Returning to the two scouts, pannels on his upper arms folded away and the barrels of his scatter blasters extended. Huffer crawled out of the ship holding a compacted bo-staff, but otherwise empty handed.

"Find anything Huffer?" The others asked in near unison.

Huffer handed his leader the bo-staff and shook his head, "Other than this stick? Nadda. Stinkin' Cons had to have got here first. But the pilot musta been unconcious though, no signs of a scuffle. But ya want my opinion?"

    "Not particularly," Arcee replied.

He glared at Arcee, before turning back to Optimus, "I think we should get outta here, I feel like somethins gonna jump out at us any moment."

A screeching voice answered him from behind a large piece of rubble to Huffer's left, "Then for once, Autobot, you'd be right!" The speaker, none other than Starscream, rocketed into the air on foot mounted thrusters and pointed a Null Sniping Rifle at them. Knockout darted out from behind a different chunk of scrap to huffer's right wielding a large Stun Blaster.

"Aw, a ship in front of me and Decepticons to my left and right, how ever will I escape," Bumblebee mocked, "Because I would never think of turning around and going back," The scout turned around in time to see a space bridge open in front of him. A well built lime and orange Decepticon with snow plow blades mounted on his arms and tank tracks for lower legs stalked out like a moving wall. It glared down at the yellow speedster with its left optic, the right optic covered by a metal plate welded to the heavily damaged right side of its face, and the tow arm mounted on its right shoulder morphed into a large cannon which aimed at the scout.

"We knew you wouldn't, but just in case, we called for backup," Knockout replied smugly, "Slayride, be a dear and destroy the annoying bug."

"Sure thing, Knock," The brute strode toward Bumblebee, blades raised. Knockout sprinted toward Arcee and Huffer, while Starscream began firing on Optimus from a position in the air, safely out of melee range. Slayride reached Bumblebee and slammed his forearm down into the ground where the scout would have been standing had he not dashed to one side at the last moment. Bumblebee skated in circles around the large Decepticon, whose repeated attemps to blast him merely resulted in the ground becoming even more scorched.

The brute tried a different tactic, swinging his arm at Bumblebee as he passed by. The Bot merely slid under the first swing and jumped over the second. The third time, he jumped over the swing like the time before, but flew into a blast from his opponents gun. He fell to the ground, components sparking and smoke hissing from between his joints.

Slayride's cannon aimed at its target once again, prepping for the killing blow. The small bot's voice box clicked and buzzed in a strange code. The massive Decepticon cupped his servo beside his head and and asked in mock confusion, "What was that, insect, I couldn't hear you."
The small bot looked up, its dimming optics sparkled mischieviously and wheezed, "That's because it wasn't for you to hear."

The Con raised its eyebrow at the Bot's statement, but soon learned what he meant when something slammed into his back. He stumbled forward, trying desperately to pull whatever had attacked him from its perch. It turned out to be futile, however, as his attacker jumped off of onto the ground of her own accord. The blue femme fired her sniper rifle at the unblanced con and he fell to the earth, his dorsal plating sending sparks flying. She then lept up on his chest and fired a point blank blast into it.

<Energon main conduit leak detected, stasis lock imminent. Retreat,> His onboard computer warned in its monotone femme voice.

Slayride roared, grabbing Arcee in one hand and pushing himself up with his other. He threw the femme next to the already defeated scout and transformed, his arms becoming the front of his pickup altmode with its snow plow, his body and legs the back with the tracks and towtruck arm. He honked his horn and rammed into to the dazed Corvette, sending her skidding across the sandy desert floor, and drove away from the main battle.
Meanwhile, Huffer had defeated Knockout with his own stun rifle, which the Autobot engineer had shot moments before the Con pulled the trigger. The backfire had overloaded most of the medics systems and he fell to the ground. Huffer walked over to his opponent and stomped on his face, knocking him unconcious.

He then joined Optimus in shooting at Starscream, who still had not fled, but was becoming visibly more distressed, as their blasts came closer and closer to making contact. Finally one did, and the Air Commander plummetted to the ground with a loud cry. He looked up in fear as Optimus and Huffer advanced towards him and desperately called the Nemesis on his comlink, "Lord Megatron, I would be really pleased if Soundwave was done now!"

Note: Slayride is based off of Prime Breakdown. He is Knockouts assistant and friend along with being the Decepticon heavy hitter. The only difference is the name, colorscheme, and the fact that he turns into a Towtruck/Snowplow hybrid. Oh, and no hammers.

Sorry this part took so long, I have been doing drivers ed over the last week and haven't had as much time to work on it. So the next few weeks will have more sporadic posts as I learn to drive. Woo-Hoo.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the Autobots arrived at the crash sight in the desert, someone very different had arrived at his destination in the town of Jasper. The brown and white old-fashioned detective coupe rolled down the main street, its mustached driver scanning the sidewalk for its prey. It spotted the trio of human teenagers approaching it from the other side of the two lane road, blissfully unaware of the danger. Scanning them it varrified the Identities of the two males as its targets. The car pulled into a dank alleyway nearby and turned off its lights to wait.

The teens soon got close enough that the man could hear their speech, a trivial matter really, but he rather enjoyed documenting things even if they happened to be mundane. The humans appeared to be having a conversation about a human educational compound, or in human terms a "school". But the conversation was rather one sided. The shortest one, a boy with a huge tuft of brown hair and the tallest, another male, this one with black hair mostly made the occasional comment on the rapid and seemingly unlimited babble of the third, a female with black hair that bore a pink streak through it and was put up in ponytails.

The man stroked his mustache in thought. It was strange how the humans were so very different from one another, almost like his kind. They had also developed technological advances faster than the Cybertronians like himself had, an amazing feat for an organic species. In fact, he almost felt sorry that this world and its creative inhabitants would have to be exposed to the war against the Autobots. He was broken out of his musing by the splash of water on his roof, caused by a human throwing wash water from a balcony above. Yes, he almost wished that this world would be spared. But not quite.

He turned his attention back to the three younger beings, but found they had gone. Grumbling, the detective pulled back onto the road, water leaving a dripping trail in his wake. The brown car followed the three humans slowly and was careful not to be seen. But, the humans seemed to be caught up in a conversation about what to do after their education program was carried out. They ultimately decided to watch a movie about alien robots that could morph into vehicles, the female pouting about how she wished "Mech-Shifters" were real. The usually stoic detective had to chuckle at the irony. Wishing for that which would be her own destruction, human behavior at its finest.

But, he had wasted enough time watching, he had mission to do. He sped up to come alongside of the humans and activated a hologram shield that engulfed both him and the teens. The light warping device would not keep his targets from seeing him, but all other humans in the vaccinity would only see an empty street. The human driver flickered and disappeared and the vehicle transformed.

The humans gasped in shock as the front of the car that had passed them by morphed into a pair of thin double jointed legs, with the wheels becoming the lower pair of knees. Then the legs lifted the rest of the car, which spun around so the undercarriage faced forwards. Then the trunk folded down and became the chest of a robot and the exaust pipe and rear bumper detached from the rest of the car's back portion and formed a large cannon on the left shoulder. Meanwhile, the sides of the car split apart and reconfigured into long batlike arms and the mouthless, visored head appeared atop the robots body.

"If I were you, I would be more carefull what I wished for, little girl," the Decepticon stated in its vocoder-like voice.

The girl screamed and tried to run and the boys soon followed, but it was too late. The Decepticon's chest opened and three seatbelts appeared from the interior. As they extended towards the children, they morphed into tentacles ending into sharp metal claws and grabbed at the unfortunate humans. The smallest human tripped and fell, the tentacle whipping harmlessly above his head. The older male rolled to one side to avoid his attacker. The girl however, stopped running, choosing instead to stand her ground and lifting her hands to stop the appendage. This, predictably, did not work and she was pulled into the air.

The line retracted and the female was deposited in his chest. But sadly, she did not possess the information microchip he needed and he continued his assault on the other humans. The smaller one was easy and he soon had him within the grasp of his tentacle, but he was interrupted by a warning from his internal computer,

    < Autobot approaching, .1 kilometers, >

The Decepticon retracted his tentacles with a dissapointed metallic groan.

"This is Soundwave requesting a Bridge. Autobot presence detected, mission abort, repeat mission abort."

The bridge opened and the Decepticon marched through into the portal and vanished.

The older human ran over to his younger friend to help him up. The smaller boy accepted his friend's help and was soon on his feet.

    "You okay, Raf?"

"Mostly," then he buried his head in his hands, "But what ever it was got Miko."

Jack frowned, "Yeah it did and suppose we need to tell the police. She may be annoying, but we can't leave her to that thing."

"But how are they gonna get her free, we don't even know what it was, how are we supposed to find it?"

"Perhaps I can help with that," A rather gruff voice stated.

They turned to towards the street, where a large, beat up cadillac hearse that had been painted white and red like an ambulance had parked next to them while they talked.Jack walked up to the ambulance and looked inside, "Who said that?"

The ambulance growled, "You'd think that after seeing one Cybertronian, you could guess," Jack lept back as the ambulance metamorphosed in a similiar way to Soundwave and yet very different. The headlights, grill, and the cracked windshield formed the chest while the rest of the front formed the arms. The hollow portion of the rear compacted into a large backpack, the chassis portion forming the legs and barrel shaped body. The head was looked grumpy, but still somehow kind and was adorned with what would most likely be a double pointed crest, had half of it not been broken off. The colossus had calming green eyes, quite unlike the harsh yellow visor of the detective coupe.

All the same, Raf stepped back afraid and gulped, "Not another one"

"Well that depends on what quite you mean by 'Another one'. I am an autonomous organism from the faraway planet of Cybertron, a 'Transformer' if you will, but I am not a Decepticon, like the one who took your friend. I am an Autobot, a fighter for freedom from the tyranny of Megatron."

"What would the Decepticons want with Miko?" Raf asked fearfully.

"Nothing, Soundwave is notorious for his ability to get so caught up in his musing that he forgets his mission. By the time he had Miko, I had nearly arrived which forced him to flee. He left behind his real target, the two of you."

    "Why us?" Jack questioned.

"That's what I want to know."

He hit a button on his arm and a ground bridge opened, "Until all this is over, I'll need to watch over you," He shifted back into vehicle mode, "Climb in."

The kids did so and he drove towards the portal, "You should be safe with us for now. And by the way, the names Ratchet"
They passed through the portal into outpost Omega 1.

Time for a new part. The conclusion of Chapter 2!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Megatron stared angrily at his spymaster, who had somehow only managed to procure one of the three humans, the only one they didn't need, at that. Soundwave was kneeling penitently before his master's throne, holding his long arms up to shield his face. Megatron frowned, and growled at his minion before speaking.

"How is at that you have caught the only human we didn't need. I expected better of you Soundwave, yesssss, you have only very rarely failed me in the past," Soundwave hung his head lower at this.

"I will not attempt to deceive you. I was afraid for the lives of the humans. My computer picked up an Autobot presence. I knew from my comlink that the only Autobot not present at the battle against Starscream was the Autobot medic," Soundwave glared at Megatron, "You may be my master and I may do most things you request of me, but there are some things I will not do. That was a populated area and I won't put its inhabitants at risk. Our war is with the Autobots and their allies, not the general populace. Ratchet dislikes humans, and if he will not protect them, I must."

Megatron stood quickly and roared at the brown Decepticon, "A noble speech from a coward! But as you said, you will not decieve me, no. You were afraid of the Autobot, not for the good of the humans, but for the good of yourself! A Decepticon quality to be sure, but one which should not cause you to fail! Because, as all Decepticons know, the only thing frowned upon more than treachery, is failure!" Megatron drew one of his swords to strike the car, but was interrupted when a Ground Bridge opened behind him. Starscream rushed through carrying Knockout and The heavily damaged vehicle form of Slayride followed along, swerving to avoid laser fire that sailed through the portal.

"Everybody down," Starscream shouted frantically, as he dumped Knockout onto the floor and jumped down onto the floor and covered his ears. Soundwave's chest opened and his tentacles lashed out, knocking his leader to the ground just as a wave of pure blue energy flew through the deactivating space bridge and crashed into the few Vehicons who had not ducked to the ground, along with the brown and white spymaster who fell to the ground to late to avoid the beam slicing through his neck.

Starscream and Megatron stood and ran toward the damaged Soundwave, who looked at Megatron and spoke sadly, "Who's the failure now-ow-oooooooow...," And his voice box deactivated, followed by his optic visor.

Megatron turned to Starscream and yelled, "Get Knockout online, and fix Soundwave!"

Starscream ran over to Knockout and pulled the medic to his feet, but the red Con fell back to the floor of the Nemesis as soon as Starscream released him. Starscream rushed over to Slayride, but found that he was in stasis as will, "I am afraid that is impossible at this time. Both of our medics are locked."

"Then put the three of them in stasis pods and send out Airachnid to find the humans. The need to finish Operation: Polyphemus is greater than ever and subtlety is not a luxery we can afford, no,"
"As you wish, my lord," Starscream bowed and exited.

    ***

Airachnid stood looking through the laser bars of the prisoner containment cell at the captive. He still wasn't awake, his dark optics revealed that easily enough. She stared at the young white and blue bot, who she could tell was blissfully unaware of his surroundings and the pain that awaited him should he wake. She snickered, turning to a knob on the wall and rose one of her extra arms to it. Yes, blissfully unaware, for the moment. But the knob she now intended to turn would inflict so much more pain then he would be able to stand, and then he would be quite awake.

But before she could do anything to the Autobot in the cell beside, she was interrupted by Starscream, barreling down the hall and almost running into her. He tried to talk but she cut him off.

    "Hello Starscream, what's the rush?"

"Lord Megatron has a mission for you. Soundwave failed to capture the humans, and-"

"He wants me to hunt them down," The femme smiled in a way that made Starscream's energon run cold, "Excellent. Let the hunt begin!"

Okay, now I have enough of Chapter 3 done to post some. I will post this chapter in parts, but starting from Chapter 4, I will post whole chapters.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Chapter 3: Hunted

Ratchet rolled through the portal into Omega 1, and immediately transformed, carefully placing the two children onto the ground. Walking up to the main console of the base, he turned it on and opened a comm channel. An image of Optimus Prime appeared on the screen.

    "Optimus, how goes the mission?"

"Not well," Optimus replied, "The Cons got here first and made off with the pilot, and whatever he may have held in his possession."
"Do you need any back up?"

"No, just be ready to open the Ground Bridge when I give the word. I think we have the cons on the run."

The humans noticed Ratchet flinch at the sound of a blast near Optimus and could faintly hear Starscream call retreat, and the sound of a ground bridge opening. Over the comm, Optimus's voice could be heard roaring, followed by the sound of a blade slicing through the air and high pitched shriek of energy. The sound of the ground bridge closing was followed by Optimus talking over the link, "Ratchet, a ground bridge would be prime."

Ratchet pulled down the activation lever, and a long circular hallway lit up the same shade of green as a bridge and the solid concrete wall at the end began to shimmer. Soon, the large red and grey form of the Prime strode through the rippling surface, followed by the smaller forms of Arcee and Huffer carrying Bumblebee between them.
Ratchet turned and gave a salute, which Optimus returned. Lowering his right arm, Ratchet gestured towards Jack and Raf with his left, "Optimus, the Decepticons have discovered the location of the children of Agents 1 and 7. I took the liberty of bringing them here."

"Good thinking Ratchet," Optimus leaned down to be eye level with the humans, "You may be wondering who we are."

"Well, uh, yeah. I was," Jack stuttered.

"We are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron. We fight for the right of other sentient lifeforms to be free. We are the Autobots."

"And you are fighting the Decepticons?" Raf half asked, half stated.

"Yes, led by my former friend Megatron. Like us, they fight for freedom from oppression, but unlike us, their definition of freedom is doing whatever the Emperor of Destruction commands. But, the current Emperor of Destruction is lost to them, and they are attempting to locate him. But, that has not been easy for them. Your government located him years ago, and they split his coordinates into seven sets of digits, each of which was assigned to an agent. The seven agents were made a part of an alien life-form studying initiative, code-named Sector 7. To ensure that the codes would never be lost, Sector 7 inserted special microchips into one of each of the agent's children, corresponding to the agents number. The microchips could only be read by a solitary scanner housed in a human military base."

Here Ratchet cut in, "But, the humans made the scanner out of tech from the Emperor of Destruction, never expecting that perhaps other humans would not be the only things hoping to read the chips. The Decepticons exploited their shortsightedness, reading the microchips with ease."

"Yes," Optimus continued, "and now you two are the only ones who have not been taken by the Decepticons."

"Cool story and all, but my pop was a semi truck driver, not a secret agent," Jack replied.

"That was part of a cover up launched by Sector 7 to hide the truth. Your father was Agent 1: Robert Darby," Arcee spoke up this time looking at Jack. Then she turned to Raf, "And your father was Agent 7: Havier Esquevel."

"So who were the others?" Raf asked quietly.
    "Wel-"

"That is classified," a deep voice cut her off. Arcee and the others all looked up to a balcony high above the floor, to where an African American man in a suit and tie stood looking down at them, "Children of Agents or not, you have already told them more than I am comfortable with," The man walked down a steep set of stairs that wound along the circular walls of the base.

    "Who are you?" Jack asked.

"I am Agent William Fowler. Liaison between the Autobots and the U. S. of A. And I am here to put my foot down," He stomped on the ground for effect and turned to Ratchet, "I understand rescuing Jack and Rafael, but doing it in robot mode was uncalled for. I had to get my friends at 'you know where' to gas the entire block with class A amnesiacs."

"Well, nobody said your government has ta keep us a secret," Huffer commented snidely.

"Nobody asked your opinion," Fowler replied, "When, Uncle Sam decides that you need to be kept secret, then by the fifty stars, I'm going to do my best to oblige him."

"Ooh hoo, yeah. Yer doin' a great job to, General Smoozer," Huffer mockingly replied, "Ya know, I don't know anyone who would believe a robot trying ta smash em over their friendly neighborhood bacon . I mean, da pigs er always right."

Fowler scowled and prepared to argue with the annoying bot, but was thankfully stopped by the sound of his phone ringing. Giving one last angry glance at Huffer, Fowler turned away and answered the call,
"This is Agent William Fowler, who is this?"

"This is Captain Fanzone of the Jasper Police Department."

"Ah, Fanzone. What do ya need?"

"Well, one Mrs. June Darby is calling, her son is not at school or at home. Seeing as the June's late husband was a member of Sector 7, I figured I should call you to see if there is anything going on."

"Some Cons attacked Agent 1's son along with the son of Agent 7. They are safe and I am handling the situation."

"Okay, Fanzone out," The sound of fumbling could be heard, followed by several unprintable words and Fanzone yelling, "This is why I hate mach-" Fowler hung up.

"Prime, the parents of Jack and Raf are asking questions. We need to get them home."

"Very well, but the Decepticons are likely to attempt another kidnapping. I insist on sending Autobot escorts with the children."

"You know what, fine! But try not to cause to cause any more ruckus than you have to. I don't want rumors of Iron Giants circulating around like that time in Detroit," Fowler stated, glaring at Bumblebee, who grinned sheepishly.

"Don't worry, Agent Fowler," Optimus said in a rather annoyed tone. I have briefed Bumblebee on the importance of mantaining cover since then. He will be fine escorting Rafael home. Arcee will accompany Jack."

"Great, just great," Fowler lifted his fingers to the bridge of his nose, "I will allow this on a trial basis, but be warned," Fowler held up to fingers to his eyes and then turned his hand towards Optimus similarly, "I'm watching you all."

He turned and walked back up the stairs to the balcony and exited through the same door he had entered.

"What is his problem?" Jack questioned.

"Fowler dislikes Cybertronians," Optimus replied, "and with good reason. Both of his daughters were killed by the Decepticons. Agent Fowler is Agent 2 of Sector 7 and they were after the microchip held by his younger daughter. "

    "I see," Jack replied sadly.

"Eh, our whole world is fragged, do ya see me being an aftport?" Huffer remarked.

"Do you want me to answer that?" Arcee snarked.

"Betta question is," Huffer made a fist, "Do you want ta answer it?"

Optimus glared at the two bots and they settled down. Then he turned to the humans, "You best be getting home. Arcee, Bumblebee, transform and roll out."

Arcee and Bumblebee transformed and the humans got in, Jack sitting in Arcee's driver seat, while Raf buckling himself into Bumblebee's passenger side. The main door of the base opened and the two vehicles drove out. They roared down the highway and after a few minutes reached the town. Bumblebee swerved onto a side street to get to Raf's house, but Arcee continued straight. Arcee soon pulled up to Jack's house, and the human got out.

He walked towards the garage door to open it, but was interrupted by his mother asking him, "Where have you been all day?" Jack jumped and turned to see her standing by the front door, with her hands on her hips and her foot tapping impatiently on the ground.

Jack struggled to think of something that wouldn't be a complete lie, but wouldn't give away the information about the Autobots either. "Sorry for not calling Mom, but I have had a really stressful day. When Raf, Miko, and I where walking to school, this detective guy jumped us and tied up Miko. But before he could get me or Raf, some guy driving an ambulance scared him off and drove us to the police station in Whitfeild. Raf and I have been there most of the day. After we got done answering questions, a couple of off duty officers drove us home," Jack rapidly said, barely pausing for breath, and it wasn't entirely untrue.

June made a face that showed she didn't believe him, but she didn't push the subject. Instead she just ushered him inside and closed the door. Across the street, in a dark alleyway, a tall robotic figure with long spider-like extra arms watched with a smirk on her face.

What's this, tall dark female figure with spider arms creeping after Jacks and Junes? Uh-oh, methinks me know this figure! 0_0

Pretty good writing, Lego; I quite like the description and the dialogue of the characters :D

Though I am concerned this seems more like a TFP fic with Huffer thrown in than a LegoShockwaveverse, or is that intentional?

Yeah, when I originally started planning it, it was intended to be a Prime fic. But things are gonna change up a bit more as time goes on. :D
For example, this episode won't end so well as Preditory, not at all.
