"By The Smelting Pools"

Location: Autobot Bravo Base, British Columbia, Canada.

After raiding a Decepticon outpost for some much-needed Energon and ammunition, the Bravo Autobot crew returns to their forrest base. Inside, General Hound walks over to his custom-made solid oak rocking chair, where he flips a switch to activate the holigraphic moose head and bear rug.
Hound greatly enjoyed Earth and always wanted to have a log cabin, so he had his office transformed into his own personal "man cave". After lighting a fire in the fireplace, and setting hs hot mug of oil on his oak end-table, he proceded toward his bookshelf.
He selected the book "By The Smelting Pools" by Orion Pax. He turned the book over to read the description, it read, in Cybertronix: "The true tale of the brave Autobot platoon who risked life and spark during the tragic Battle of Darkmount Pass, as they struggle againsed impossible odds to defeat the evil Lord Straxus and rescue the brave young mech known as Scrounge."
Hound went back to his chair, slowly rocking while sipping his oil, and reading about one of Cybertron's bloodiest battles...

interesting.........wish you could have told us a bit more about the book.

Just a little update: The continuity is my personal G1 continuity. Autobot Alpha Base is located in Oregon, like the G1 cartoon. This is the main base, with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, etc., Bravo Base is the secondary base set up to monitor the Decepticon threat in BC. The autobots here are lead by General Hound. His crew of Autobots includes Inferno, Red Alert, Cliffjumper, Brawn, Warpath, Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Mirage, and Tracks. The Decepticons are lead by Blitzwing. Astrotrain, Octane, Dirge, Thrust, and Ramjet are the others, along with a few troopers.

The young Autobot in the catacombs saw a massive, stocky Decepticon with a fearsom pick-axe. Before the Aoutobot could turn to run, he was shot in the leg by the massive Decepticon's shoulder-mounted gatling gun. As the Decepticon lumbered over him, the Autobot pleaded, "Please! Have mercy! Please!" "Mercy is not dispenced here, !" The Decepticon replied, "only DEATH!" The Decepticon then plunged his pick-axe into the Autobots abdomen, transformed, and drove off, as the Autobot's Energon slowly drained from his wound, untill his spark went out...

Deep within the Decepticon-controlled state of Kaon lies the twisted province of Polyhex, home of the sick-minded, demented sadistic Decepticon overlord, Straxus. Considered evil and voilent even by Decepticon standards, Straxus was infamous for his treatment of Autobot prisoners; after being subjected to various cruel experiments by his second-in-command, Jhiaxus, Straxus sent any survivors of these experiments to the Smelting Pools. Before the war, these pools were used to melt down scrap metal to be recycled into spare parts for hospitals and weapons for the military. Now, however, they are used By Straxus to subject prisonersto a slow, exrutiating death. It is said that it takes up to three days for the molten Cybertronian metals to melt through to the spark chamber, thus most Autobots are still alive for quite a while after being thrown into the pools. Hound began to read. Some time into the war, the young Autobot spy, Scrounge was captured by Straxus. Scrounge was carrying information vital to the Autobot's victory. Elite Gurad Commander Dai Atlas sent a group of brave Autobots into Polyhex. It was up to the Cybertron Elite Guard to Rescue him. Lead by the noble Thunderclash, the Elite Guard consisted of Landshark, Flak, and Kup. Just then, he was interrupted by the beeping of his computer. It was the Elite Gurad* leader, Ultra Magnus. "Hound! We need your military experience for a mission" said Magnus. "What for?" asked Hound. "I thought the Elite Gaurd were trained for everything!" "Indeed Hound, but we need as many soldiers as we can get! Optimus is busy dealing with Megatron, and the Wreckers are probably dead. You're the only ones we can ask!" replied Magnus. "Alright, Magnus." said Hound. "What's the porblem?" "...Straxus has escaped from Garrus-9!"

And so concludes chapter 1



*The Elite Guard consists of Ultra Magnus, Kup, Blurr, Arcee, Springer, and Hot Rod.

Chapter 2

After informing the others, Hound and the rest of Bravo team boarded their shuttle and flew off to Iacon state. There, they were greeted by Ultra Magnus. He led them to the Elite Guard base and introduced Kup, Springer, Arcee, Blurr, and Hotrod, and the new recruits, Junkions Wreck-Gar and Junkheap, and the rookies, Bumper and Tailgate. All 20 Autobots boarded the Elite Guard's armoured mobile base, "Powered Convoy", and proceded to Polyhex.

Polyhex, home of the infamous fortress of evil, Darkmount. The Autobots proceded toward the entrance of the imposing fortress. The massive doors were locked, there was only one way to open them. "Cliff! ordered Hound, "You know what to do!" Cliffjumper examined the doors. "Stand back, guys!" Cliffjumper then pulled out a large round object. He placed it on the doors, and a screen flashed on. Cliffjumper punched in a code, then ran back to the others. "Wait for it!" said Cliff. *BOOM* The device exploded and the doors were blasted open. Now they just need to find Straxus, and try to get out alive!
