However, a group of restless Predacons, led by the malevolent Megatron, have devised a plan to alter the present by changing the past! They have stolen the Golden Disc - an ancient device that holds the location in time and space of the planet Earth - from the great Vaults, and with this knowledge they plot to return to the planet in its infancy, reinforcing the Predacon army by reviving the Decepticon warriors lost aboard the Nemesis. While scrambling to muster a response force planet-side, Maximal High Command calls upon all allied ships in orbit to stop 'The Darksyde' as she flees Cybertronian space. The Maximal exploratory and survey vessel 'Axalon' intercepts the Predacon interstellar ship, intent on preventing the realization of the villains time-travelling coup. In the ensuing broadside-to-broadside firefight, both vessels are sucked into an uncontrollable time/space dimensional rift opened by The Darksyde's damaged interstellar drive, with no idea where - or when - they will end up... 1:1 _On the Darksyde_ Tortulas: The co-ordinates have been entered into the transwarparp drive Megatron. Megatron: With this disc, I will finally be able to destroy those insufferable Maximals. Then I can fulfill my name sake and rightful place as the ruler of the Predacons and all of Cybertron! ::The Darksyde is hit:: Megatron: WHa?! NO, how did they find us. Tortulas engage the transwarp drive.NOW! :: Two more hits (Transwarp Drive damaged) :: Megatron: Fire Back! __On the Axalon__ Rodentrap: This isn’t good, this is an exploration ship not a battle cruiser, we can’t take many more hits like that. Jubator: Shields at 10% Optimus! :: Another Hit:: Both the Axalon and Darksyde travel through the Transwarp portal. Dicerox: Brace yourselves we’re going down! Optimus Primal: Get the stasis pods into safe orbit. ::Both ships crash land on the planet:: Optimus Primal: Is everyone alright? Rodentrap: Yeah, Im okay, but I can’t say the same for Jubator’s landing ability. Dicerox: We're just lucky to be alive. Sentinel: Warning massive amounts of energon detected. Suitable native life forms needed to prevent stasis lock. Beginning scan. :: Back on the Darksyde:: Megatron: Computer, is this the right planet? Computer: Although the readings indicate this is earth, the transwarp drive sustained critical damage. It is unknown if the year is 1981. Although raw energon levels are dangerously high stasis lock immanent. Performing scan for suitable alt modes. …..Scan Complete. Megatron: Although we may not be in the right time theres is enough raw energon to fuel a Predacon army that cannot be stopped! _the computer scans and uncovers various life forms from different skeletons and nearby life forms_ _Carakiller is walking out of the Darksyde_ Dynobot: You incompetent fool! We are the reinforcements where is the army!? We stole those discs for nothing! Scrofanok: No one talks to Lord Megatoran like that! Megatoran: Scrofanok please. Not for nothing my brash Dynobot. These discs hold the location for rich energon deposits throughout this planet. Dynobot: Do not try to mitigate the mistakes you’ve made! If it weren’t for you lack of leadership and decisive action we would not have been in this situation. I challenge you Megatoran, to a battle. The winner shall lead the Predacons, the loser….shall be destroyed….DYNOBOT TERRORIZE! :: Megatoran turns his back to Dynobot and begins walking away:: Megatoran:Oh Dynobot, you are quit brave but more goes into being leader than just courage. You must be charismatic, strategic, and most importantly smarter than those you command. _Megatoran steps aside and Retrax is standing there and attacks Dynobot. Dynobot clearly holds the upper hand in the fight. Noticing this Megatoran signals to Terrorsoar who’s flying above the battle, he transforms lands and delivers a knockout blow to the back of Dynobot_ Terrorsoar: Shall I eliminate his spark? Megatoran: Now wheres the fun in that? _Axalon_ Poggletrap: Chasin Preds through the galaxy, that’s not what I signed up for. Optimus Primal: We were the only ship that could track Megatoran and his crew through the transwarp portal. We had no other choice. Poggletrap: Yeah, yeah but what I dont get is why it has to be my neck being stuck out there. And if Megs was looking to reinforce the Decepticons it looks like he missed his mark. No sign of Decepticons here. So why don’t we fix up the ol’ ship and head outta here? Optimus Primal: It’s not that simple, Earth use to have huge amounts of energon on it, but after the Great War the energon was depleted.It could have recharged enough that if Megatron was able to harvest it he could power his own Predacon army. We cant let him do that! Gryketor: Don’t sweat it Prime. That’s not ganna happen , not with us here. Optimus Primal: For Cybertron’s sake, Gryketor, I hope you're right.
Beast Wars Future: Part 2 1:2 Darksyde Megatoran: Retrax, Injector scout the area for the Maximal base and report back to me. Terrorsoar bring the traitor into the ship. Scrofanok: What shall I do? Megatoran: Find the spider and scan for the nearest energon deposit __Megatoran and Terrorsoar enter a prison holding and Terrorsoar drops Dynobot into a cell__ Megatoran: Keep guard. When he wakes, be sure to alert me. Terrorsoar: My talents could best be utilized on the battlefield. Not guarding an unconscious usurper. Megatoran: I will give the commands Terrorsoar, you will do well to remember that, so that you do not end up like him. __Megs turns and walks out__ Terrorsoar: And you would do well not to forget who put him there. Scrofonok: Scrofanok to Spindulas do you read me? <sccchhh> Spindulas? Spindulas: <Yes yes, what is it?> Scrofanok: Megatoran has ordered us to find energon. Spindulas: <I don’t have time for that now! There are more important things to be done!> Scrofanok: Nothing is more important that what Megatoran orders! Spindulas : <You’re a fool Scrofanok!> Scrofanok: What?! Why you useless Arch… <scccchhhh> Spindulas? Spindulas? ….At least I can claim all the glory when I do find the energon deposit for Megatoran! __Retrax and Injector are on an open beach area looking for the Maximal shuttle the Axalon__ Retrax: I could have beaten Dynobot, if it weren’t for that show off Terrorsaur. Injector: HAH! I could beat Megatoran! And become the leader of the Predacons!! Retrax: You could barely beat a maintenance bot, let alone Megatoran. __As they continue to bicker amongst themselves Gryketor watches them in beast form from afar__ Gryketor: Talking animals? That can only mean one thing, Predacons. Gryketor to Primal Ive spotted a couple of nasty Preds. Optimus Primal: Gryketor, you are not to engage, report back to base. Gryketor: Cool your jets Optimus this cat can handle these two. Poggletrap: Ah to be young and stupid Optimus Primal: Gryketor, hang on we are sending back up. Poggletrap: Who’s the backup? Rattleox: We are. Poggletrap: Nu uh, Hey if he wants to go and play hero and get himself scrapped that’s all fine and good, but there’s no way I am going out there. Optimus Primal: _Primal sighs in disappointment _ Fine you stay here and guard the ship. Rattleox and I will go give Gryketor the back up. __ Rattleox gives Poggletrap a look__ Poggletrap: Hey I am no coward, but you and Optimus can take that heroic attitude right into the line of fire of the Predacons. __Primal and Rattleox exit the ship__
Is this the story behind the designs of Beast Wars: Future that were circling round the Fan Art section quite some while ago? If so, I'll certainly be following this, I've been waiting for that story as I made some drawings for that thread myself, but they weren't as good as the mroe professional drawers i'm glad someone could use them to get inspired. I'll read trough this later, I've got no time for it now, but you may be certain, I'll be following this every day
It is good eye! The thread has been resurrected here . Its always a pleasure to have new contributions to the cause, so if you want you can re-post your designs on that thread. And as far as not being as good as the other artists, they are all really cool people who can give you pointers without making you feel like you're below them...trust me look at my art compared to theirs heh heh. I've read it through. Not a bad start, but could you give your writings a double check before you post them? There are some minor mistakes that can be easily prevented. It's a bit confusing sometimes, but for the rest a very good start. Let's all hope this can be continued
Beast Wars Future Pt3 1:3 _Optimus Primal and Rattleox are running to reinforce Gryketor_ Optimus Primal: Primal to Gryketor do you copy?< schhh…>…Primal to Gryketor do you copy? Rattleox, we have to hurry. _Rattleox and Optimus Primal arrive on scene with Megatoran present and Gryketor defeated_ Megatoran: Soo, we finally meet face to face Optimus Primal. Optimus Primal: What do you want Megatoran? Megatoran: Just your unconditional surrender, nothing more _He says with a grin_. In exchange I’ll spare the pussy cats life. Optimus Primal: This is pointless, why fight? Predacons and Maximals have lived in peace for hundreds of years. Megatoran: Ha! Peace on your terms. The Predacon-Maximal alliance is nothing more than a front. You’re a fool to think otherwise. So what’ll it be? _Megatoran charges his weapon and aims it at Gryketor_ Megatoran: Your time is up and the cat will suffer for you hesitation. _Just as Megatoran fires Gryketor falls through a hole and two shots are fired at Megatoran severely damaging his arm_ Megatoran: Arggh! Optimus Primal: Maximize and open fire. Megatoran: Get them! GET THEM! _A fire fight between Optimus Primal, Rattleox, Injector, and Retrax ensues. _Underneath in a tunnel a semi-conscious Gryketor opens his eyes and sees a Poggle dragging him_ Gryketor: Ahhww..What happened? Poggletrap: What happened? You went off and decided to start a war with the Preds, that’s what! Gryketor: Well, thanks for saving me… Poggletrap: Thanks for saving you? Buddy the only reason I saved you was because I didn’t want to listen to ‘fearless leader’s’ speeches once he got back to the Axalon. And if you ever decide to run off and play hero again, I’ll slag you myself. Poggletrap to Optimus, I’ve got Gryketor were heading back. _Back at the fire fight_ Optimus Primal: Poggletrap?! Poggletrap: <Yeah, yeah save the emotional reunions once we get to the ship> Optimus Primal:Rattleox, Gryketor’s safe, fall back! Injector: Megatoran, we must follow them and destroy them while we have the chance! Scrofanok: < Scrofanok to Megatoran, you must come quickly, I think you will be pleased!> Megatoran: No, there a much more pressing matters to attend too. _Inside Spindulas’s lair_ Spindulas: Megatoran is a short sighted fool; there is much to be done! More important things than dealing with those Maximals. _On a speaker on Spindulas’s computer_ Scrofanok: < Scrofanok to Megatoran, you must come quickly, I think you will be pleased!> Spindulas: Hmmm…Computer track Scrofanok’s location. Computer: Grid Alpha Spindulas: Beast Mode! Perhaps Megatoran’s rogues will be more use full than I previously anticapted.
Hey thanks for the Heads up Rhinox, Ill be the first to admit that my writing is confusing especially when im trying to write a complex story such as this, which i have never done. I appreciate the critique and did go back and do some editing as of today. If there's anything more specific that you think needs to be fixed feel free to point it or PM me. But im glad some one other than me is enjoying it!
Thanks Alty! Im trying my hardest to stay faithful to the source material, but at the same time i dont want to seem like i am completely ripping off the show. They really had such strong personalities in the show that its difficult, but hopefully as new characters arrive and there's different story elements introduced i can add my own little niche. Right now though i totally get excited when writing tarantulas and am excited as to were he is going in the story.
This is looking great! Things are really starting to get fleshed out, if you may pardon the pun. Is there any chance for a written prologue to go along with it for this information: What I'm meaning here is simply using this information as a primer for the story itself, even if it's just a half a page or something for an inside cover or something similar. This is SO cool that this project's really getting going ^_^
Part 4 1:4 _Scrofanok stands before Huffer_ Scrofanok: Megatoran will reward with ANOTHER promotion for this. _Megatoran along with Injector and Retrax come through the thick shrubbery_ Scrofanok: Mighty Megatoran, look at what I’ve discovered! Megatoran: Hmmm, quit a find indeed, Scrofanok. Unfortunately his internals are much to damaged to be of any use. Scrofanok: I wonder why it didn’t show up on any of our scanners Megatoran: The technology is simply out of date and obsolete. The husks of our ancestors must litter this planet. _Spindulas who is watching through a camera spider contemplates this discovery_ Spindulas: Hmmm… _On the Axalon_ Optimus Primal: What did you THINK you were doing out there? Gryketor: Aww..I don’t know. I thought I could take ’em. Optimus Primal: This is a war Gryketor, not a game. You can’t go running off like that without backup! You could have gotten yourself killed. Poggletrap: Or worse….Me! Gryketor: Um…I’m sorry you guys. I won’t let it happen again. _He mopes off to his quarters_ _Optimus Primal approaches Poggletrap_ Optimus Primal: Thank you Poggletrap. Poggletrap: Save it, we aint outta the clear. Megatoran’s still out there. Optimus Primal: I know and we are vastly outnumbered a disadvantage that is more evident than ever. _The base's alarm begins to go off__ _Verrrrtt Verrrrt Verrrrt_ Rattleox: Maybe not, look. _On a 3d image in the middle of the room a stasis pod is descending into a desert area_ Optimus Primal: Poggletrap, you stay with Gryketor. Rattleox you come with me we have to move fast to secure that pod. _On the Darksyde_ _VERT VERT_ Megatoran: Computer.. Computer: Maximal stasis pod detected in grid 2. Megatoran: This could be an opportune time to take a deceive advantage over the Maximal. Scrofanok and Retrax, we will stop the Maximals and claim that pod for the Predacons. _ Inside the Darksyde’s prison holding Dynobot begins to wake up. Terrorsoar notices and attempts to contact Megatoran. Before he’s able to say a word Dynobot interrupts_ Dynobot: You are a coward Terrorsoar. An honor-less fighter Terrorsoar: Please, don’t bore me with you insults of honor. Dynobot: In a fair fight I would crush you. Fight me now coward! Terrorsoar: You are hardly a match for me. Dynobot: So you need Megatoran’s permission to battle? _Terrorsoar, clearly angered by Dynobot challenging him on his skill as well has playing on his feelings of being superior to Megatoran, begins to lower the energy field that is encasing Dynobot. With his sword already drawn Terrorsoar lowers the shield an immediately attacks an unarmed Dynobot. The two battle without either one taking an advantage._ ______________________________________________________________________________ _In the desert where there downed pod is located the Maximals arrive just after the Predacons._ Megatoran: The stasis pod has been claimed by the Predacons Primal, you’re too late. Optimus Primal: I’m not in the mood Megatoran we need that stasis pod, its Maximal property. Megatoran: Ha ha ha… you really expect me to hand it over because simply because it’s yours? I think not. _Megatoran transforms and begins blasting the Maximals, who take cover behind some rocks_ Optimus Primal: Maximize! _Rattleox Maximizes as well_ Rattleox: We can’t shoot at them, we risk hitting the stasis pod. Optimus Primal: Well, any suggestions? _While the Predacons provide cover fire Scrofanok begins working on re-programming the shell program of the protoform. Upon completing the download of the new program he hits enter and the screen reads ‘Request Denied’_ Scrofanok: WHAT?! _He opens the pod to reveal that it is empty_ Scrofanok: Megatoran, the pod is empty! Megatoran: No, the protoform has already been activated! _Just then a windrunner swoops down and hits Scrofanok knocking him down_ Scrofanok: Hey! You stupid bird! _Primal notices now that there is nothing in the pod_ Optimus Primal: The protoform has been activated._He says to Rattleox_ Open fire. _ A full on fire fight erupts however the Maximals are pinned down because they are outnumbered. Two air-to-ground missiles are shot landing a direct hit on the Predacons._ Retrax: Where are the shots coming from? _They then notice Airazor flying above them_

Part 5 1:5 _The Battle between the Maximals and Predacons continues_ Retrax: Megatoran Look! _Pointing out Airazor_ Megatoran: NO! I will not be defeated again! _Back at the Darksyde Dynobot and Terrorsoar continue to battle exchanging blow for blow_ Dynobot: You are a formidable opponent. Terrorsoar: Formidable? I am a far better warrior than you. _Caught monologing, Dynobot is able to land a solid punch on Terrorsoar. Using his eye lasers he blasts open the prison holding door and escapes. As he’s attempting to escape he crosses paths with Injector._ Injector: DYNOBOT?! _Back at the pod the Predacons reassess their current position_ Scrofanok: Perhaps we should call for back up? Megatoran: Megatoran to Injector?...<Schhhlllkk> Terrorsoar? <Schhhlllkk> SPINDULAS?! OHH! Incompetence and treachery! Predacons retreat! _ As the Predacons retreat from battle, Airazor lands. Rattleox and Optimus Primal approach her._ Optimus Primal: Ah, Airazor thanks for the backup. Airazor: What’s has happened? Rattleox: We were told by the high council to track down Megatron. He stole the Golden Disc and was hoping to reinforce the Decepticons, during the Great War. Airazor: This doesn’t look like Earth? Optimus Primal: We don’t know where or when it is. He went through a transwarp portal. Rattleox: Meaning we could be anyplace …at anytime. Optimus Primal: Unfortunately, this planet has huge amounts of energon. So if Megatoran is able to harvest it uncontested he’ll amass a huge Predacon army. So for now were the only ones that can stop him.
Dum DUm Dum!!!! If Megatoran was only smart enough to harvest all the energon without the interference of the Maximals. But something tells me this isn't over yet
Chapter 2: Part 1 2:1 _Scrofanok, Injector, and Retrax are all mining small energon crystals in Predacon territory_ Scrofanok: Retrax! Move those energon crystals and prepare them for transport. Retrax: Ya, I heard ya last time. Scrofanok: What was that?! I am your commanding officer ya know?! Retrax: Hmmf. Megatoran:<Scrofanok were you able to find the energon?> Scrofanok: Yes Sir, the mission was a complete success! Megatoran:<Excellent>. _Airazor is flying about the landscape scouting the area for a suitable location for a communication tower_ Optimus Primal: <See any good location for that Tower?> Airazor: Plenty, Rattleox just needs to complete the tower and we can set up. Optimus Primal: <Great work. Why don’t you head back to base.> _Rattleox is working on the finishing touches on the communication tower hard drive_ Rattleox: Almost done. She can probably show us the location as soon as she gets back. _Poggletrap enters the room_ Poggletrap: I'm getting the impression that we are ganna be here a while…. Optimus Primal: Honestly, I don’t know Poggletrap, but I’d rather have this tower and not need it than need it and not have it. Rattleox: We need to make the best of the situation. Megatoran will be trying to get every advantage he can, we might as well do the same. Poggletrap: Well, I ain't unpacking my bags. _Inside his lair Spindulas begins to contemplate the importance of discovering the G1 Transformers. Looking at the archived photos of earth, it's inhabitants, as well as photos from the Great War_ _At a desert region the Maximals begin to assemble the communication tower. Upon it's near completion Poggletrap’s scanner picks up something closing in on he, Optimus Primal, Gryketor and Airazor from all sides._ Poggletrap: < Life forms detected> Oh great now what?! You guys reading this too? Optimus Primal: Defensive positions! Poggletrap: < 3 nano-kliks…2 nano-kliks…1 nano-klik> Gryketor: Where are they..? _ A huge explosion from underground completely destroys the communication tower as Gryketor and Optimus are buried. Poggletrap is launched off to the side and Airazor transforms and safely flies above the explosion._ _ Back at the Axalon Rattleox hears the explosion over Primal’s open comm. link and asks for a report._ Rattleox: Primal? What's happening <scccchhikk>…Gryketor?<Sccchhikk> Airazor: < Airazor to Rattleox> Rattleox: What’s happening? Airazor: I’m…I’m..not sure.
