The Revenge of Airachnid Pt. 3 When Airachnid returned to the ship, Megatron was expecting her with Soundwave by his side. “I assume Soundwave told you about what I’ve been doing?” Airachnid asked. “Yes, and it appears that you are trying to repeat what happened on Cybertron.” Megatron said. “What makes you say that?” Airachnid asked, and Soundwave gladly played to her what AP101 told Roadburn. “Hm. No wonder she knew these kids ages,” Airachnid said as she showed Megatron the two little girls she captured. “What made you think you could do this without my knowledge?” Megatron asked. “I still believe I can give you AndreaPrime101 and Roadburn. I may still be learning about this planet, but one thing is clear to me; the humans care deeply about family. So the perfect way to lure them into a trap is using their weaknesses against them, their greatest weaknesses.” Airachnid said. “I will allow this, but only this once. So do as you please as long as you bring AndreaPrime101 and Roadburn to me.” Megatron said, and Airachnid bowed before leaving again with the two little girls. “I will be quite surprised if we ever set eyes upon Airachnid again.” Megatron told Soundwave, and the latter agreed with his leader. Roadburn told Optimus what was going on with Arcee and AP101 with them. “In all likely hood, Megatron has let Airachnid come back to his ranks, and due to the recent events from when you discovered her and that she may know what Megatron wants, she may be trying to get revenge while pleasing her leader.” Optimus said. “And the best way she can do that is kidnapping my little sisters,” AP101 said. “She’s repeating what she did on Cybertron?” Arcee asked. “It would appear so, but the positions are different,” Roadburn said. “I’ll be happy to get AndreaPrime101’s sisters back,” Arcee said. “Arcee, please. We all know what had happened between you and Airachnid, and I would be disappointed to see you join your sisters in the Well of AllSparks.” Optimus said. “Optimus, please. Please let Arcee help. Arcee told me what had happened to her and that she’s been waiting for some form of redemption ever since. She and I know the time is here to earn it.” AP101 said. “Very well, AndreaPrime101,” Optimus said before the computers received an encrypted message from Airachnid. “And the mission starts now,” Roadburn said. In an open field out in the middle of nowhere, Airachnid was waiting with AP101’s sisters when Roadburn arrived with AP101 riding Arcee. “I see you got my message,” Airachnid said. “Loud and clear,” Roadburn said, and he transformed to robot form and threw his blasters to the ground. AP101 got off Arcee and did the same as she said, “See? We’re even putting our weapons down. Now my sisters.” “Fine, here you are. Both unscathed,” Airachnid said, handing the two little girls over. “They better be,” AP101 warned as she received her sisters. “Now that my end of the bargain was kept, you need to keep yours,” Airachnid said. “With pleasure,” AP101 said, then tapped her foot twice and Arcee transformed and shot at Airachnid. Airachnid dodged most of the shots and tried to counter attack, but Arcee was soon engaging with hand-to-hand combat. Roadburn grabbed his weapons and AP101’s little sisters as a Ground Bridge opened, then he bridged back to base as AP101 grabbed her blaster. Airachnid was beaten to the ground by Arcee, then she stood up and said, “Arcee, I should’ve known you’d come.” “Why wouldn’t I?” Arcee asked. “I can understand why you would hold a grudge, but I don’t understand why Roadburn did when we met again.” Airachnid said. “You killed his girlfriend and partner, and he wasn’t going to let another partner lose her family.” Arcee said, and fought with Airachnid, but the Decepticon was able to pound the Autobot and pin her down. “If I enjoyed terminating your sisters all those years ago, I’ll enjoy terminating you,” Airachnid said, but before Airachnid could do anything, AP101 brought the rain with blaster shots, warding airachnid off long enough to let Arcee finish the job she started. “This is for my sisters!” Arcee said, and gave Airachnid severe damage, but spared the Decepticon’s life. “What are you waiting for? End it,” Airachnid said. “I’m not like you,” Arcee said, then she and AP101 left via a Ground Bridge as Airachnid narrowed her eyes at them. “You did what a good soldier would do,” AP101 said. “Ignoring an enemy’s pleas for death?” Arcee asked. “Yeah. That Black Widow didn’t deserve it. All she deserved was a good beating for punishment.” AP101 said. “I’m sorry Airachnid kidnapped your sisters, and that you had to face my demons today. You were pretty calm there.” Arcee said. “I was actually pretty jittery, but I stayed back to let you get what you deserved yourself,” AP101 said, and Arcee smiled at her. When the two exited the Ground Bridge, AP101’s little sisters ran up to and hugged AP101, and she hugged them back. “So what did you do?” Roadburn asked. “I gave Airachnid what she deserved, but we’ll be seeing her again sometime in the future.” Arcee said. “At least you got to avenge your sisters and save AP101’s.” Roadburn said. “I know, and don’t you have to get the girls to school?” Arcee asked. “I think they have different ideas,” Roadburn said. “Andrea, I want to ride the motorcycle!” Lacey said. “Me too!” Bailey said. “It has to be okay with Arcee first, so ask her,” AP101 said. “I’ll take you, but you’ll have to be careful.” Arcee said. “Yay!” both Bailey and Lacey said. Meanwhile, Airachnid returned to the Decepticon ship, surprising Megatron as the leader had expected, and she received repairs from Knockout and Breakdown. “I’m guessing your plan didn’t work?” Knockout asked. “What do you think?” Airachnid asked sourly. “He was just trying to start a conversation,” Breakdown said. “I don’t feel like talking about it, muscles, so just patch me up so I can get back to work,” Airachnid said, and the two patched her up to get her out of the room.
A Cold Partnership Pt. 1 Roadburn and Knockout were fighting out in a canyon as they were searching for a strange signal and wound up bumping into each other. “This time, you won’t beat me!” Knockout said. “You wanna bet?!” Roadburn said, then gave Knockout an uppercut and sent the Decepticon flying backwards and over a ridge. Knockout landed on his back near the source of the signal, and he looked to see that the signal was a rigged device that he didn’t know anything about. “What the?” Knockout asked, then heard a weapon cock and found a MECH agent shot him, making Knockout skid on the ground with his feet. Roadburn came over to the ridge edge and found Knockout get surrounded by MECH agents as he noticed something different about Knockout. “Okay, is it me, or is Knockout getting smaller?” Roadburn wondered, then found his answer when Knockout was half his own size. “What’s happening to me?!” Knockout demanded as he noticed the unusual shrinking as well. “You’re merely getting shrunk down to size so we can handle you better,” Silas said, startling Knockout as the MECH leader came through his line of ground units, then Knockout stopped shrinking when he was the same size as AP101. “I wouldn’t count on you surviving if you don’t return me back to size!” Knockout said as he pulled out his drill and circular saw. “Gentlemen, put him down!” Silas said, and the MECH agents started to move in on Knockout. Roadburn started to shoot at the MECH agents, allowing Knockout to beat some of them away as Roadburn continued his distraction, and Silas was forced to call a retreat to prevent his men from being killed. As MECH left, Roadburn looked at Knockout, and Knockout looked at himself before he said, “I’m the size of a human! Those insects will pay for this!” “Your problem, not mine,” Roadburn said. “Don’t think you’re just going to leave me here like this! You need to have your scientist and medic return me back to normal!” Knockout said. “Oh, so you’re asking me for help? Why don’t you call Megatron and have him reverse this?” Roadburn asked. “The last time one of us Decepticons got bested by humans, he was on his own. If Megatron were to hear of this, he’d say the same thing!” Knockout said. Roadburn groaned and called Ratchet saying, “Ratchet, we have a situation.” “Wait, Knockout got shrunk by MECH?” AP101 asked after Roadburn and Knockout came to the Autobot base. “Yes, and Megatron’s not going to do anything about Knockout’s situation since he was bested by humans.” Roadburn said. “Just like in ‘Operation: Breakdown’, only this time, there’s no restraining or dissecting.” AP101 said. “This situation is reversible, but it will take some time to build something to make Knockout his original size again. Knockout will have to stay with the two of you during the while.” Ratchet said. “How long?” Roadburn asked. “Well into December, at the earliest.” Ratchet said. “December?!” AP101 and Knockout exclaimed, then the two looked at each other before looking away. “Why is it bad?” Ratchet asked. “I don’t want to spend most of the month with Knockout the size of a human! And if you were to take longer to build the solution, I don’t want to spend my birthday and Christmas babysitting an enemy!” AP101 said. “Birthday?” Knockout asked. “The day I was born into this world. It’s celebrated every year because the human is one year older than in the past.” AP101 told Knockout. “So a creation day?” Knockout asked. “Something like that, only I was supposed to be born in January, so I was a bit premature on some final developments.” AP101 said. “Okay, if we’re done with human biology, I’d like to focus on working on our solution. So suck it up and start babysitting.” Ratchet said. AP101 frowned, then she and Roadburn left the base with Knockout via a Ground Bridge. Megatron saw what had happened to Knockout and what the Decepticon medic did when Soundwave reported in on why Knockout wasn’t back yet. “Knockout was right to assume that he was on his own. I don’t allow help to Decepticons who are bested by those smaller and weaker than him. The only exception would be with AndreaPrime101 since she has grown to be stronger than when we last met. Keep an eye on Knockout and see if anything interesting happens.” Megatron said, and Soundwave nodded. With MECH, Silas had his team scanning areas of the US thoroughly for Knockout’s signal, but had found nothing in all the places he was scanning. “Not one hit anywhere?” Silas asked. “Our transforming friends may have decided to cloak the country to keep anything from finding them, sir,” an agent said. “Then hack into traffic cameras and security cameras. We will surely get a visual on our target through a traffic or security feed,” Silas said. “Yes sir,” the agent said, and the team started to hack cameras.
A Cold Partnership Pt. 2 As they were heading to AP101’s house, AP101 just looked out the window with her back to Knockout as the Decepticon was experiencing first hand of being inside a vehicle. “This certainly is a bit relaxing,” Knockout said. “Hopefully you won’t have to ride with us for long,” AP101 said. “So much for a positive attitude toward this situation.” Knockout said. “AP101, I know you’re not thrilled about doing this, I know I’m not, but you can consider this as a thank you to Knockout for helping you get out of MECH’s capture when you needed help.” Roadburn said. “I know, but it doesn’t excuse him from the other things he’s done.” AP101 said. “Can’t you just put it aside until this is over with?” Roadburn asked. “I’ll try to, but I don’t know how the family and our friends will react to this. I mean, my mother knows Knockout from hunting season last year and Winston since the MECH situation, as far as I know of.” AP101 said. “Do you take things seriously like this?” Knockout asked. “Have to since it’s a secret war that the entire globe is unaware of. Plus past situations have given me, as the expression goes, a thicker layer of skin. I also have my own anger issues, so you might as well not make me angry.” AP101 said. “Trust her on that, her sisters get a taste of rage everyday they bug her.” Roadburn said. “Why should I when I have blasters and sharp weapons?” Knockout asked. “Because I have a blaster of my own and if you so much as destroy my house, you owe the entire family a new place to stay in Hartford.” AP101 said, and Knockout kept his mouth shut. When the group arrived, AP101 and Knockout walked into the house as Roadburn stayed in the street, and AP101’s siblings were surprised to see Knockout the same size as AP101. “Why?” Winston asked. “MECH,” AP101 said. “Is that Knockout?” Bailey asked. “Yes, he is,” AP101 said as she put her school things by the couch. “He’s bigger than your Transformers figures!” Bailey said. “Your sister seems to be okay with me,” Knockout said. “Bailey’s nine, she doesn’t totally understand things yet, and Lacey’s the same way, but she’s seven.” AP101 said. “Oh,” Knockout said. “And they might hit you with balloons an second now,” AP101 said, and Knockout was whacked by a yellow balloon. “GET HIM!!!” Bailey said, and she and Lacey whacked Knockout with their balloon weapons until the Decepticon popped the balloons with his fingertips. “Aw!” Lacey said. “Hit me with balloons again and the same thing will happen,” Knockout growled, and both little girls ran for their room. “Wow, you handled that better than I thought you would.” AP101 said. “What else should I expect from your family?” Knockout asked. “The little girls’ shenanigans, Winston playing Minecraft when he’s not on the internet or on his Xbox, household chores, and decorating for Christmas sometime later today and tomorrow.” AP101 said. “I guess humans are busier than they seem,” Knockout said. “Everyone works one way or another, even if they’re kids,” AP101 said, then took her school things to her room before taking her laptop downstairs with her so she could do laundry while listening to music on loop. Later that night, the situation was explained to AP101’s parents before AP101’s father had to leave for work again, and the girls of the house got the tree assembled to decorate for the next night. AP101 was watching Adult Swim on Channel 45 with her sisters when AP101’s mother said, “Okay, little girls, get your drinks and start heading for bed.” “But can we see ‘King of the Hill’ first?” Lacey asked, but AP101 turned the TV off to help her mother enforce the request. “You can watch it in your room,” AP101 said, and returned to her computer work. The little girls got their cups of milk for the night and walked to their rooms, and Knockout just watched AP101 as she turned the TV back on after her sisters were in bed. “I’m guessing this doesn’t apply to you?” Knockout asked. “Not really on Friday nights unless if there’s something important in the morning, like next week Saturday, I have an ACT at eight in the morning, and speaking of important tests, I also have a COMPASS test on the 4th of December at Southeast Tech since my career councilor helped me apply there sometime ago.” AP101 said. “Why would you want to go to a technical school? I’ve not seen you as a technology genius with human technology.” Knockout said. “I’m going there to get a degree in Graphic Design/Computer Graphics. I’m a computer savvy when it comes to creative things on the computer.” AP101 said, and continued her work as “American Dad!” started to air. “Oh. You don’t know how to hack, do you?” Knockout asked. “No. Hacking is against the law and violates internet laws, unless if you’re working with police to get evidence for a crime, or in Raf’s case in ‘Transformers: Prime’, trying to track down Agent Fowler and messing with Decepticon plans.” AP101 said. “And how has hacking helped with him?” Knockout asked. “He helped the Autobots save Agent Fowler, helped Ratchet fix his technical problems, kept Autobot sightings off the internet, tried to keep a Space Bridge pointed away from Cybertron, planted a virus into Laserbeak, and kept his house from being blasted off the face of the Earth when a very rogue Cylas gave Megatron a means of destroying the Autobots.” AP101 said. “All in that TV series?” Knockout asked. “Yep. And the kid’s twelve and a quarter.” AP101 said. “Wow,” Knockout said. “Yep,” AP101 said. When AP101 finally decided to go to bed, she made a place for Knockout to sleep at in the living room, but Knockout didn’t know what she was doing and asked, “What are you doing?” “Making you a place to sleep for the night. If you don’t sleep, I understand.” AP101 said as she pulled out the recliner part of the couch. “All Transformers have their share of stasis, don’t worry about that, but I haven’t been able to get much, now that you mention it.” Knockout said. “Then here’s your bed for the night,” AP101 said, then handed Knockout a blanket and headed for her room as she said, “Good night.” Knockout looked at the blanket, then sat on the couch spot that was his temporary bed, making himself comfortable, then entered stasis. AP101 crawled into bed and laid under the covers with her brown Snow Bear in her arms, then looked at her Deluxe Knockout on her collection shelf and drifted off. Near five o’clock in the morning, AP101 woke up from a nightmare, then quietly crept to her door and peeked out to the living room, finding Knockout still in stasis on the couch in a perfect sitting position, then took a quiet sigh of relief and crawled back into bed to get more sleep.
A Cold Partnership Pt. 3 Silas sent ground units around the state to look for Knockout and Roadburn, but had no such luck with finding them. “Sir, we’ve been unable to find either of them,” an agent told Silas. “Keep searching for them, those two are still out there.” Silas said. “MECH One to Silas, I believe we’ve spotted our target with the girl we abducted weeks ago,” an agent called in. “Good. Capture them both.” Silas said. AP101 and Knockout were on Southeast Tech grounds walking toward LodgeNet with AP101’s COMPASS test results. “You did pretty well on your test. I’m sure your mother will be pleased to hear of this.” Knockout said. “Thanks. At least I know I can skip taking college math when I go to Southeast.” AP101 said. “Oh, and I found you in stasis with a bear in your arms. Anything special about it?” Knockout asked. “I got it when I was baby. My 1994 Snow Bear was one of the first things I ever got. Reminds me that time has flown by since then.” AP101 said. “You were born in 1994?” Knockout asked. “Yeah, so I’ll be eighteen in two weeks from Monday.” AP101 said. “I see,” Knockout said. After crossing a busy street, a van started to follow them, and AP101 noticed when the van pulled into the Maple Townhouse complex and parked in a driveway. “What is it?” Knockout said. “Nothing. Just some van that looks familiar,” AP101 said. Knockout looked at the van and did a thermal scan of its contents, finding eight people inside the van. “There are eight people inside it, all of them armed.” Knockout said. “Scrap,” AP101 said. “What are we going to do?” Knockout asked. “I have to get to LodgeNet so mom knows I’m safe. We might have to take a detour.” AP101 said. “There’s a road east of here that can lead us straight to the front door of the facility, I suggest taking that road.” Knockout said. “Good idea,” AP101 said, and the two started East. The driver of the van took notice and said, “They’re headed East. They most likely know we’re in the van.” “Then go after them,” another agent said, and the driver started to drive off road. AP101 and Knockout saw the van coming toward them and started to run, but the van blocked their way to the road. “Go! Get to the facility!” Knockout said. “But-” AP101 said, but Knockout interrupted, “Go before I change my mind!” and AP101 ran as the agents started to pour out of the van. “You four, after her!” an agent said, and four agents started chasing AP101 as the rest focused on Knockout. AP101 ran until her foot was glued to the ground with super putty, then she pulled out her blaster and started to fire on the MECH agents, hitting their weapons and making the devices explode in their hands. The agents weren’t deterred until one of them was hit in arm, making them retreat, then AP101 dug her foot out of the putty and headed back for Knockout. Knockout had destroyed the weapons and used his blades to make the agents keep their distance, then the four that chased AP101 came back and tried to attack from behind, but Knockout got them off easily before he started to become overwhelmed by the agents. AP101 shot blaster fire on the agents, hitting either their backs, arms or legs, and Knockout was able to get them off again and pulled out his Energon prod. “Don’t make me use this!” Knockout said, but the agents tried at him again, getting shocked down to the ground. Knockout finished shocking all the agents when AP101 got to the area, then the girl said, “Hope you put them to sleep so they can wake up hours later.” “Of course I did, now let’s go,” Knockout said, and the two ran off for LodgeNet. Soundwave had caught sight of the battle and showed Megatron what had happened, shocking the Decepticon leader. “AndreaPrime101 actually helped Knockout?” Megatron asked, and Soundwave nodded. “Foolish of her to do that,” Megatron said. AP101 and Knockout reached LodgeNet safely and entered the building to get visitor passes after Knockout put on a disguise that made him look like a young adult. “You came back to help me. Why?” Knockout asked. “Because you’re my responsibility. If Megatron thinks it’s foolish, let him, but I’m sure this is good entertainment to him.” AP101 said. “Megatron’s watching?” Knockout asked. “I spotted Laserbeak flying around in the air today. So yeah, Megatron is watching you.” AP101 said. “I never thought that he would,” Knockout said. “Same here, so Laserbeak was a small surprise to see.” AP101 said. “How long before I go back to normal size?” Knockout asked. “I’ll call Ratchet,” AP101 said, then grabbed her communicator and said, “AP101 to Autobot base. Ratchet, are you there?” “I’m here, AndreaPrime101, go ahead.” Ratchet said. “Is our solution ready to use on Knockout?” AP101 asked. “Wheeljack and I made a prototype, but it ended up making the test subjects grow big enough to explode.” Ratchet said. “What are you using?” AP101 asked. “Expired foods,” Ratchet said. “Ew! That’s gotta be gross!” AP101 said. “That’s what all the soldiers said, and yet, they clean it all up anyway.” Ratchet said. “So when can we expect a good final product?” AP101 asked. “I’ll let you know when. Just keep babysitting.” Ratchet said, and hung up on AP101. “There’s an answer. It might as well be my birthday until you get back to normal size.” AP101 said. “Then I’ll make sure that me going back to the Decepticons at my normal size be your birthday present.” Knockout said. “Fingers crossed then,” AP101 said, then when 5:05 p.m. came, AP101’s mother took them home. Silas looked at the damage to his agents when they arrived back to the MECH base hours later, then said, “Medic, take care of our injured. The girl and the Decepticon seem more powerful as a team than we thought.” “Yes sir,” the MECH medic said, then got to work.
Here's something for Christmas, and I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas tomorrow! Christmas Special Roadburn and the family were out at the farm after having left on the 21st of December to spend Christmas with the father’s side of the family with the mother’s side of the family waiting until the 29th to spend their Christmas together. Roadburn was watching Ink Master when AP101 came out of the house ready to go to the Autobot base. “Hey Roadburn, ready to go?” AP101 asked. “You bet I am!” Roadburn said, then AP101 hopped into Roadburn and they bridged to the base. When they arrived, Wildfrost, T+C, Bumblebee and Kaitlin were waiting for them, then AP101 got out so Roadburn could transform, and the group walked to the main hangar. “I wonder what the girls’ surprise is?” Wildfrost asked. “I don’t know, but I hope it doesn’t take too long. AP101’s grandparents still don’t know about us.” Roadburn said. “I thought they’d know by now, since T+C’s parents and brother do already.” Wildfrost said. When the group got to the main hangar, Wildfrost and Roadburn were surprised to see a huge Christmas tree in the hangar and that some of the Autobots were wearing Santa hats. “Whoa!” Wildfrost said. “Unbelievable!” Roadburn said. “We and Bumblebee planned this out since we still had the size ray gun and accidentally made one of our Santa hats grow large enough for Bumblebee to wear, then we got permission to get festive from the Captain and Optimus.” Kaitlin said. “We even have hats for you too,” Bumblebee said, and handed Wildfrost and Roadburn a Santa hat. Roadburn and Wildfrost put the hats on, then the two started to chat with the other Autobots as the girls got ready for the second part of the surprise. Roadburn got done chatting with Ratchet when Optimus came over to the former and said, “Roadburn.” “Yes sir?” Roadburn said. “I would like to congratulate you on your skills to protect your partner and her kind from the Decepticon threat and helping her learn how to protect herself should she ever be without you.” Optimus said. “Thank you sir,” Roadburn said. “I am also pleased to hear that the two of you were able to rise above yourselves to help an enemy in his hour of need,” Optimus said. “Knockout sort of insisted that we help him, and AP101 and I both knew that it was something you’d do as well.” Roadburn said. “Attention everyone!” T+C said to get the Autobots and soldiers attentions to the stage. “Are you all having a good time tonight?” T+C asked, and everyone said positive comments about their Christmas party. “I’m glad to hear that. AP101 and Kaitlin have a little surprise for you, but before that, AP101 would like to say a few words.” T+C said, and the soldiers and some of the Autobots clapped as AP101 and Kaitlin got onto the stage. “Hi everyone. I’d just like to say that I’ve never met anyone as noble all of you here, and that everyone that sacrificed their lives for the greater good are always remembered no matter what.” AP101 said, and the Autobots quietly agreed with nods. “And I’d also like to say that Roadburn is one of the best Autobots I’ve ever met over the one year I’ve been involved in this war. He is trustworthy, loyal, strong, brave, and most of all, a best friend no one could ever replace.” AP101 said, and Roadburn smiled as everyone clapped. “And now, without further a due, AP101 and Kaitlin’s surprise!” T+C said, and the lights dimmed before music started to play. When AP101 started singing the lead to “Do You Hear What I Hear” with Kaitlin singing back up, everyone in the room listened with astonishment and in complete silence to the performance. “AP101’s singing is really beautiful! So is Kaitlin’s!” Wildfrost whispered to Roadburn. “I know,” Roadburn whispered back. When AP101 and Kaitlin were finished, the two were congratulated for their performance as they got to Roadburn, Wildfrost and Optimus. “I knew you could lip-sync, but your singing was amazing. Your performance was wonderful.” Roadburn said. “Thanks, Roadburn. I’m glad you liked it.” AP101 said with a smile. “Excuse me, but I believe that it’s time that the girls and their partners to head back to their families in Michigan and South Dakota now.” Captain Foster said. “Very well, Captain Foster.” Optimus said. “Guess we should be going then.” Wildfrost said. “Until we meet again, my friends.” Optimus said. Bumblebee, Wildfrost, Roadburn, AP101, T+C and Kaitlin said their good byes to the Autobots and the soldiers, then bridged back to their respectful places. When Roadburn and AP101 returned to the farm, AP101 was already dressed in new pink pajamas she got from her mother earlier in the month, and Roadburn yawned. “Did you like the Christmas party?” AP101 asked. “I did, and I’m glad you did too, since you and the others worked hard on getting it together.” Roadburn said. AP101 smiled, then said, “Well, better let you get some sleep, because there’s going to be a lot of stuff happening in the morning.” AP101 said. “Good idea. Scavenger Hunt Pt. 1 After waiting patiently, Roadburn and AP101 got word on a working ray gun and returned Knockout to back to his original size without a problem. “It was about time!” Knockout said. “Yeah, now get out of here before we change our minds.” AP101 said. “Fine,” Knockout said, then transformed and left. “About time he’s gone. I’ve been having nightmares during his stay.” AP101 said. “About him backstabbing us?” Roadburn asked. “Yeah. But hopefully the nightmares stop.” AP101 said. “Hopefully, and speaking of dreams, I had one where I was human for a day.” Roadburn said. “Really?” AP101 asked. “Yeah. I was in my mid 20s and didn’t know how to drive.” Roadburn said. “Sounds like something from Transformers: Animated where that happened in a virtual reality program, but let’s hope Soundwave doesn’t get the idea for real.” AP101 said. After returning to the Decepticon ship, Knockout told Megatron and Breakdown about his experience with Roadburn and AP101. “So, you traveled where the girl traveled?” Breakdown asked. “She didn’t want me out of her sight, or Roadburn’s.” Knockout said. “At least she had the right mind for the Autobots to keep you in one piece.” Breakdown said. “But foolish to allow you in Autobot territory for an extended amount of time. Soundwave had Laserbeak watching after you.” Megatron said. “Well played,” Knockout said with mixed feelings. “What’s the matter, Knockout? Afraid that we know about you and the kid helping each other out?” Breakdown asked. “That and I’m afraid you might’ve gotten sometimes where we’ve had some personal conversations.” Knockout said. “That would be your loss, Knockout, but I am allowing you to stay in our ranks since Breakdown works better with you in the medical field. Do not make me regret this decision.” Megatron said. “Yes, Lord Megatron.” Knockout said. I’m going to STI!” AP101 said, then realized something and said, “And Winston plans on going to Dakota State University in Madison.” “Oh right. Freshmen are required to stay there for their first year, and that means being his truck instead of your guardian.” Roadburn said. “I’m afraid so. Your vehicle mode is under his care insurance, and I don’t have my official license so I can’t own a car just yet.” AP101 said. “I’d ask Bumblebee and Wildfrost if they could watch over you, but Bumblebee has Kaitlin to look after and Wildfrost has T+C.” Roadburn said. “Can you talk to the Autobots about this? Maybe Optimus could have a solution to our dilemma.” AP101 said. “I can, but I don’t know if anyone would want to be your secondary guardian.” Roadburn said, then started to pick up a signal and said, “I’m getting a signal.” “And I’m seeing an escape pod coming!” AP101 said, and an escape pod soared over Hartford and landed in an empty spot near the town. “Come on,” Roadburn said, and both he and AP101 drove to the crash site to investigate. When they arrived, Roadburn let AP101 out and transformed to robot form, then carried AP101 to the escape pod due to snowy conditions. “Looks like the pod suffered an Energon lead when it crashed.” AP101 said, noticing the trench half filled with liquid Energon. “Be glad that it doesn’t get absorbed in dirt.” Roadburn said, then cleaned off part of the pod to find it was of Decepticon origin. “Uh oh,” AP101 said. “The last thing we need right now,” Roadburn said, then one side of the pod burst open, making Roadburn pull out his blaster. The occupant inside stumbled out as a blue and white Cybertronian with an Autobot insignia on his chest, but Roadburn didn’t move his blaster. “Who are you?” Roadburn asked. “I’m an Autobot, Smokescreen! I’m friendly!” the Cybertronian said, and Roadburn lowered the blaster as AP101 checked and found records on Smokescreen that confirmed his identity. “What were you doing in a Decepticon escape pod?” Roadburn asked. “I was getting off a Decepticon Prison Transport. The escape pod was a long distance pod and knocked me into stasis. Last I remember before being taken prisoner was helping Alpha Trion get the most important Cybertronian relics off Cybertron.” Smokescreen said. “Wait, you worked with Alpha Trion?” Roadburn asked. “It’s true. Records say he was assigned to be Alpha Trion’s bodyguard after being dispatched from the Autobot Elite Guard.” AP101 said. “I also have my insignias to prove that too,” Smokescreen said, showing the Elite Guard insignias to Roadburn. “Okay, I believe you, but Optimus Prime will need convincing,” Roadburn said, then red blaster fire started to whiz past the group as a group of Eradicons found the Autobot group. “How’s the fighting concerned?” AP101 asked. “Watch and learn,” Smokescreen said, then shot at the Eradicons and took out six Eradicons easily before a stray shot hit the pool of Energon. “Fall back!” Roadburn said, and the Autobots ran before the ignited Energon reached the escape pod, destroying it and and the rest of the Eradicons as well as blowing the Autobot group away. After the group landed, Roadburn shook snow off as Smokescreen sat up, then the latter looked around and asked, “Dude, where’d your partner go?” “O-Over here,” AP101 said, and the two Autobot found AP101 shivering with snow all over her and stuck to her hair. “C-Can we g-go to the Autobot b-base now?” AP101 asked. “Sure. Ratchet, we need a bridge, and some towels and a blanket.” Roadburn said, and a Ground Bridge appeared for the group.
