Hey! This is my second fanfic with Transformers: Prime this time, but will be different in someways. Updates will come whenever.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The hometown used in this will not be geographically correct to as it really is in real life!

Dark Times Pt. 1 Section 1

On her way to a small town in South Dakota, an Autobot named Arcee was driving on her own, thinking about what had happened earlier that day to a close comrade, his last transmission to her echoing in her mind, "Arcee, about that back up." "I should've called for back up for him against his wishes, but now it's too late and there's no way to bring him back." Arcee told herself, then remembered what she had said before leaving for her drive, "If Cliff's gone, standing around sulking won't bring him back." Arcee pulled over to clear her head of the recent events so she could focus on her life-long mission, then continued on the road to the small town, unaware that two dark-purple cars were following her. After entering the town's city limit, Arcee noticed the cars in her side-view mirror saying, "Twins," then pulled into a strip mall and parked in the parking lot. The cars drove by, and Arcee made sure that the cars were gone before saying, "Take five, Sadie," then shut her holographic driver off and rested in the parking lot.

While resting, Arcee was reminiscing some memories with a red Autobot, of how the two fought Decepticons together, how they got to Earth, and what they had to deal with before their fellow team mates helped them out. Arcee could remember those times easily, but soon found herself thinking of the last time she had heard from her comrade alive, and had no choice but to remember her last chat with Cliffjumper.

"So there I am on the look out when these high beams light up my rear view, and then it hits me: I'm illegally parked!" Cliffjumper had said. "Another parking ticket?" Arcee had asked. "Better, the boot!" Cliffjumper said. "Big metal tire clamp, impossible to remove." Arcee said. "Bingo! So I let the local police do their thing, and I let them get all the way down the block, that's when I kick off my new shiny shoe and... BANG!" Cliffjumper said. "New York's finest soil themselves." Arcee said. "You know me, Arcee. You mess with Cliffjumper," Cliffjumper started, and Arcee ended, "And you get the horns," and she heard Cliffjumper laugh. "I'm not sure how that complies with Autobot rule number one: Keep a low profile?" Arcee told him. "What can I say? Patrolling for Energon out here in Dulls-ville gets a little lonesome. Almost makes me miss the Decepticons." Cliffjumper said. "Like South Dakota's a party? We're alone where ever we travel on this rock, Cliff." Arcee said, then she heard some beeping at Cliffjumper's end before being told, "I'm getting a signal." "Need back up?" Arcee asked. "Do I ever need back up?" Cliffjumper asked, then Arcee heard tires squealing to Cliffjumper turning, and heard Cliffjumper come to a stop before he said, "I just found a whole lot of Energon!" "Great job," Arcee thought, but then heard Cliffjumper transform and say, "Decepticons!" alarming her that the Decepticons had returned as gun fire and crashing echoed through the comm link, then heard Cliffjumper say, "Arcee, about that back up."

"I'm on it!" Arcee told him, and contacted Optimus Prime. "Arcee to Optimus, the 'Cons are back. Cliffjumper could be neck deep in scrap." Arcee told the Autobot leader. "Understood," Optimus said, then contacted Ratchet. "Ratchet, do you have Cliffjumper's coordinates?" Optimus asked. "I'm locked on his signal, Optimus, but our team's scattered across time zones." Ratchet said. "Arcee, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, report back to base and prepare to Ground Bridge." Optimus said, and Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee headed for base, which was hidden under a former military recreation site in a restricted area. Optimus and Ratchet arrived shrotly after, and they all bridged to Cliffjumper's last known position, only to find the aftermath of the battle that had taken place. "An untapped Energon deposit." Optimus said. "What's left of it." Bulkhead said. "The first Decepticon activity we've had in three years." Ratchet said. "That we know of," Optimus noted, then looked at the smoking pit and said, "If they are scouting for Energon, they may be preparing for his return." The Autobot group started to look around for any sign of Cliffjumper, and Arcee found a horn stuck in the ground, recognizing it immediately and picking it up. "No," Arcee said, and showed Optimus and Ratchet. "Ratchet, can you track his position?" Optimus asked, and Ratchet pulled out his scanners, only for a life signal to disappear one minute after pulling them out. "No! Cliffjumper's life signal just went offline." Ratchet said with a low voice, and they knew that they were too late. Ratchet was able to reactivate the Ground Bridge to bridge them back to base, but Arcee took a minute to look into the sky and catch a glimpse of a black spot grow smaller and smaller. " 'Cons," Arcee said with anger and remorse, then ran through the Ground Bridge back to base.

After getting back, the sun was just starting to set as the remaining Autobots mourned over their loss of Cliffjumper. "We mustn't let our anger over the loss of Cliffjumper to impair our judgement. As of today, only we five Autobots remain on this Earth. We owe it to ourselves, to the memory of Cybertron, to any Autobots in any galaxy seeking safe harbor, to human kind," Optimus said to his team, and Arcee brought and laid the horn on the ground before the group as Optimus ended, "and we owe it to our fallen comrade to survive." Arcee stood after laying the horn down, then turned and started walking away. "Arcee?" Optimus said, and all Arcee had to say was, "If Cliff's gone, standing around sulking won't bring him back. So unless anyone minds, I think I'll go back to protecting human kind," then transformed and drove off.

Arcee snapped out of the memory when she heard two kids teasing another kid, who was sitting on the seat of her vehicle mode. "Leave me alone, my business is my business!" the kid sitting on Arcee said as the Autobot used her side-view mirror to look at the kid, who turned out to be a blonde-haired girl wearing a jean jacket that was a little worn out, then found the two dark-purple cars from earlier and said in a whisper, "Come on, kid, wrap it up." "Why should we?" one of the other kids asked. " 'Cause I'll pound your faces into your skulls if you don't!" the blonde kid said, then two sets of high beams lit up the area, and all the kids looked to see the dark-purple cars as they revved their engines dangerously. "Scrap!" Arcee said. The cars moved forward by a foot, scaring off the two kids who were bullying the blonde girl, then Arcee started up and started for the gap between the two cars, frightening the blonde girl into holding on for the ride as the child yelled, "Hey!" The kid then saw that they were heading for the cars and yelled out, "Whoa!"

Dark Times Pt. 1 Section 2

"Tracey! Tracey, get up! It's time for school!" a mother was saying in a loud voice, and a blonde-haired girl sat up in bed with her loose ponytail in a mess. "Why can't today be Saturday?" Tracey yawned, then checked the clock and found the time was 7:45 a.m. "Aw man. No breakfast at home again," Tracey mumbled, then got out of bed and changed into some fresh clothes: A white T-shirt over a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and her jean jacket. After fixing her ponytail, Tracey gathered her school thing together and left for school. Once she got to the school, Tracey went straight to class, only to get some trouble from two girls, Kaylee and Rickelle. "Hey Tracey, how you doing?" Kaylee asked. "Fine until you showed up," Tracey thought to herself, staying quiet to the two girls, then Rickelle said, "Hey, she asked you a question." Tracey stayed quiet, so Rickelle grabbed Tracey by the shoulder and forced the girl to her feet. "Are you deaf?" Kaylee asked. Tracey got herself out of Rickelle's grasp, then a boy named Andrew came and said, "Hey, leave Tracey alone!" Kaylee and Rickelle backed off, and Andrew asked, "Are you okay?" "Y-yeah. I'm fine." Tracey said, quickly sitting down. "So, um, do you have some time after school so we can hang?" Andrew asked. "N-no. I-I have work after school." Tracey said. "Oh, okay." Andrew said, then went to his seat as the teacher came in. "Aw man! I messed up a chance to talk to Andrew!" Tracey thought to herself, covering her head with her hands. The whole class time, Kaylee and Rickelle glared at Tracey, and Tracey tried hard not to notice too much, then the bell dismissed the class to their next one, and Tracey rushed out of the room as quickly as she could to avoid her bullies.

During lunch, Tracey didn't have much to call a meal as she remembered her father, who had died of a wound from war, then pulled her jean jacket close to her as his last words echoed in her head, "You'll never be alone, Tracey. Know that there are other people who care about you." "You cared the most, Dad, you cared the most." Tracey thought, then returned the tray to the cafeteria and walked to her third class. After school, Tracey left for home walking, noticing a blue motorcycle heading out of town as she walked, but ignored the motorcycle and kept walking. Once she got home, Tracey put her school things in her room, and left for work at a fast food place in a strip mall making subs and pizzas.

While working, Tracey thought about the dream she had last night that was still fresh in her head, which was a fight between a bunch of dark-purple robots and a red robot. "Fair warning, boys. I'll put a few dings in ya," the red robot said, then the fight began with a hand-to-hand combat, taking out three to four of the dark-purple robots before they started to get an upper hand, knocking the red robot around and breaking off one of his horns. The red robot was punched into the pit he was at, which was filled with blue crystals, then the red robot got to his feet as some of the dark-purple robots came down onto the side of the pit, then the red robot said, "You want the horns? You got 'em," then he pulled out some guns and started to open fire on the dark-purple robots, taking one out in one shot. The dark-purple robots returned fire until the crystals exploded from being hit by some of the shots, the plume engulfing the red robot and the dark-purple robots that were in the pit.

After the explosion, the two remaining dark-purple robots had grabbed the now weakened red robot and were dragging him to their ship, then disappeared inside the dark corridors of it. In the bridge of the ship, a gray robot with red eyes was at a console and had seen the explosion, becoming disappointed by it. "The Energon, it's worthless to me now," the gray robot said with a low, evil voice, then growled a bit before the red robot was brought to him and thrown to the ground. "Scream, it's been a while," the red robot said, then coughed before saying, "So, where's your master?" "Never mind him! I am my own master," the gray robot said, then impaled the red robot in the chest with his hand and asked, "Any more questions?" The red robot couldn't say anything as the gray robot removed his hand from the new wound he had made, then the red robot collapsed to the ground as the new wound leaked out blue fluids and didn't get back up. "Clean that up!" the gray robot said, and the dark-purple robots did as the ship started to leave the area.

After getting a good distance away from the battle site, a blue-teal robot with no face walked up to the gray robot, and the latter asked, "Soundwave, what is it?" "Like South Dakota's a party? We're alone where ever we travel on this rock, Cliff," the blue-teal robot, Soundwave, played for the gray robot to hear. The voice in the play-back was female and had a computerized sound to it, then the gray robot said, "Hm, the one named Arcee. Why slay just one Autobot when we still have the advantage of surprise?"

"Tracey. Tracey!" an employee said, and Tracey snapped out of her daydreaming saying, "What? I zoned out again, didn't I?" "Yeah, and it's a good thing that you did while mopping," the employee said. "What time is it?" Tracey asked. "It's the end of your shift," the employee said. "Alright, I'll see you Monday." Tracey said, grabbing her jacket as the employee took the mop. "See ya," the employee said. Tracey got out of the fast food place when her cell phone rang, and Tracey answered the call from her mother. "Hey mom, no I just got off... No, mom, I'm not going to the dance, I have study time and a ton of homework... Be careful? Seriously mom? This is Wessington Springs." Tracey said, then noticed the same blue motorcycle from earlier that day, then told her mother, "I love you too, mom. Gotta go," and put the cell phone in a jean pocket.

"Okay, what is with this ride? I see it almost everyday." Tracey said, then got on the motorcycle and said, "It might take a few paychecks, but I'm going to own a ride like this some day." "Oh Kaylee, look, Tracey's talking to motorcycles," a voice said, and Tracey looked to see Kaylee and Rickelle. "What do you want?" Tracey asked them. "Oh, nothing, just to say you'll never own something like that, and to get into your business." Kaylee said. None of the girls noticed the dark-purple cars behind Tracey and the blue motorcycle, or the motorcycle's mirror moving on it's own as Tracey said, "Leave me alone, my business is my business!" "Why should we?" Rickelle asked. " 'Cause I'll pound your faces into your skulls if you don't!" Tracey said, trying to sound dangerous, then two sets of high beams lit the area, making the girls see he cars. "Scrap!" the motorcycle said. The cars drove forward by a foot, making Rickelle and Kaylee run, then Tracey was startled by the motorcycle coming to life on its own. "Hey!" Tracey yelled, holding on for the ride, and the motorcycle started heading for the gap between the cars, making Tracey yell, "Whoa!"

Dark Times Pt. 1 Section 3

Arcee was able to slip between the cars as Tracey was expecting to get flung off and hit the ground, then Arcee took Tracey with her as the cars, who were actually Decepticon drones called Eradicons, started to chase them on the streets. "Do not let go." Arcee said, making Tracey look around and ask, "Who said that?!" The Eradicons drove on either side of Arcee and Tracey, but the Autobot slowed down before the Eradicons could sandwich the two females, then she sped up and turned a corner to find an alley to dump Tracey in. "Commander Starscream, target sighted, accompanied by a human youth," one of the Eradicons said, and Starscream ordered, "Destroy them both!" Arcee stopped in an alley, and Tracey got off of the motorcycle right away. "What are you?" Tracey asked backing away from Arcee. "I don't exist. Tell anyone about me, and I'll hunt you down." Arcee threatened. "Don't worry, no one would believe me anyway!" Tracey said, then ran down another alley toward home. Arcee got in gear to try and get the Eradicons off of her tail, but in her side-view mirror, saw one of them go down the alley Tracey took. "Scrap!" Arcee said, then made a U-turn, avoided the Eradicon chasing her, and drove down the other alley to save Tracey. Tracey was running when she spotted the Eradicon coming, then started to run faster as she shouted, "I don't even know her!" Arcee sped up to Tracey while avoiding Tracey's pursuer, and the girl looked at the motorcycle as the Autobot said, "Hop on!" and Tracey didn't hesitate to get on.

Arcee sped out of the alley with both Eradicons chasing them now, and started for a highway as the Eradicons pulled out guns and started to open fire. Tracey stayed low on Arcee to avoid getting hit, then Arcee drove onto the nearest highway she found and tried to use the traffic to her advantage. "What's going on? Where are you taking me?" Tracey asked. "You're in danger, kid, and I'm trying to get you to safety." Arcee said. Tracey looked in Arcee's side-view mirrors to see that the Eradicons were catching up to them, but a yellow and black muscle car pulled onto the highway and slammed into the Eradicons, making them spin out of control for a small second, then the yellow car started to follow Arcee and Tracey as the girl looked back. "Friend of yours?" Tracey asked. "Family." Arcee said, and Tracey looked forward as the Eradicons caught up to the yellow car and slammed it out of the way. In a street canal underneath the highway bridge, Andrew was sitting against one of the sides when his mother called on his cell phone. "Hey mom... I'm just getting some piece of mind and some homework done... Okay, just five more minutes?... Okay, later mom." Andrew said, and put his phone away. Arcee and Tracey were nearing the bridge when Arcee ramped off of the highway and landed in the street canal, surprising Andrew, then Tracey got off of Arcee when the Autobot came to a stop and went to her knees. "And I thought my driving was crazy!" Tracey said, and Andrew helped her up saying, "Are you okay?" "A-Andrew! The... uh... t-the bike's not mine, a-and I didn't steal it! Honest!" Tracey said, waving her hands in front of her as her cheeks turned bright red. "You don't sound like you're okay, Tracey. Do you need some air?" Andrew asked. Tracey shut her mouth with her cheeks still bright red, then the two teenagers heard tires squeal and looked to see the Eradicons come down to the canal and transform to robot form. Tracey's eyes widened, recognizing them from her dream, then Arcee transformed to robot form, making Tracey and Andrew back away from her, and the Autobot said, "This ends here, 'Cons!" and a fight surfaced as Tracey and Andrew got out of harm's way.

"What are those things?" Andrew asked after they stopped by the wall. "I absolutely have no idea right now." Tracey said, and the two humans kept watching Arcee and the Eradicons fight. "This is for Cliff!" Arcee said as she punched one of the Eradicons several times, but the punching did little effect and the Eradicon started to shoot at the Autobot. Arcee backflipped away from the Decepticon, but was soon hit in the chest and skidded on the ground. Tracey and Andrew looked with both amazement and terror, then the yellow car ramped off of the highway, transformed, and flattened one of the Eradicons while punching the other one. "Wait a second, that one looks familiar." Tracey said, pointing to the yellow robot. "You know, it does. They're transforming robots." Andrew said. "Transformers." Tracey said as the yellow robot finished off the Eradicons for the time being, then checked the teenagers to see if they were okay, buzzing and whirring to them. "Um, we're okay, Bumblebee?" Tracey said, and the yellow Autobot cocked an eyebrow. "That's your name, right?" Andrew asked, and Bumblebee nodded before he was shot away by the Eradicons. Bumblebee tried to get back onto his feet, but the Eradicons pinned him down and aimed to kill him. "Leave him alone!" Tracey shouted, and the Transformers looked at her and Andrew. "Okay, not the best move." Tracey said. "You think?" Andrew said. One of the Eradicons started to walk toward the teens, but Tracey and Andrew ran for a nearby tunnel. "Run!" Tracey said, and they ran down the tunnel, which was too small for the Eradicon to follow them down in. The Eradicon decided to reach in the tunnel and try to grab the two humans, but was pulled away before it could close its fingers around Tracey. Tracey and Andrew looked back in confusion, then saw that Bumblebee saved them as the Autobot looked at them, buzzing and whirring to see if they were okay. "Thanks, Bumblebee." Tracey said, then the yellow Autobot buzzed and whirred a "You're welcome," and continued to fight the Eradicons. "What did we just see?" Andrew asked. "If we're lucky, we might find out tomorrow." Tracey said, and the two ran back to Wessington Springs. Bumblebee was soon punched to the ground, making Arcee come to his aid after getting back on her feet, then the two Autobots were joined by Bulkhead as the green Autobot transformed out of his heavy-duty jeep vehicle form, then stood ready to fight with Bumblebee and Arcee as he said, "Who's ready to rumble?" The Eradicons looked at the group for ten seconds before transforming and fleeing, then Arcee asked, "What took you?" "Traffic." Bulkhead said, and the Autobots transformed and left.

After returning to base, Arcee and Bumblebee reported to Optimus about the situation they encountered. "And the 'Cons would've been scrap metal if I wasn't distracted by the human." Arcee said. "Human?" Optimus asked, and Bumblebee buzzed a correction. "A boy and a girl." Optimus said. "I guess the boy saw us while we were fighting, I don't know. I was a little busy at the time." Arcee said. "If the Decepticons are targeting us, anyone perceived as our ally will be at great risk." Optimus said, looking at them. Bumblebee buzzed and whirred to the Autobot leader, and Optimus said, "Yes, Bumblebee, they must be brought to the base for protection tomorrow after they are done with their day at 'school'." The next day after Andrew got out of school, he spotted Tracey writing in a journal, then came over to her. "Nice picture. Is that Bumblebee?" Andrew asked, noticing a picture of one of the Autobots they saw last night and surprising Tracey. "Yeah. But this should be kept between us." Tracey said. "I know, people would think we're crazy." Andrew said. The teens then heard beeping, and Bumblebee pulled up to them. "Bumblebee? What are you doing here?" Tracey asked, and the Autobot opened a door, buzzing and whirring to them. "You need us to go with you?" Tracey asked, and Bumblebee buzzed a yes. Andrew and Tracey looked at each other, then Andrew got in Bumblebee with his backpack going to the backseat. Tracey hesitated a little, but eventually climbed in Bumblebee next to Andrew, and Bumblebee shut the door and drove off for the base.

Dark Times Pt. 1 Section 4

Andrew and Tracey called their parents to tell them they were going to a friends house and would be late, and after getting their parents okay, the teenagers put their phones away and sat quietly. Bumblebee buzzed and whirred to them, asking how they knew about him. "What did you say?" Andrew asked. Tracey thought for a moment, then got her computer out, activating a translating program and said, "I think this will help. Bumblebee, can you say that again, please?" Bumblebee buzzed and whirred the same message, and the translating program translated, "How did you know my name last night?" "We knew your name because there's a movie that shows robots that can transform between two modes, and you looked like one of the characters." Tracey said, then pulled up a picture of the Bumblebee she was talking about. Bumblebee buzzed and whirred, and the program translated, "Do you know the other robot, too?" "No, but if I remember right, she looked like Chromia," Andrew said, and Tracey pulled up a picture of a blue motorcycle Autobot on her computer that was slightly different than what Arcee looked like. "Haha, our blue female team mate is Arcee, not Chromia." Bumblebee said through the program. "Really?" Tracey asked. "Yep." Bumblebee said. "Why were those dark-purple robots after Arcee and me last night?" Tracey asked. "Those robots are part of the Decepticons, and they're called Eradicons. They were after Arcee, but since they saw you with her last night, they perceived you as an ally and intended to offline you." Bumblebee said. "Offline as in 'dead'?" Andrew asked. "That basically dumbs it down." Bumblebee said. Tracey turned pale, and Andrew noticed. "Are you okay?" Andrew asked. "Nothing, I just don't like the word." Tracey said, looking away. "Oh yeah, because of... you know." Andrew said, and Tracey stayed quiet. "Because of what?" Bumblebee asked. "We'll tell you later if Tracey's alright with you knowing." Andrew said.

Bumblebee soon got to the military recreation site, and entered the area after the gate opened. "Um, Bumblebee, isn't this place restricted?" Tracey asked, recognizing what the area was. "Restricted from humans so our secret can be safe from the outside world. And what is seen, heard, or talked about here, stays here. Okay?" Bumblebee said. "Don't worry, our lips are sealed." Andrew said. Tracey put her computer away in its protective case, then Bumblebee entered the military building and let the teens and their school things out so he could transform to robot form. "This doesn't look like a base suitable for alien robots." Andrew said. Bumblebee buzzed and whirred, and Tracey said, "I'm guessing he's saying, 'Nope, but I'll take you to the real thing soon.' " Bumblebee nodded, and activated an Autobot-sized elevator to take the two humans below ground. Andrew and Tracey held onto Bumblebee's wheel in his foot to stay steady as the elevator descended, then Andrew pulled out his phone to find that the service bars were disappearing. "My bars are disappearing." Andrew said, showing Tracey. "I'm guessing that it's security thing so nothing can get detected." Bumblebee buzzed and whirred, and Andrew could tell the Autobot said "Yep" by recognizing how the pattern matched how a human would say the word.

The elevator got to the actual base, and the group of three walked into the main control room, where Tracey and Andrew became amazed by the computers and the other three Autobots that were in the room. "Whoa! This place is high tech!" Andrew said. "To you, it is, but to us, it's normal," the red and white Autobot said. Tracey saw Arcee coming toward them and said, "Hey, you're the motorcycle from last night." "My name is Arcee, and yes, I'm the talking motorcycle that gave you the crazy ride." Arcee said. "I'm Tracey." Tracey said. "And I'm Andrew. Who are you?" Andrew asked. "Bulkhead," the green Autobot said, and the red and white Autobot said, "Ratchet. But I still say that protecting humans will only cause more tragedy." "We'll stay out of your way." Tracey said. "So, if you guys are actual Transformers, who made you?" Andrew asked. "Pff. Puh-leez!" Ratchet said out of disgust, and Tracey looked at Andrew. "What? I just wanted to know." Andrew said.

The group then heard foot steps coming from a corridor, and the two humans saw Optimus Prime come into the room. "Optimus Prime!" Tracey thought. "We are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron. Also known as Autobots." Optimus said. "I think we know, but we just thought it was fiction." Tracey said. Bumblebee buzzed and whirred to Optimus to back up Tracey's quote, and Optimus said, "I understand, Bumblebee," then looked down at Tracey and Andrew and asked, "Do you know anything more?" "The way we know, the Autobots and Decepticons fought for control of the AllSpark, and then they fought for control of the Matrix of Leadership. But that's just in a movie-line that's popular to humans." Tracey said. "That is, indeed, different from what we are really doing." Optimus said, kneeling down so the teenagers could talk to him better. "Then why are you and the Decepticons here?" Andrew asked. "A fair question, Andrew. We are here because our planet is uninhabitable, ravaged by centuries of civil war." Optimus said. Tracey's face went blank to the word "war" as Andrew asked, "Why were you fighting this war?" "Foremost, over our world's supply of Energon, the fuel and life-blood of both Autobots and Decepticons alike. The combat was fierce and endured for centuries. In the beginning, I fought along side one whom I considered a brother, but in war, ideals can be corrupted, and it was thus that Megatron lost his way." Optimus explained. "That definitely sounds similar to the fictional stories we've been watching." Andrew said. "So we're tied into this because we discovered your secret and the Decepticons saw us?" Tracey asked. "That would be correct, Tracey. But Megatron has not been seen nor heard from in sometime, and if his return is imminent, as I fear, it could be catastrophic." Optimus said.

On the Decepticon ship, Soundwave received some transmissions and reported them to Starscream. "Those transmissions are coming from deep space. I would hate to waste the Energon, unless, you are absolutely certain," Starscream said, and Soundwave nodded, then the former said, "Then lock onto transmission coordinates, and activate the spacebridge." In space high in Earth's orbit, a spacebridge under the Decepticon's control opened a huge vortex, and out of the vortex emerged a small alien jet. After the jet was a good distance away from the spacebridge, it transformed into Megatron, the Decepticon leader, as he declared, "DECEPTICONS! I have returned."

In Northern California, Starscream was showing Megatron his most successful Energon mine as the former said, "Of the Energon deposits we have located while you were away, Lord Megatron, this one, by far, is most significant. The Eradicons have been mining without pause during your absence, and have dug up quite a stockpile." "Excellent, Starscream, but now that I have returned, I will issue the commands." Megatron said. "I understand, Lord Megatron. Then as your humble servant, shall I ready the spacebridge to bring forth the Decepticon army you have surely gathered during your three years in space?" Starscream asked. "My army will come," Megatron said, then looked at Starscream out of the corner of his optics and said, "But my time away has yielded a more, intriguing means of materializing them. The solidified form of the matter the ancient texts refer to as the Blood of Unicron," and showed Starscream a shard of purple Energon with purple smoke emanating from the shard itself. "Unicron the Destroyer! But it is said that his blood is the anti-spark." Starscream said. "Plucked from cosmic shores. Gaze upon Dark Energon!" Megatron said. "Legend tells that it holds the power to revive the dead." Starscream said. "We require only cadaver to be certain. Are you willing to make the ultimate sacrifice?" Megatron asked. "I'm sorry, Lord Megatron, but that won't be necessary. If I may, my master," Starscream said, and two Eradicons brought the body of Cliffjumper to them. "Consider it a 'Welcome Home' present." Starscream said, and Megatron nodded as he evilly grinned.

At the Autobot base, Optimus told Tracey and Andrew the information that they needed to know. "And since you now know of our existence, I fear that as of last night, the Decepticons know of yours." Optimus said. "Got it. If we spot any strange vehicles, call 911. Can we leave now?" Tracey asked. "Are you crazy? We're meeting actual Transformers and you want to bail out already?" Andrew asked. "It is best that you two remain under our watch. At least until we can determine our enemy's intentions." Optimus said. "Optimus, with all due respect, the human children are in as much danger in here as anywhere." Ratchet said. "Children?" Andrew asked under his breath. "They have no protective shell. If they get underfoot, they'll go...squish." Ratchet said, and lightly tapped his foot on the ground, making Andrew and Tracey jump a little. "Then for the time being, Ratchet, we must watch where we step." Optimus said.

Just then, an alarm went off, startling Tracey and Andrew even more. "What's that?" Andrew asked. Bumblebee buzzed and whirred, and Tracey had her computer translate, "It's a proximity sensor. Someone is above ground." Ratchet quieted the alarm and pulled up a visual saying, "It's Agent Fowler." "Wait, I thought we were the only ones who knew." Tracey said. "Special Agent Fowler is our designated liaison to the outside world, as he only visits when there are issues. It may be best that you do not meet him at this time." Optimus explained, and the two teenagers hid before Fowler got to the base via a human elevator. Once Fowler got into the room, he immediately started saying, "Seven wrecks, thirty-four fender-benders, a four hour traffic jam we had to strike from news reports, and a particular note, numerous reports of a speeding motorcycle of unknown make, and a black and yellow custom muscle car." "I hope he didn't hear about a blonde haired kid riding the motorcycle." Tracey thought to herself as she and Andrew stayed hidden from the agent's view. "So, anything you care to get off your tin chest, Prime?" Fowler asked. "We have the situation under control, Agent Fowler." Optimus reassured. "They're back aren't they?" Fowler asked. "If you are referring to the Decepticons, I have doubts that they ever left, your planet is much to valuable." Optimus said. "Then it's time to wake up the Pentagon." Fowler said. "Hear me, Agent Fowler; we are your best, possibly your only defense against the Decepticon threat." Optimus said. "Says you," Fowler said. "Hey fleshy," Bulkhead said, getting the agent's attention, "did anyone get splattered on that highway? Team Prime knows when to use force, and how much to use," then grabbed a mechanical arm and squeezed it until the tool broke. "Bulkhead, I NEEDED THAT!" Ratchet complained. "Enough," Optimus said to both Autobots, then looked at Fowler and said, "Military involvement will only result in catastrophe. You may be able to condone wide-spread causalities, Agent Fowler, I however, cannot." "Then do us both a favor and handle this, Prime, under the radar," Fowler said, then entered the elevator and said, "Or I will," and the elevator doors closed for the elevator to take Fowler above ground so he could leave. "Pretty big bearings, for a human." Bulkhead said as Tracey and Andrew came out of hiding. "Agent Fowler is concerned for his world, Bulkhead, as he should be." Optimus said.

At the Energon mine, Cliffjumper's body was prepared for a field test of the Dark Energon's abilities as Megatron said, "Let us see if power born of darkness can reignite the spark," then impaled the shard into the chest of the corpse. Starscream stepped back by a few steps as the corpse started to shake a bit, then the Dark Energon shard liquified and started to flow throughout the corpse, reaching the processor in ten seconds. The corpse was brought back to life with a deep growl, then it started to scream and broke through a restraint that held one of the hands down, making Starscream jump. The Eradicons readied their guns as the zombie broke out of the rest of the restraints, and it attacked one of the Eradicons. The Eradicon screamed and tried to shoot at the zombie, but it's weapon was ripped off and it's head crushed in one powerful grasp. Megatron became amused to this as the other Eradicon shot at the zombie, only for the zombie to attack that Eradicon and kill it in a shadowed area. "That's your plan?! Bring Autobots back from the dead to attack us?!" Starscream asked, now becoming scared at the thought. "That is no longer an Autobot. Just a mindless beast, it's only instinct to destroy anything in its path." Megatron replied calmly as the zombie emerged from the shadows, then the zombie screamed again and charged at Megatron. Starscream jumped out of the way as Megatron just pulled out his blade and sliced the zombie into two pieces, which fell over the edge that they were near. "There, Starscream, lies the indestructable seed of my army, the ultimate weapon." Megatron said, walking over to the edge after noticing the top piece was still hanging onto the rock wall, then kicked it off. The piece hit a pole in it's fall, and landed on a mine platform motionless as Megatron said, "Once I learn to control it."

At Autobot base, the computers detected Cliffjumper and brought his life signal on screen. "Blasted Earth tech! Cliffjumper's signal popped back online." Ratchet said. Tracey looked at the computers, and recognized Cliffjumper's face from her dreams as Andrew asked, "Who's Cliffjumper?" "He's an Autobot, of course, but..." Tracey said, then stayed quiet about her statement. "How is that possible?" Optimus asked. "It isn't. Another bug! The system's chock full of them." Ratchet said. "If there's any chance Cliff's alive?" Arcee asked. "Ratchet, prepare sick bay, we may need it." Optimus said, getting his mouth guard on. "What do you think we'll do?" Andrew asked. "Stay with Ratchet." Tracey said. "Ratchet, you'll watch over the children." Optimus said, and Ratchet groaned as Tracey and Andrew held back some laughs. A tunnel in the base started to roar to life with green and white flashes, and Optimus, Arcee, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead rolled out after a command call and disappeared at the end of the tunnel. "What just happened?" Andrew asked. "I transported them to the designated coordinates via the Ground Bridge." Ratchet said. "I've heard of teleportation by telekinesis, but what's a Ground Bridge?" Tracey asked. "A scale-down version of Space Bridge technology. Since we don't currently possess the means or the Energon required for intergalactic travel..." Ratchet said. "You're stuck here. On Earth." Tracey said. "With the likes of you, yes. But I constructed the Ground Bridge to enable travel from here to anywhere on your planet." Ratchet explained to them. "Cool! Does it work for humans?" Andrew asked. "Naturally." Ratchet said. "You mean we could just go all over and visit family in Nebraska?" Tracey asked. "Within moments. In fact, allow me to send you there immediately, the both of you." Ratchet said, but Tracey folded her arms across her chest and said, "Watch it, Ratchet."

At the Energon mine, the Autobot team arrived with weapons ready, but found their area vacant of Decepticons and put the weapons away. "Energon mine." Bulkhead said. "Judging by it's scale, the Decepticons have been tunneling here for quite sometime." Optimus said, then the group heard drilling and found more than a dozen Eradicons mining Energon. "Let's find Cliffjumper," Optimus said, and the team walked into view of the Eradicons. The Eradicons pulled out their guns and started firing at the Autobots, and the Autobots returned the fire, both groups careful about the danger of igniting the Energon by accident.

Back at base, Tracey had started to do some homework on the computer as Andrew looked around the base. "What is this?" Andrew asked, spotting an interesting item. "Broken, don't touch," Ratchet said, then as Andrew hovered a hand over another object, Ratchet said, "Don't touch that either." "I'm guessing we can't lay a hand on anything in here except our own stuff." Tracey said, finishing an essay for her English class. Ratchet nodded at her, then the base computers got an error detection warning, sparking an interest in Tracey. "How come you're using human computers?" Tracey asked. "It certainly isn't by choice. It was handed down from the previous tenants when we inherited this former military recreation area. I make modifications as I see fit." Ratchet said, but more warning popped up, making the Autobot moan. "I think I can fix those," Tracey said, and hooked her laptop to the base computers. "Really? You do know this is complex technology, don't you? I mean, this isn't a child's toy." Ratchet said. Tracey typed away, then said, "Now try," and the warning pop-ups disappeared like nothing went wrong in the first place, surprising Ratchet a little. "How'd you-?" Ratchet asked, looking at her. "My dad was a technician and automobile mechanic before he served the army. Knew his way around errors and pop-ups." Tracey said with a grin, then disconnected her computer and continued to do her homework.

With Optimus and his team, they finished off the last of the Eradicons that were mining in the tunnel, then the team proceeded forward to find Cliffjumper as more Eradicons were coming their way. "Maximum Overdrive!" Optimus ordered, and he and the other Autobots transformed to vehicle mode and started to take out the Eradicons using different maneuvers. The Eradicons were thrown around and run over before they were finished off, and the Autobots headed down the tunnel until they reached the main mine, transforming to robot form and taking cover behind some metal crates. The Autobot team looked from behind the crates to see the Eradicons in the mine taking huge loads of Energon to the Decepticon ship, and Bulkhead said, "Quite an operation," then the team was spotted and fired upon, causing another careful gun fight to surface.

On the ship, Megatron was with his stash of Dark Energon saying, "Blood of Unicron, how might I fathom the depths of your mystery, become worthy of wielding your astonishing power?" then a computer blinked on with Starscream as the Decepticon said, "Lord Megatron, intruders have been detected in the mines." "Optimus?" Megatron asked. "Indeed." Starscream said. "I need more time to prepare a proper reception for my old friend. Ready the ship for departure." Megatron said. "But the Energon I've mined. The Autobots will seize it!" Starscream whined, only to get snapped at by Megatron with the leader saying, "Then blow the mines!"

The Autobots kept firing at the Eradicons and dodging enemy fire as Arcee spotted a red arm hanging over the edge of a platform. "It's Cliff. I have a visual." Arcee said. "We'll cover you. Go!" Optimus said, and Arcee sprung into action, dodging Eradicons and using her surroundings to her advantage to get to her comrade. When Arcee got to the platform, she found that it was only part of Cliffjumper sitting in a purple substance, then was fired at by Eradicons, causing the platform part that the body part was on to start sinking. "Cliff!" Arcee said, then got Cliffjumper's hand before the platform piece fell to the ground. Optimus, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee took care of the Eradicons that were firing on Arcee, and Arcee said to her comrade, "Let's get you home, partner," only for the thing that was Cliffjumper to look at Arcee and scream at her. Arcee was startled by what had really happened, then lost her grip on the thing's hand and watched as it fell to the ground below. Optimus, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee watched as the body piece fell to the ground, and Optimus looked at Arcee as the blue Autobot hung her head in disappointment. The Autobots then heard evil laughing and found Starcream in the mines. "Prime!" Starscream said as the Autobots regrouped, then said, "I'd stick around, but I'm squeamish," then activated and dropped a bomb into the mine and fled in jet form. The bomb landed between two shards of Energon as Bulkhead said, "The joint's going to blow!" and Optimus said, "Autobots, roll out!" and the Autobots transformed and zoomed back to their point of entry as the bomb went off, causing an explosion with a chain reaction. "Ratchet, bridge us back! Use the arrival coordinates now!" Optimus said, and the Ground Bridge opened, retrieving the Autobot group.

Once everyone was back at the base, Ratchet deactivated the Ground Bridge before the explosion could hit the base, and Tracy and Andrew were astonished. "Cutting it a bit close. How about Cliffjumper?" Ratchet asked, but the Autobots bowed their heads. Tracey knew that it wasn't a success and stayed quiet, mentioning for Andrew to do the same. "Arcee, what did you see?" Optimus asked, and Arcee folded her arms as she said, "Not Cliff, at least, not anymore. He was mutated, butchered, like one of those 'Con experiments during the war!" then slowly fell to the ground, catching something to steady herself. Bumblebee buzzed and whirred, but Arcee said, "I'm fine, just dizzy." Tracey cocked an eyebrow, then noticed something on Arcee's wrist and asked, "What's that purple stuff on your wrist?" Arcee sat on the metal crate she was near and found the same purple substance that was on Cliffjumper on her wrist. "Don't know, but Cliff was covered in it. Leaking it." Arcee said. Ratchet got a sample of the substance, and said, "Go take a de-contamiation bath. Now."

Bumblebee helped Arcee incase if the blue Autobot would get dizzy again, and Tracey noticed the time by checking her cell phone. "Aw man, is it really that late?" Tracey asked. "Is there anything wrong?" Optimus asked. "It's past ten p.m., we have to get home." Tracey said. "Have you broken a law?" Optimus asked. "Curfew." Tracey said. "Mine's not until 10:30p.m., but maybe going home early might change that." Andrew said. "Earth customs I hadn't considered, but the issue of your safety remains." Optimus said. Tracey and Andrew looked at each other, then back at Optimus as he told Bumblebee, "Bumblebee, accompany Andrew home, and maintain covert surveillance in vehicle form." Bumblebee nodded, and got Andrew after the boy packed up his things. "Arcee, you'll accompany Tracey," Optimus said, and Tracey got a less-than-enthusiastic look after gathering her things, which wasn't very much. "Oh, still dizzy," Arcee said after getting out of the repair center, but Ratchet said, "You're fine, says your physician," and Arcee sighed and got Tracey.

After arriving home, Tracey got off of Arcee and said, "Acree, I just wanted to say. I'm so sorry for your loss." "What could you possibly know about loss?" Arcee asked with a bit of anger in her tone of voice. "You're not the only one who lost someone close." Tracey said, and looked at a picture of her and her father together in a picture. Arcee noticed and looked at the picture as well asking, "Is that your dad?" "Yeah. He died of a fatal war wound two months after he started to serve the army. It still hurts knowing he's gone." Tracey said, then saw two people coming toward her house. "Well, if it isn't Little Miss Jean Jacket." Rickelle said. "Bother someone else, Rickelle. I'm getting tired of you and Kaylee teasing me." Tracey said. "Aw, don't get tired, you'll die that way." Kaylee said, and the two bullies laughed at Tracey as the girl's hands tightened into fists. "I said go bother someone else!" Tracey said. Arcee use her side-view mirrors to see what was going on. "Or what? You'll put your stupid jean jacket on and ignore us?" Rickelle asked, and Tracey snapped and punched Rickelle, getting her eye. "Ow!!! Ugh!!!" Rickelle cried. "Why you!" Kaylee said, but Tracey's mother came home in time to catch the fight and say, "Hey! What's going on?" "These two were bullying me!" Tracey said. "No we weren't!" Rickelle said. "Yes you were!" Tracey said. "Tracey, calm down. I heard the comments as I was walking home," Tracey's mother said, then looked at Rickelle and Kaylee and said, "You two had better leave before I call the cops." Rickelle and Kaylee looked at Tracey and her mother with disgust, then they left. "Come inside now," Tracey's mother said, then noticed Arcee and said, "We'll talk about your new motorcycle later," and both mother and daughter walked inside their home. In the morning Arcee revved her engine, and Tracey came into the garage with a messy ponytail. "What are doing? You're going to wake up my mom." Tracey asked. "Grab a helmet, it's go time." Arcee said. "But it's 7:00 a.m. on Saturday!" Tracey said. "You can watch cartoons back at base with Bumblebee." Arcee said. "Okay, just let me get ready first." Tracey said, and left for her room as Arcee said, "And leave a note for your mom!"

On the Decepticon ship, Starscream and Megatron were in the room with the Dark Energon as Starscream said, "You won't need to worry about further Autobot interference, my lord, not with Optimus gone." "And what evidence do you have of this fact?" Megatron asked, knowing Optimus would've gotten out of the mines alive anyway. "I destroyed the mines, as you instructed." Starscream said. "Optimus is not so easily destroyed, we have millennia worth of battles behind us to prove it." Megatron said, then looked at the Dark Energon. "Maybe you should take a break, my lord. I fear that too much contact with the Dark Energon might allow its properties to adversely effect you." Starscream said. "Or perhaps, Starscream, I have not permitted myself contact enough!" Megatron said, and grabbed a shard of the evil substance. "Wait! Lord Megatron! No! Not your spark chamber! You do not know what it will do!" Starscream warned, but Megatron impaled himself with the Dark Energon shard anyway. After doing so, the Decepticon leader started to tremble as purple smoke started to sizzle from his spark chamber, and he started to glow the Dark Energon's eerie purple as his eyes changed to purple. Starscream just watched his master change, and the Dark Energon finished corrupting Megatron from the inside.

At the Autobot base, Ratchet was examining the same substance saying, "The base elements of this goo is like nothing I've ever encountered. Must be extremely concentrated to have effected Arcee so rapidly. Unfortunately, results are slow coming without the use of proper tools, thank you very much, Bulkhead!" Ratchet moved the sample to the microscope for further analysis, but didn't notice a drop of it fall off and land on the broken equipment from yesterday, and the substance brought the equipment to life, making the newly transformed machinery hostile as it looked for something to rip apart.

On their way to the base, Tracey thought about the risks she was taking being an Autobot ally when Arcee said, "Tighten your grip, Tracey," and the Autobot started to speed up and pop a wheelie. "Whoa!" Tracey said, then chuckled and asked, "Hey! Why the wheelie, Arcee?" "I thought you might actually enjoy the ride if you weren't getting shot at." Arcee said. "Oh bring it!" Tracey said, and Arcee brought it. With Andrew and Bumblebee, Andrew was playing a video game on a handheld when Bumblebee hacked into it and beat him. "Hey, what the-?" Andrew said, then laughed and said, "Bumblebee!" Bumblebee buzzed and whirred like he was laughing, and restarted the race Andrew was doing.

At the base, Bulkhead was out on patrol as Ratchet kept examining the purple goo. "Thank goodness for peace and quiet. House guests can be such a bother." Ratchet said as he looked into a microscope, then heard something metal clang on the ground and looked around, but found nothing out of the ordinary and got back to his business. Ratchet then heard some tapping, and looked around again asking, "Optimus?" and spotted the living technology scurrying toward him. "What the-?" Ratchet asked, then the technology leapt and tried to attack the Autobot, only for it to get swat away. Ratchet grabbed a small pole as the technology tried to attack again, but it was batted away, then Ratchet tried to crush it with the pole, but the technology ran out of the way and sliced his microscope into two pieces. "I NEEDED THAT!!!" Ratchet said to the crazy technology, then the technology swat the pole out of Ratchet's hand and leapt to attack. Just before the technology could land the attack, it was shot away by Optimus, who had come to see what all the commotion was about, and the Autobot leader crushed the technology to prevent it from attacking again. "And stay broken! Now what could've caused that?" Ratchet asked. "I have a grave suspicion Ratchet. Dark Energon." Optimus said.

On the Decepticon ship, Megatron sighed with satisfaction to the Dark Energon's power before Starscream said nervously, "Lord Megatron." "It's as if the Blood of Unicron, the Destroyer, flows through my veins! As if, I hear his very thoughts!" Megatron said, then grabbed another shard of Dark Energon and said, "I now know what I must do." "And what can I do to assist you, Master?" Starscream asked. "Quit groveling, and await my command," Megatron said, and left the ship. Starscream watched from the bridge, and Soundwave came up behind him, making the Decepticon notice. "Soundwave, I fear that when our master reached for the stars, he came down with a touch of space madness. Lord Megatron has not been of sounded judgement since his return. Increase global surveillance." Starscream said. "Quit groveling, and await my command," Soundwave played to Starscream, and the latter snapped at him, "I'm not deaf!" then thought for a moment before saying, "But if Optimus Prime lives, I believe it's in Lord Megatron's best interest that we insure his enemy's destruction."

At the Autobot base, Optimus and Ratchet froze the technology in case it would come back to life, and Optimus said as the frozen technology was sealed away, "If the residue Arcee found brought your broken equipment to life, it would stand to reason that the very same substance brought Cliffjumper back from the dead." "Hm. That would explain why Cliffjumper's life-signal came back online, but Dark Energon? It's so scarse as to be virtually non-existant. What would it be doing on Earth?" Ratchet asked. "It was transported by Megatron." Optimus said. "For what purpose?" Ratchet asked. "To conquer this planet by raising an army of the undead." Optimus said. Ratchet shook his head and said, "Well, Megatron will need to break quite a few toaster ovens. I mean, where on this world would he find that many Cybertronian dead?"

Just after, Arcee, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and the two teenagers entered the base, and Tracey placed her computer on a table with the translation program on. "Hey, what's going on?" Andrew asked. "Nothing important to humans," Tracey said, pointing to a black spot on the ground where the technology was crushed. "Autobots, remain here. Ratchet, you'll come with me; Arcee, we'll be outside communications range for some time, so I'm putting you in charge." Optimus said. "Something tells me Optimus and Ratchet found something disturbing." Tracey thought. "Optimus, with all due respect, playing bodyguard is one thing, babysitting's another. Besides, Ratchet hasn't been in the field since the war." Arcee said. "My pistons may be rusty, but my hearing's sharp as ever." Ratchet said in his defense. "For the moment, it's only reconnaissance." Optimus said. "And why do I hear an edge in your voice?" Arcee asked. "Arcee, much has changed in the last twenty-four hours, and we all need to adapt. Ratchet, bridge us out." Optimus said, then Ratchet powered the Ground Bridge and the two Autobots left through it. "Okay, I'll be doing some homework." Tracey said. "Oh come on, Tracey, you need some down time." Andrew said. "Well don't have me involved with it. I'm going on patrol." Arcee said. "But Optimus told us to stay." Bulkhead said. "When you're in charge, you can call the shots. Bee, with me." Arcee said. Bumblebee buzzed and whirred as he followed Arcee, and the computer translated, "Alright, Arcee." "Bulkhead, you're in charge." Arcee said, and she and Bumblebee left the base in vehicle form. "So, uh, do you have anything in mind?" Bulkhead asked. Tracey shook her head no, and Andrew said, "We could play a game called 'Encore'." "What's Encore?" Bulkhead said. "Oh, I've heard of that game, it's where someone says a key word and the players have to sing a verse of a song containing the word." Tracey said. "Heh, sounds fun." Bulkhead said.

Just then, the proximity sensors went off, and Bulkhead said, "Uh oh, Fowler's here. Quick, hide!" Tracey and Andrew hid behind his foot as Fowler had gotten to the base, and he shouted, "Prime!" "Agent Fowler, uh, he's not here. Nobody's here. Except me of course." Bulkhead said. "Well, where did he go? Wait, don't tell me, he's out pancaking a small park." Fowler said. Tracey shook her head to Fowler's assumption, then realized that her computer was still on the table where Fowler could see it plain as day and whispered, "My computer's still on the table. If it makes a sound, we're dead!" "Now I don't know what language you speak on your planet, but blowing a creator in Northern California is not what the word 'handle' means in English! So you tell Prime-" Fowler said, but then Tracey's computer started beeping and Fowler saw it. "Since when do you bots use laptops?" Fowler asked, suspicious, and Bulkhead looked down as Tracey and Andrew had no choice but to show themselves. "Hi. How are you today?" Tracey said, then had a nervous chuckle. "Contact with civilians! Team Prime has really gone off book this time! Don't tell me you're running a daycare center!" Fowler said. "We're, uh, interns." Andrew said. "S-Student interns." Tracey said. "Earning extra credit in advanced technology." Andrew said. "And earning a military scholarship?" Tracey said. Fowler shook his head, not believing them, then started to walk down the stairs and toward the teens saying, "All right, let's move. I'm taking the both of you to federal custody for your own protection." Bulkhead stomped his foot down between Fowler and the teenagers and said, "We're protecting them!" "Is that so? Then maybe you can explain that to my superiors at the Pentagon." Fowler said, but before the agent could get to the phone, Tracey ran up to it and blocked him from it. "The phone's broken! No calls can go through it!" Tracey said, but was pushed aside by Fowler, and much to Fowler's surprise, the phone wasn't working. "Well either way, this isn't over. Not by a long shot." Fowler said, sending chills down Tracey's spine, and the agent left the base. "How'd you?" Andrew asked, and Tracey showed him a pair of electrical scissors saying, "I cut the line."

In a mountainous area, Optimus and Ratchet were hiking through the mountains in search of something that happened in Cybertronian history. "Optimus, what are we to hope to find here?" Ratchet asked. "The sight of an old Cybertronian battlefield." Optimus said. "On Earth? You must be joking!" Ratchet said. "Do you recall the time when both sides started to hide their Energon spoils off-world?" Optimus asked. "Of course, it's the main reason why Energon deposits exist on planets such as this one." Ratchet said. "And that is why battles became to be waged on planets such as this one, and I fear Megatron's memory is as long as history." Optimus said, and the two Autobots kept hiking.

At the base, Fowler boarded a helicopter and piloted himself back toward the Pentagon, and he decided to contact his superiors about the problem of Tracey and Andrew knowing about the Transformers. "Sir, Agent William Fowler, we have a situation. I'm en-route from the Autobot base. I'll brief you in person." Fowler said, and flew on. Unaware to him, Soundwave had intercepted the transmission and played it to Starscream, who in turn took interest in it. "Autobot base, eh? Humans, always the weak link." Starscream said, then looked at Soundwave and said, "Fetch me this Fowler so he may brief us instead." Soundwave deployed a scout, and sent it after Fowler. Fowler's helicopter scanners picked up a bogie heading toward his position and the agent said, "Hey, big bird, I'm flying here," only for him to find out that it was Soundwave's scout instead. "What in the world?" Fowler said, and the scout tried to fly into the helicopter head-on, but Fowler managed to maneuver the helicopter out of the way. "First the roads aren't safe, now air travel?" Fowler asked, and a chase surfaced. Fowler flew above the clouds so no one could see the chase, and the scout followed as Fowler got an idea. The helicopter flew through a huge cloud, and the scout flew through the gap, only to find that the helicopter disappeared, then Fowler reappeared behind the scout. "You want to dance, 'Con? I'll lead!" Fowler said, and he started to shoot at the scout. The scout flew around to avoid most of the shots, but got an advantage when Fowler ran out of ammunition. The scout flew up and around the helicopter, then came down, slicing the tail off. "Where's an Autobot around when you need one?" Fowler asked, trying to regain control of the spiraling helicopter. The scout got to the helicopter and grabbed Fowler with mechanical tentacles, but before it took the agent away, Fowler had sent an SOS to the Autobot base, and the helicopter crashed in a hilly area.

At the base, the computers alarms went off like crazy, and Tracey covered her ears and said, "My ears!" "It's an SOS, from Fowler!" Bulkhead said, then managed to quiet down the alarms and try to trace the source. "Did you trace it?" Andrew asked after a minute. "The location scan was incomplete. Oh well." Bulkhead said. "Oh well? Seriously?" Tracey asked. "Fowler's a jerk." Bulkhead said. "But whether you like him or not, the Decepticons could have kidnapped him." Tracey said. "He knows the location of the base, and the Decepticons will make him spill the beans about it!" Andrew said. "But we lost the transmission. Fowler could be anywhere!" Bulkhead said. Tracey thought for a moment, then grabbed her computer and started to type away. "Tracey, this is no time for home-" Andrew said, but was cut off when Tracey said, "Found him!" and showed Andrew and Bulkhead the coordinates to Fowler's location. "What?" Andrew asked. "Five years ago, the government started to microchip agents so they can trace their location easily. Fowler's somewhere in the Black Hills." Tracey said. "You know how to hack? And you're what, fifteen?" Andrew asked. "Sixteen." Tracey said.

On the Decepticon ship, Fowler was transported to the prison block and forced to the ground by an Eradicon, and the agent was greeted by Starscream. "Welcome, Agent Fowler." Starscream said. "You treat all of your guests this nice?" Fowler asked, brushing some dust off of his suit. "Any friend of the Autobots." Starscream said. "Autobot? Is that one of those auto-sales lots?" Fowler asked. Starscream frowned, then said, "So that's how it's going to be, hm? Apparently, no one has told you I don't appreciate human humor. Make our guest comfortable." The Eradicon nodded and grabbed Fowler.

Tracey was still pin-pointing Fowler's location, and had finally done so as she said, "Fowler's location is somewhere in the northern part of the Black Hills." Bulkhead locked onto the coordinates and activated the Ground Bridge, then said to the teenagers, "Okay, wait here." "Come on, at least take one of us along to help!" Andrew said. "Um, Tracey, you're in charge," Bulkhead said, and he ran through the Ground Bridge. "Okay, I guess we have the run of the place," Tracey said, but found that Andrew was gone. "Andrew? Andrew?" Tracey called, but was met with no answer.

Bulkhead arrived in the Black Hills and started to look around. "Fowler?" Bulkhead called, but found something else and said, "Uh oh. The whole Decepticon shebang." Bulkhead took cover behind a small, heavily wooded area as an Eradicon walked by, then heard someone say, "All right, what's the plan?" and found Andrew behind some bushes. "Andrew!" Bulkhead whispered, but the Eradicon found the human boy and aimed it's gun at him. "Oh, I'm dead!" Andrew said. The Eradicon powered it's gun to shoot, but Andrew ran out of the way before the gun fired, then Bulkhead tackled the Eradicon and a fight surfaced. Andrew hid behind some trees and watched the fight. "Andrew, look away!" Bulkhead said. "But Bulkhead," Andrew said, and Bulkhead repeated, "Turn your head away!" and the Autobot disemboweled the Decepticon drone, which was just wires, parts, and sparks for Andrew to see. "Wow." Andrew said, and Bulkhead dropped the lifeless shell of a Decepticon. "Arcee, Bumblebee, do you read?" Bulkhead said, contacting the patrolling Autobots as the just exited Wessington Springs. "Loud and clear, Bulkhead." Arcee said. "I have a situation..." Bulkhead said. "Bulkhead, they're children, humans. Just do what ever." Arcee said, but when Bulkhead told her the situation he was talking about, she and Bumblebee hit the breaks hard and came to a stop as the blue Autobot asked, "You are where? HE'S where?"

At base, Tracey was pondering what to do next. "What should I do? Bulkhead probably won't realize Andrew followed him. I know we both saw the Decepticons in action, but they could be stronger then they were the last time Andrew and I saw them." Tracey told herself, then looked at the computer and saw the coordinates still locked in. "The destination's still locked in..." Tracey thought, then sighed and said, "I just know we'll get chewed out for this," and activated the Ground Bridge. As the Ground Bridge warmed up, Tracey climbed down a ladder to the ground and ran into the tunnel-like device, then started walking to the end of it, but stopped when the vortex opened. Tracey looked at the vortex for a moment, then took a deep breath and walked through. Just after Tracey disappeared, Arcee called the base, unaware that Tracey had even left. "Arcee to base, come in... Tracey? Listen up, I need you to bridge us back... Hello?" Arcee said, but got no answer, then sighed and said to Bumblebee, "Bumblebee, metal to the pedal," and the two Autobots headed back toward the base.

On the Decepticon ship, Fowler was tied in chains high above the ground, and Starscream walked in a circle before stopping and saying, "Agent Fowler, I have one simple request that will save your family the pain of grieving: Tell me the location of the Autobot base." "Sure thing, buddy, but I have one question." Fowler said. "Yes? I'm listening." Starscream said. "I have an issue with the customer service around here, can I speak to the manager?" Fowler said, starting to refuse to give Starscream what he wanted. Starscream just looked at Fowler, then growled and said angrily, "I make the decisions here! I AM IN CHARGE!" then looked at an Eradicon and said, "Bring the prod."

Outside, Bulkhead and Andrew were both hiding behind trees waiting for Arcee and Bumblebee to show up. "What's taking them?" Bulkhead asked. "Bulkhead, the Decepticons could be putting the clamps on Fowler right now. Let's just storm the ship and get the dude out of there already!" Andrew said. "Storming a Decepticon ship like that is suicide, Andrew, and it's too dangerous for humans." Bulkhead said. The Ground Bridge opened, and Bulkhead and Andrew looked as the Autobot said, "Oh good, they're here," only to be surprised to see Tracey running out of the vortex. "What? What is she doing here?" Bulkhead asked. "I think she found out that I followed you here and decided not to miss out on this?" Andrew said, and Bulkhead sighed and shook his head. "Whoa... I feel like I fell asleep in a vibrating chair for hours!" Tracey said, then saw that she was in the sights of the Decepticon ship. Three Eradicons on the top of the ship spotted the girl and pointed their guns at the child as one shouted, "You there!" "Scrap!" Bulkhead and Andrew said. "Oh, so unwise!" Tracey said.

In the ship, Starscream received the prod from an Eradicon that was in the block with him and Fowler, and the second-in-command said, "I'll ask nicely one last time. The Autobot base?" "Right after you eat my star-spangled shorts!" Fowler said. Getting fed up, Starscream powered the prod, and shocked Fowler, making the agent yell out in pain. "As I imagined; Energon and human nervous systems don't mix." "Commander Starscream, a local has been spotted near our ship," an Eradicon said, getting the word from outside. "Then don't just stand around like idiots and destroy it!" Starscream said. "Yes, Commander Starscream," the Eradicon said, and told the other Eradicons to do so.

The Eradicons outside started shooting at Tracey, but she took cover behind some bushes. "Yikes!" Tracey cried, then when a blast flew over her hiding spot, the girl ran for different cover. "Dad, what would you do?" Tracey thought to herself, and after she took cover behind some huge trees, Tracey became lost in thought. "Dad, what did you do for training?" Tracey asked her father as she and he talked to each other on the phone. "Well, I was trained on evasion and knowing what makes a good hiding area this time," her father said. "Evasion and hiding?" Tracey asked. "Yes, not all soldiers are seen out in the open," her father said. "I know, dad. I've seen our cousin, Darren, hide and evade in a war game." Tracey said. "But was he shot at for real?" her father asked, and the two laughed. "Soldier, your time's up," a sergeant said in the background, and Tracey said to her father, "Please don't go now! I still want to talk to you!" "I do too, Tracey, but I need to get back to work, okay? her father said. "Okay, dad." Tracey said. "I love you, and I'll be home after three more months," her father said. "I love you too, dad." Tracey said, and then her father's end hung up before she did. For the next week, Tracey had started to practice evading and hiding in her yard, and it started to improve and work for her. Tracey snapped out of the thought, then peeked by a small bit before a blast whizzed by her head and she got back behind the tree. "Please let all that running and hiding I did back then helps me here," Tracey said after spotting Bulkhead and Andrew about a hundred yards away, and started to run for the two while taking any available cover she could find.

With Optimus and Ratchet, they found the battlefield they were searching for, and Ratchet said, "For the first time in my life, Optimus, I had hoped you were wrong." The two Autobots then heard a jet making it's way to the area, and looked to find that it was Megatron in jet mode before the Decepticon leader transformed and landed on top of a cliff. "Optimus! Been well? I see you brought your trusty watch-dog. I was certain he'd be convalescing in a scrapyard by now." Megatron said as he looked at the two Autobots with dark-purple eyes. "Why don't you invite him down here for a chat?" Ratchet asked Optimus as the red and white Autobot started to "crack his knuckles." "I know why you're here, Megatron." Optimus said. "Hardly a surprise, Optimus. After all, you and I have been at this for a long time, and your time has come to an end!" Megatron said, and pulled out the shard of Dark Energon from earlier and threw it into the ground. The shard struck and disappeared into the ground, then at the very spot of the shard's impact, cracks that were glowing an eerie-purple started to form on the entire battle field between the Autobots and Megatron. Megatron was soon glowing the same eerie-purple and shouted, "Rise my army!" In no time at all, hands of fallen Cybertronian warriors popped out of the ground like daisies in a garden, and Terrorcons were soon all over the battlefield. "By the AllSpark!" Ratchet said as he and Optimus looked with surprise and disgust to the desecration, and Megatron shouted, "Behold! The power of Dark Energon!!!"

The Terrorcons kept surfacing until they all were above ground, and both Optimus and Ratchet stood their ground. "Megatron has desecrated the resting place of our fallen ancestors, and his own!" Ratchet said. "Not even the dead are free from his war-mongering." Optimus said. "At last, symbiosis. I can feel it. I have complete control of my army." Megatron said, then shouted "Destroy them!" Optimus started to open fire on the Terrorcons as the Cybertronian zombies started to march forward, but it gave the Autobot leader little results as they kept rising as fast as they were shot down. "Optimus, if our combatants are already deceased, how can we possibly stop them?" Ratchet asked as the two Autobots started to step back, and Optimus didn't have an answer for the medic. "Ratchet, retreat. Bridge yourself back to base!" Optimus finally told Ratchet, but Ratchet pulled out two short swords and said, "No, I shall stand with you Optimus! You may require a medic when this is over with." Optimus kept shooting as Ratchet started to stab and cut the Terrorcons apart, finding it more effective. "I recommend dissection. The smaller the pieces, the better!" Ratchet said. "Sound advice, old friend," Optimus said, then switched to his long blades and started to stab and slice the Terrorcons, taking out more than he did with his guns. "I have mastered Dark Energon, and when you fall Optimus, you too shall join my army!" Megatron shouted. Optimus gave Megatron a glare, and the Autobot leader and Ratchet kept fighting the Terrorcons.

In the Black Hills, Tracey was making her last dash for Bulkhead and Andrew when the Eradicons shot down a couple of trees, causing them to block her path, then Bulkhead transformed, and drove up to Tracey. "Get in, now!" Bulkhead said, and Tracey literally jumped into Bulkhead, and the Autobot sped off to a safe area. "Thanks Bulkhead. I owe you!" Tracey said. "What are you doing here?" Bulkhead asked. "Andrew followed you and I got worried. Have you seen him?" Tracey asked, and Andrew popped up from the backseat and asked, "What's he look like?" Bulkhead got behind some trees and opened a door saying, "Everyone out. And this time, please wait here?" After hearing his car door shut, Bulkhead sped off for the Decepticon ship, and Tracey noticed something and shouted, "Bulkhead!" but he couldn't hear her. Bulkhead got to a cliff nearest to the ship, transformed, and started climbing up the side of the cliff, then jumped onto the Decepticon ship and started to take out the Eradicons, throwing the first one off of the ship, punching the head off of the second one, and shooting and flattening the third one.

Bulkhead glanced back at the hiding spot he gave to the teenagers, only to find that Tracey was the only one there. "Where's Andrew?" Bulkhead asked her, but found out when he heard something knocking in his chest. Bulkhead opened an item compartment, and Andrew popped out gasping for air. "Andrew?" Bulkhead asked, surprised the boy even survived. "I hid in the backseat, sorry." Andrew said, and Bulkhead got him out and on the ship. "Remind me to never do that again." Andrew said. After Andrew got onto his feet, Bulkhead was tackled by an Eradicon that was sent to help the first three, but Bulkhead threw it off and smashed it with a wrecking ball fist, then started taking out more with his guns as Andrew made himself a smaller target. The Eradicons outnumbered Bulkhead, so the Autobot grabbed a metal dish, and flung it at the Eradicons, taking all of them out in one swoop. Bulkhead picked up Andrew again, and entered the ship through an opening that the Decepticon drones left open. Back on the ground, Tracey saw Bulkhead disappear into the ship and said, "Maybe the Decepticons are more focused on him now," but found she was wrong when two Eradicons found her.

Inside the ship, Bulkhead ran down a corridor with Andrew in his hand, then spotted two Eradicons coming out of another corridor. Bulkhead put Andrew on the ground and fought the Eradicons, taking them out easily, then picked up Andrew again and continued down the corridor. Elsewhere, Tracey was being carried by her captors as one said, "Take her to the brig, Commander Starscream is keeping the other human there." "Starscream?" Tracey thought, then remembered her dream of Cliffjumper saying, "Scream, it's been a while." " 'Scream' must've been short for Starscream, and Fowler's in the brig!" Tracey thought, then the Eradicons entered another corridor when Arcee and Bumblebee came in vehicle form. Arcee tripped the Eradicons, and Bumblebee caught Tracey after the girl was thrown into the air. "Bumblebee! Arcee!" Tracey said as she was placed on the ground, and Bumblebee buzzed and whirred to her to see if she was okay. "We appreciate you clearing the front door for us, but storming a Decepticon Warship was not homework." Arcee said. "Tell me about it." Tracey said. The group of three ran down the corridor, then when they got to a corner, Arcee pulled out one of her guns and pointed at a target, but found it was Bulkhead and Andrew instead. "Friendly!" Arcee said, and Bulkhead said, "Hello!" "Brought the humans, huh?" Arcee asked. "You try getting them to stay behind!" Bulkhead said. "We need to find Fowler and get the teenagers out of here." Arcee said. "Fowler's in the brig, and Starscream's interrogating him." Tracey said.

In the brig, Fowler was still hanging, exhausted from all the shocks he had received, when Starscream said, "My dear Agent Fowler, you do realize the Autobots have abandoned you." Fowler didn't say anything, and Starscream chuckled and said, "I'm the only one you can rely upon now, so tell me what I want to know, or..." then the Decepticon powered the prod and slowly inched it toward the human. "Please! No more! They're in a secret government base," Fowler said in a low voice, and Starcream stopped the prod and said, "Go on?" Just then, gun fire was heard outside the room, and the Eradicon guards got their guns out incase they had to investigate. "Yes?" Starscream asked, hoping he'd still get something out of Fowler. "In the old steel mill, or was it under that carnival's funhouse?" Fowler said, no longer being helpful, and Starscream growled and shocked the agent into unconsciousness, then ordered to the Eradicons, "Someone find out what is going on out there!" and the Eradicons ran out to investigate.

In a corridor, Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee fought Eradicons that got in their way, and Tracey and Andrew hid every time a fight would emerge, then Arcee decided that the teens needed to stay in a room until the mission was over. "Tracey, Andrew, follow me," Arcee said, and the entire group followed. Arcee found a door and knocked on it, then when an Eradicon answered, she shot it down and she, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee shot down the rest. "Clear," Arcee said, then after Tracey and Andrew came inside the room, Arcee told them, "Wait in here, we'll pick you up after we get Fowler." Tracey and Andrew looked at each other, then back up as Bumblebee buzzed and whirred to Arcee. "They're slowing us down, and they're easy targets. They'll be all right in here, as long as they stay put." Arcee said, then she and the rest of the Autobots left to look for Fowler, and the door shut. "That was intense!" Andrew said. "Andrew, what were you thinking? This intensity is the kind that kills people!" Tracey said. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry I followed Bulkhead here." Andrew said. "Tell that to Arcee. She thinks that Bulkhead brought us here, and I'm sure Optimus would too." Tracey said. Andrew looked down for a little bit, then found something and asked, "Um, Tracey, what's that?" Tracey looked the way Andrew was looking, and they both were looking at Megatron's stash of Dark Energon the Decepticon leader had brought to Earth!

At the battlefield, Optimus and Ratchet were still fighting the Terrorcon army, which had been reduced tremendously. "Optimus, this prolonged exposure to Dark Energon is sapping our strength." Ratchet said. "We cannot falter now," Optimus said, and they continued to fight on, but soon Optimus found some of the Terrorcons piling up on him and buried under them. "Optimus!" Ratchet shouted when he saw this, then the Terrorcons started to pile on him until he was buried as well. Megatron chuckled to the sight, but Optimus broke free from the Terrorcon pile that was on him, and the Autobot leader helped Ratchet out of the pile that was burying him, finding the Terrorcons had attacked Ratchet enough to break his right arm. "After all these years, Optimus, still at the top of your game," Megatron said, and Optimus and Ratchet stood their ground again as the Decepticon leader ordered to the Terrorcons, "My legion, finish them!"

On the ship in the brig, Starscream started to get anxious, then said to Agent Fowler, "Wake up, you pathetic lump of flesh!" only to get a dazed response from the man. Starscream growled, then the door to the prison block opened to an Eradicon being there. "Well?!" Starscream asked, but the Eradicon collapsed to the ground to reveal Bulkhead, and the Autobot shot down the other Eradicon that had stayed with Starscream. Bulkhead and Bumblebee entered the prison block and pointed their guns at Starscream, but the Decepticon pointed a gun at Fowler and said, "Not so fast!" Starscream then felt a tap on his head and looked up to find Arcee right above him. "I wouldn't," Arcee warned, but Starscream said, "Oh, but I might."

With Tracey and Andrew, they walked up to the Dark Energon, and Tracey said, "I don't know what this is, but it doesn't look good." "And whatever it is, the Decepticons have a mother-load of it." Andrew said. "A mother-load to us, a bunch to them," Tracey said, then noticed the places where three shards had been broken off and said, "And it looks like they used some." "We have to show the Autobots, but how?" Andrew asked. "We can't leave the room, Arcee said to stay put, but we can take picture evidence," Tracey said, then got her cell phone out and took a picture of the Dark Energon when it showed completely on her cell phone's screen. "Nice," Andrew said, then found a computer with schematics on the screen and said, "That important too?" Tracey looked at the screen, and said, "I don't read Cybertronian, but that is one serious math equation." "Can we download it?" Andrew asked. "I don't see a USB port in the monitor, so we'll have to get a snap of it." Tracey said, and took a picture of the screen. Just after she did, the screen changed to a page with a lot of Cybertronian words. "Whoa!" Tracey said. "What does it say?" Andrew asked. Tracey got her computer out and took a picture of the screen with it, then inserted the picture into the translator, and a page of translated words popped up. "It's private log, by Megatron!" Tracey said. "Megatron's back?" Andrew asked. "And it looks like he brought that stuff here, it's called 'The Blood of Unicron' or as it's better known by, 'Dark Energon'." Tracey said, then she and Andrew heard footsteps and ran for a hiding spot before an Eradicon came in to find dead Eradicons on the ground. "Scrap!" Tracey and Andrew both whispered.

Back in the brig, the Mexican-Standoff took one minute before Starscream said, "Now, Agent Fowler and I will take our leave." Fowler then had another dazed outburst, distracting Starscream long enough for the Autobots to fire on him, but Starscream dodged every shot and fled the prison block in jet form. "Bumblebee, get Fowler, Bulkhead, we're picking up Tracey and Andrew." Arcee said, and Bulkhead and Bumblebee nodded. With the teens, Tracey darkened her computer screen to see the rest of the translated log while avoiding the Eradicon finding them, and her eyes widened to what she read. "What's the matter?" Andrew whispered. "Megatron brought Cliffjumper back to life in a test to see what the Dark Energon could do, then he shoved some into his spark!" Tracey whispered. "That's crazy!" Andrew whispered. "I know, and it covers why two of the broken-off shards are gone, but what happened to the third one?" Tracey whispered, reading the rest of the log. "Megatron probably shoved two shards of the stuff in him," Andrew whispered. "No, the log says he only used one on himself, and if the first brought Cliffjumper back from the dead... We have to get out of here!" Tracey whispered. "Let's go!" Andrew whispered, but when Tracey put her computer away and the two teens got to their feet, the Eradicon found and pointed a gun at them.

Tracey and Andrew stood frozen in place as the Eradicon powered its gun, but then it was beaten away, scaring the teens, then the two humans were relieved to see Bulkhead. "Bulkhead!" Andrew said. "You're welcome," Bulkhead said, then transformed and let Andrew in as Tracey climbed on Arcee, then the group met up with Bumblebee and high-tailed it out of the Decepticon ship. "Did you guys find Fowler?" Tracey asked. "We did, and he's safe in Bumblebee, even though he's dazed right now." Arcee said. "My dad told me about dazed states; it'll take a few hours or so to wear off, depending on the level of damage to an individual," Tracey said, then Fowler had a dazed outburst again over the comm link to Bulkhead and Arcee, and the girl said, "Yeah, it'll take until tomorrow for Fowler's to wear off." After getting outside, Arcee managed to activate the Ground Bridge, and they were bridged back to base to care for Fowler.

At the battlefield, Optimus and Ratchet finished off the Terrorcon army, and Megatron said, "Bravo, Optimus! But this is just a prelude. You may want to save your strength for the main event!" Megatron said with dark-purple eyes. Optimus put his long swords away, then started climbing the cliff saying, "You will not prevail, Megatron, not while Energon still flows through my veins." "Pity, for it is Dark Energon which flows through mine," Megatron said when Optimus got to the top, then transformed and flew off back to the Decepticon ship. Optimus tried to hit Megatron with a few shots from his gun, but missed every time. Ratchet got to the top of the cliff, and Optimus helped the Autobot over the edge, and the two of them looked over the battlefield, which was covered in re-dead Cybertronian warriors. "If this wasn't Megatron's endgame, what is?" Ratchet asked, and Optimus narrowed his eyes to a thought about Megatron's big event.

After everyone was back at the base safely, Optimus helped repair Ratchet's arm and put a brace on it to allow the arm to heal, and Tracey and Andrew were by the railing nearest to Bulkhead as Andrew asked, "What happened to you?" "We engaged an army of undead Cybertronian warriors." Ratchet said. "Zombies? You fought zombies and we missed it?" Andrew asked. "I would've preferred staying here anyway." Tracey said, getting her things together. "Bulkhead, you exercised extremely poor judgment in allowing the humans to accompany you." Optimus said. "It won't happen again, Optimus. I promise." Bulkhead said. "But it wasn't Bulkhead's fault," Andrew said. "Andrew, please," Bulkhead whispered, but Andrew continued as Tracey pulled up her cell phone picture of the schematics, "And look. Recon." Optimus looked at the schematics, then said, "Ratchet, have a look. It could be of importance to Megatron." "And as always, Megatron is back to cause trouble." Andrew said. Ratchet looked at the schematics, then asked, "Did you get anything else?" "These are the only schematics we could get. We also found a lot of Dark Energon and a private log that was done by Megatron." Tracey said. "Did you read it?" Ratchet asked. "With the translator's help. I was able to find out that Cliffjumper was revived by Dark Energon, that Megatron shoved some of the stuff in his spark, and that he was planning a huge invasion!" Tracey said. "An invasion?" Optimus asked. "Yeah. Megatron wants to invade Earth with an army of undead Cybertronians and wipe out the humans, but that was it." Tracey said. "Cool, then Optimus and Ratchet spoiled that when they fought the zombies earlier." Andrew said. "This invasion means from another planet, not from an old battlefield where Optimus and Ratchet could've been killed, and speaking of that, we both were almost killed when you followed Bulkhead!" Tracey said. "If you don't like it, then why don't you just leave this like you wanted to yesterday?" Andrew said. "Fine! Then I will!" Tracey said. "Tracey, putting you in harms way was never our intent, however, it is no longer the safety of you two as you pointed out, but the safety of all human kind. We will respect your decision if you wish to leave." Optimus said, and the Ground Bridge activated with Ratchet saying, "No point in long good-byes, here's the door." Tracey walked down the steps, then looked at Arcee and said, "I know, you're just fiction." "Don't make me hunt you down." Arcee said, then sighed as Tracey disappeared through the Ground Bridge.

On the Decepticon ship, Megatron was furious at Starscream for disobeying commands and about what had happened. "Please, Lord Megatron! I meant no-" Starscream pleaded, but was beaten away. "I ordered you to await my command!" Megatron said, then the leader violently knocked Starscream down to the ground and continued, "Instead, your mindless agenda resulted in the disabling of my ship and the delay of my plans!" Starscream started to scoot away from Megatron with fright as he said innocently, "My intentions were pure, Master. I only wanted you to be rid of Optimus," then was stomped on by one of Megatron's feet. "No one rids me of Optimus Prime but me! Do you understand?! DO YOU?!?" Megatron demanded. "Lord Megatron! I will make things right, I swear! I know how to set your plans back on course!" Starscream said, then Megatron took his foot off of the Decepticon, lifted him up by the neck and said, "Explain Starscream, quickly."

At home in her garage, Tracey was writing in her notebook when Andrew and Bumblebee came for a visit. "Hey, Tracey." Andrew said. "Don't you have something else to do?" Tracey asked, still angry from what happened earlier. "Tracey, I'm sorry for the way I acted back at the Autobot base, but we need you, and I've seen you." Andrew said. "Do you have a point?" Tracey asked. "Yeah. I've never seen someone move like that and use hiding spots cleverly before, and I thought it was cool that you came to save me." Andrew said. "Ever since dad died, I was raised to be responsible and honor everyday he's not here. You don't know what it's like to be me, Andrew, the pain I have from hearing that he died still hurts to this day! Unlike you, I care for my actions, my friends, my family, my education, and my job!" Tracey said. "Tracey," Andrew said. "No! Just leave! I'd rather have a normal life than one where I have to hide a huge robot from my mother!" Tracey said, and went inside her house. "Aw man." Andrew said, then got in Bumblebee and went home.

At the base, Ratchet was able to find out what the schematics were to, and said, "It can't be. Optimus!" Optimus came over to Ratchet, and the medic told him, "These are engineering specs for a Space-Time Vortex Generator." "Megatron is building a Space Bridge, if he hasn't already." Optimus said. "The sooner he leaves the better." Bulkhead said. "Bulkhead, a Space Bridge runs in two directions. Megatron may not be using it to leave Earth, but to bring through his conquering army." Optimus said. "The main event Megatron referred to? But the only place Megatron could possibly recruit that many fallen warriors..." Ratchet said. "Precisely," Optimus said, and the three Autobots pictured where as Optimus said it's name, "Cybertron."

Optimus imagined the outcome of Megatron's plan if it was a success as he said, "We cannot allow Megatron to send Dark Energon to Cybertron. If we fail, the dead of Cybertron will rise, swarm through the Space Bridge's vortex, and invade Earth, bending human kind to Megatron's twisted rule."

The next morning, Tracey walked to work to give her boss her week's schedule, and just got out of the building when someone said, "Depressed?" and found it was Arcee in motorcycle form. "Arcee, please. Tell Optimus I respect him greatly, but if you're at war with the Decepticons and don't need humans to get in the way, then there's no way I can help." Tracey said. "Optimus didn't send me, and no one's asking for your help." Arcee said. "But I'm not warrior material, and I'm not ready to die like my dad did yet!" Tracey said. "Tracey, listen, I just lost someone I care about earlier this week. Maybe it's the grief talking, or maybe you're growing on me. Whatever it is, I'm just not ready to say good-bye." Arcee said, and Tracey looked at the Autobot.

At the Autobot base, Ratchet found the Space Bridge and said, "Optimus, I've just pinpointed the location of Megatron's Space Bridge, high in Earth's orbit." "Out of our reach." Optimus said. "Okay, so you don't fly, but can't you Ground Bridge into space?" Andrew asked. "A Ground Bridge has limited range, stretched into Earth's orbit, the vortex could snap and scatter us to the stars." Ratchet said. "Since Megatron is likely in transit, I'm afraid we'll have to take that risk. Getting to the Space Bridge first is our only means of stopping his plan." Optimus said. Just then, everyone heard a horn blare, and Arcee arrived with Tracey on her seat. Tracey got off so Arcee could transform, and she took the helmet off and said, "Hi. Look who's back." Optimus nodded, then said, "Autobots, prepare for departure." "Where to?" Arcee asked. "The final frontier." Andrew said. "Space? Isn't that impossible for a Ground Bridge?" Tracey asked. "It is, sort of." Andrew said. "Then, all of you stay safe?" Tracey said. Arcee gave Tracey a quick smile before joining Optimus, and Ratchet started up the Ground Bridge. "Be careful, Bee?" Andrew said, and Bumblebee buzzed and whirred to the boy before joining the group. "Optimus, if you leave me stranded on a planet teeming with humans, I will never forgive you." Ratchet said. "Until we meet again, old friend." Optimus said, then got his mouth guard on. "Autobots, roll out!" Optimus said, and he, Arcee, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead transformed and drove through the Ground Bridge vortex.

"Maximum Overdrive!" Optimus said, and the group sped up to launch themselves to the Space Bridge. The Autobot group entered space successfully, and Optimus said, "Autobots, transform and gravitize!" The group transformed and gravitized to the Space Bridge, and Bulkhead got space-sick saying, "Don't look down, or up, or left." Optimus then spotted the Decepticon Warship approaching the Space Bridge as Arcee asked, "So Megatron's packing enough Dark Energon to raise Cybertron's dead?" "And since we don't possess ready means of disabling the Space Bridge, nothing gets in or out." Optimus said, and the group stood ready for a fight. In the bridge of the ship, Megatron laughed and said, "Optimus Prime never disappoints, unlike you, Starscream." Starscream stuttered a little before saying, "No need for concern, Master; Soundwave is locking onto Cybertron's coordinates, er, on my instructions."

Arcee soon grew impatient and asked, "Well, what are they waiting for?" Optimus zoomed his vision in on the ship for anything that might be causing the situation, and found one saying, "It appears the Decepticons have sustained serious damage to their Interstellar Navigation System." "Oh. That's my handiwork." Bulkhead said. "Great job, Bulkhead." Optimus said. "If their navigation systems are damaged, the Decepticons can't direct the Space Bridge to Cybertron?" Tracey asked via comm link. "Precisely, Tracey." Optimus said. At the base, Ratchet had the comm open so they could talk to Optimus and Andrew asked, "But don't the Decepticons know where their own planet is?" "Naturally. But Cybertron is light-years away." Ratchet said. "So their aim must be astronomically precise in order to put their plan in motion. But why did Megatron go through the trouble of rendezvousing with the Space Bridge?" Tracey asked. "The Decepticons must have an alternate targeting system. A remote one." Optimus said. "Hmph. With what I know of Earth's technology, I doubt there exists a single radio-telescope dish powerful enough to pinpoint Cybertron." Ratchet said. "What about a group of linked radio-telescope dishes, like the Giant Size Array in Nevada?" Tracey asked, but Ratchet objected saying, "This is not child's play!" "Good thinking Tracey. Ratchet, have Agent Fowler warn the Array Staff of the security hazard." Optimus said, much to Ratchet's dismay. The group then heard Fowler have a dazed outburst, and Andrew told Optimus, "That may be challenge, he's still dazed." Tracey got on the Autobot computers to see if she could hack her way into the Array, but said, "I can't get past the Array's firewalls. They're too thick!" "You actually think you could keep the Decepticons out?" Ratchet asked. "If I could get in, I could. We have to log into the internal network on the other side of the firewall, it's the only way." Tracey said. "The risk is too great. The Decepticons will be there, perhaps even on sight." Optimus said. "Optimus, with all due respect, you said it yourself, this is bigger than the safety of two humans, so if the 'Cons win, we're all fragged." Andrew said. "Tracey?" Optimus said. Tracey thought for a moment, then said confidently, "I want to give it a shot."

I like this so far. Makes me want to write a Prime AU.

So, only two plus fowler? Anything else that will change via ripple effect?

Dark Times Pt. 5 Section 2

On the Decepticon ship, Starscream observed the Autobots and said to Megatron, "Surely, Lord Megatron, the Autobots are up to something." Megatron faced Starscream and over-loomed the second-in-command as the former said sarcastically, "Really, Starscream?" Starscream nervously chuckled, then Megatron turned back to the control panel, punched down on a command to send Eradicons out and ordered, "Crush them!" The fleet of Eradicons took flight, and Bulkhead spotted them. "Here comes the welcoming comity!" Bulkhead said, and a fight surfaced. Optimus shot some of the Eradicons out of mid-space in the battling area, then slammed one Eradicon's head into the ground (after the Decepticon drone had landed to fight him directly) and flung it at another incoming Eradicon. When Bulkhead got to attack the Eradicons that landed on the Space Bridge, the green Autobot used his wrecking-ball to punch and smash the Decepticon drones; with Arcee and Bumblebee, Bumblebee just kept shooting at the Eradicons, and Arcee got her blades out and started to slice them into pieces.

At the Giant Size Array, Ratchet Ground Bridged Tracey and Andrew to the main computer lab, and the two teens moaned a little to the transportation. "That'll get some taking used to." Tracey said, holding her head, then looked around to see if anyone was in the lab, finding the place vacant. "Security sure is lax in this place," Andrew said as he and Tracey got in a private computer room and shut the door. "And before we start getting in," Tracey said, then got her cell phone out, took a snap shot of the room at the security-camera's angle, and put the picture in front of the camera lens with the picture on full-screen. "Nice." Andrew said. "A trick I learned from a movie." Tracey said, then started to get into the network. "I'm in, but so are the Decepticons. The schematics for their Space Bridge is on here." Tracey said. "And this time we can download it." Andrew said, and Tracey plugged a flash-drive into the computer to download the schematics. "What are the Decepticons doing with the schematics in human computers anyway?" Andrew asked. "To sync the dishes with the Space Bridge, but I can sync to them. And even if they see I'm in the system, they'll have no idea that I'm in the proximity." Tracey said, and started to hack. Unknown to them, Soundwave was in the room next door to theirs, and was locking the dishes onto Cybertron.

At the Space Bridge, the Autobots finished off the first wave of Decepticons when the Space Bridge suddenly started to tremble to movement. "Whoa!" Bulkhead said. "What just happened?" Arcee asked. "The Decepticons are locking onto Cybertron." Optimus said. When they were locked on, Starscream smiled and reported it to Megatron, "Lord Megatron, the Space Bridge is ready for activation!" "Finally." Megatron said. Back at the Array, Tracey typed away saying, "You won't be locked on for long," and she got the Space Bridge to get out of aim. Bumblebee buzzed to this, and Optimus said, "Indeed Bumblebee, this can only be Tracey's doing." Megatron was outraged as he asked, "Starscream! What is happening?" Starscream stuttered a little before asking Soundwave, "Soundwave, what is happening?!" Soundwave checked the security-cameras of the Array, but found nothing was wrong until one of the pictures went black, then sent a ground-spy-drone to check the room with the blacked-out camera as he re-aimed for Cybertron.

"The dishes are heading back towards Cybertron. I'll just spoil that again." Tracey said. The door to the room then banged, and Andrew and Tracey looked at it. "Andrew, you did lock the door, right?" Tracey asked, then got back to hacking again. "Yeah." Andrew said, then another bang was heard. Andrew grabbed a police nightstick that was in the room, and stood ready to do anything as the spy drone punched a fist through the door and opened it from the inside. Andrew started to bat the drone as it started to lunge itself at him, and Tracey was battling Soundwave on the computer with the dishes. "I'm not letting you lock on again!" Tracey said. Andrew kept swinging at the spy drone until his weapon was knocked out of the boys hands and into the security camera, knocking the cell phone off and giving Soundwave a clear view of who he was up against. Tracey was forced to stop hacking when the drone started to jump at her, but she dodged the drone and got her flash-drive out of the system, then dodged the spy drone again, losing the computers this time. Tracey grabbed her cell phone as Andrew got the drones attention, then the girl got an axe off of its hooks and chopped the drone's head off when Andrew was a safe distance away. "Come on!" Tracey said, and they ran into the next room, finding Soundwave. Soundwave looked at them, seeing that Tracey still had the axe, then used a tentacle to wrestle it out of the girl's grasp, but Tracey refused to let go until she was slammed into the wall. "Tracey!" Andrew said. "The hard lines!" Tracey choked out, but Soundwave locked onto Cybertron and cut the hard lines. Tracey took her phone and snapped a picture of Soundwave so they could get an ID of him, and Soundwave took a picture of the teens before leaving. "Check the hard lines." Tracey said, and Andrew did. "The hard lines are cut. The dishes are locked onto Cybertron for good." Andrew said. Tracey dialed up Ratchet and said, "Ratchet, we need a Ground Bridge back. The 'Cons are locked to Cybertron with the hard lines cut."

I really like how you're trying to do this story. If I may ask, it sometimes seems a bit confusing; do you need a beta reader? Also, it WJ going to stay once he arrives?

I don't have Beta Reader, but I do try to make my stories not so confusing. I don't know about what will go on with Wheeljack yet.

Dark Times Pt. 5 Section 3

The Space Bridge locked onto Cybertron, and on the Decepticon ship, Megatron asked, "Now, Starscream?" "Now," Starscream said, and activated the Space Bridge. The Autobots were fighting off another wave of Eradicons when a vortex formed, and Megatron came out on the roof of the ship with all the Dark Energon the Decepticon leader had. "At last!" Megatron said, then launched the Dark Energon at the Space Bridge vortex. Optimus finished off the last Eradicon, then shot at the Dark Energon with hopes of at least changing its course, but missed the evil crystals, and the Dark Energon vanished through the vortex. The Dark Energon soon crashed into Cybertron, spreading its evil power across the planet, then Megatron started to glow the Dark Energon's eerie-purple as he shouted, "ARISE MY LEGION!" and the dead of Cybertron started to rise. The Autobots watched the event as Bulkhead asked, "So, how do we beat a whole planet of the undead?" and Optimus knew there was only one solution now.

At the base, the computers started to pick up multiple signatures as Tracey and Andrew were joined by Fowler, who was back to normal. "Optimus! I'm registering a rapidly expanding mass in their Space Bridge vortex, one with a peculiar energy signature." Ratchet said. "Dark Energon. Ratchet we must destroy the Space Bridge. There's enough live Energon coursing through it to achieve detonation, but we lack the firepower to ignite it." Optimus said. "If I knew how the Space Bridge was engineered, I would find a technical way of accomplishing that feat." Ratchet said. "Would the schematics to the Space Bridge help?" Tracey asked, getting the schematics up on the computers from her flash-drive. "Optimus, I must say. The Space Bridge is our soul hope of ever returning to Cybertron, are you certain its destruction is our only option?" Ratchet asked. "I'm afraid so." Optimus said. "Then by all means, let us light our darkest hour!" Ratchet said. "If we're going to ignite the Energon by overpowering it, you must to reach the Energon Pump System beneath the Space Bridge." Tracey said.

"Autobots, take your positions and follow Ratchet's lead," Optimus said, and Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee headed for the Energon Pump System as Optimus looked at Megatron, who was in jet form, and said, "While I make my stand." Megatron transformed to robot form and landed a distance away from Optimus, the Decepticon leader's eyes and sigil glowing purple. "Your fellow Autobots are wise, Optimus. They know when to retreat." Megatron said. "I hold no illusions of engaging your army, Megatron, but I might be able to derail its objective by removing its head." Optimus said, pulling out a blade. Megatron laughed and said, "Highly unlikely, Optimus, for I am infused with their very might!" "One shall stand, one shall fall." Optimus said, and the faction leaders stood for ten seconds before Megatron pulled his blade out and began their battle. Back at the base, the signatures were getting closer to the Space Bridge on the computers as Fowler said, "These things are getting closer. That's bad right?" "No offense, but of course it is!" Andrew said. "Ratchet, we're in position." Arcee said. Tracey pulled up the layout to the Energon Pump System as Ratchet said, "Arcee, pay close attention." With Optimus and Megatron, Megatron had an upperhand on Optimus when the Decepticon leader broke Optimus's blade with one powerful swipe, then used an uppercut to punch Optimus into space, slammed the Autobot leader to the ground, then threw Optimus like he was a rag doll. Optimus landed on the ground with some sparks coming out, then Megatron was about to give the final blow with his blade when Starscream ruined that by saying, "Master?" "Starscream, what is it?!" Megatron growled. "I do not wish to doubt your all-seeing wisdom, but I believe the Autobots are up to something again, beneath your bridge this time." Starscream said. "Ah, misdirection Optimus. You would've made a fine Decepticon." Megatron said, then tried to deliver his attack, but Optimus was able to block it with what was left of his blade as the Autobot leader said, "I choose my side," then swatted Megatron's blade away, switched to his blaster, and blasted Megatron off the ground. Megatron transformed to his jet form and headed for the Autobot group below the Space Bridge as he said, "Starscream, my army approaches. Rendezvous at the Space Bridge for pick up."

With Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee, they were at the Energon Pump System with Arcee listening to Ratchet's instructions. "Now follow the line from the Flow Regulator to the Energon Pump. There should be a valve." Ratchet said. "I see it." Arcee said, getting the Energon Pump's valve to come out. "Good." Ratchet said. "Now, to turn all that power against itself, all you need to do is reverse the current, but after you do, you won't have much time before the Space Bridge self-destructs from the overload." Tracey said. Arcee took the valve, and turned it, making the Energon Pump spark blue as the current started to reverse itself. Back at the base, the humans and Ratchet waited for a confirmed report to the Energon Pump, then Arcee said, "Current reversed," and much to the teenagers bewilderment, Fowler said, "Yes! Right?" "I'll ready the Ground Bridge." Ratchet said. "All right, guys, you have under five minutes until the explosion. I'd start taking a leave right now while Ratchet gets the Ground Bridge ready." Tracey said. "Got it." Bulkhead said. Just after the countdown started, Megatron found the Autobot group and the three Autobots started to shoot at the Decepticon leader. Megatron shot back at them, hitting Arcee in the chest and sending her drifting.

On the surface that Optimus was standing on, shocks ran over it, and the Autobot leader retreated as pieces started to break off. Megatron flew to the vortex of the Space Bridge, then transformed to robot form to wait for his army and noticed that his ship was nowhere near the Space Bridge. "Starscream, where is my ship?!" Megatron asked. "We would never make it, Lord Megatron! Don't be a fool! Take flight and retreat!!!" Starscream said. "Optimus, the Ground Bridge is ready and waiting!" Ratchet said, and Optimus said, "Autobots, jump!" and they jumped for the Ground Bridge portal. While jumping for the Ground Bridge portal, Bumblebee collected Arcee, and the Autobots disappeared through the Ground Bridge before the portal closed. Megatron stayed at the Space Bridge, waiting for his army as he said, "My legion," then noticed that the Space Bridge was going to blow and tried to get at least one Terrorcon out with him, but the vortex disappeared and the Space Bridge exploded. On the Decepticon ship, Starscream said to all of the troops with sadness in his voice, "Decepticons, it is with deep sorrow that I note for the log... Megatron's spark has been extinguished," then said with a normal voice, "All hail Starscream."

At the base, Tracey, Andrew, Fowler, and Ratchet were waiting for the Autobot group as Tracey asked, "Do you think they're...?" Ratchet checked his scanners and said, "Four life signals. One very faint." Tracey and Andrew looked intentively at the Ground Bridge, then Optimus entered the base with scratches and cuts on his armor. Tracey was relieved a little, then Bulkhead entered the base. "Where's Bumblebee and Arcee?" Andrew asked, and the teens ran down the stairs, getting to the bottom just in time to see Bumblebee enter with Arcee in his arms. "Arcee!" Tracey said, then ran up to Bumblebee, only to find Arcee was unconscious. "We lost one this week. By the AllSpark, don't let it be two." Ratchet said. Tracey's eyes filled with tears, but she blinked them away while she put her hand on Arcee's, then Arcee woke up, giving Tracey and everyone else relief. "Arcee," Tracey said with a smile, and Arcee said, "Tracey, really? There are other motorcycles in the world." "But you're my first." Tracey said. "And Megatron?" Ratchet asked Optimus. "Not even he could've survived ground zero." Optimus replied. "Wait, Megatron's dead?" Andrew asked. "Obviously if Optimus said that." Tracey said. "Prime," Fowler said, getting everyone's attention, then the agent said as he entered the elevator, "I didn't get to thank you 'Bots for the save. I owe you one. We all do," and left. Arcee was let down onto her feet, then Tracey realized something with a sad look. "What's wrong?" Andrew asked. "Now that this is over, we have to forget all of this ever happened." Tracey said. "Do we have to Optimus?" Andrew asked, but Optimus looked at the teens and gave them an answer that made the teens smile.

Without a means of leaving this world, we Autobots take strength with the bonds we have forged with our two young friends-- True warriors. If not in body, then in spirit. My name is Optimus Prime, and I send this message. Though we did not choose to be of Earth, it would seen that we are here to stay. If you approach this planet with hostile intent, know this: We will defend ourselves. We will defend humanity. We will defend...our home.

This is making me want to AU Prime myself, but with it all taking place in GA mainly.

I'm gonna assume that the next bloc has one new guy live?
