Interesting the interactions and battles are different,like a new fresh feel to it,I love it.

 

We have an impostor named Overload joining RID. I have spoiled myself and everyone on what a proper portrayal should be. Darn fakers. Anyway here is part 3: A Losing Battle


Four hours have past and the battle has gone from a stalemate to slightly in the Decepticon’s favor. The ghosts have been watching the whole thing. No matter how many times Overclock snipes those drones more just take their place. Proxima is now the only one working in the electric field. The defenses are starting to fail due to a joint effort by the Seekers and Coneheads. The Wrecker trio, Wheeljack, Ultra Magnus, and Springer are all standing on a rooftop getting ready for what might be their final battle.

Magnus: “Wreckers, this may be our last stand.”

Road: “We’re ready.”

Leadfoot: “Let’s hurt em good.”

Springer: “Stay safe and take some risks at the same time.”

Magnus: “That’s counterproductive.”

Springer: “And that’s what makes it so good.”

Topspin: “Are we just going to sit around talking or are we going down there to fight?”

Magnus: “Topspin is right. Wreckers, attack!”

The six Wreckers jumps down for battle. They each go their separate ways. Roadbuster makes the first strike with his rockets to blow the Insecticon drones out of the sky. Leafoots bashes through as many as he can with his mace. Topspin’s magnets makes the drones collide with one another. Wheeljack is slicing through droves and shoots as many down as he can. He has no idea that despite all of his speed he is still a sitting duck. Someone snipes him in the chest, and Wheeljack’s lights flash red in pain.

Wheel: “That hurt. Good thing it was just a bullet.”

This Jinx would be his last. The bullet starts beeping in a way that is all too familiar to him, and a chunk of his chest explodes off. Wheeljack is alive but barely. He crawls over to a bunker in an attempt to nurse some of his injuries. Going back to the sniper it is none other than Splicer.

Splicer: “I told you’d I’d get you next time.”

Splicer has keep his grudge against Wheeljack since Beginnings. Now his revenge is complete. Wheeljack succumbs to his injuries and dies. Meanwhile Arcee is driving along when out of the alleys Deadheat runs into her from the side.

Deadheat: “Oh yeah! You’re going to to get wrecked, Arcee. You want to know why? Because his name is Deadheat!”

Arcee: “Do you ever shut up?”

Deadheat: “I will be the one that makes you shut up!”

Arcee puts away her sword because she believes she can take him. She isn’t wrong, but he isn’t completely thick-headed. Deadheat aggressively attacks with his armblades. Acree blocks each attack easily, and when he tries an overhead slash Arcee ducks down and makes a small stab in his lower chest. Deadheat grunts, but not quite as much as Arcee would have hoped. It seems to have upset him more than hurt him. Deadhead grabs Arcee and charges her through a wall. He loses his grip of her as they both fall over.

Arcee: “You’re a lot tougher than I thought.”

Deadheat: I suplex dudes as a career. You think a puny stab wound is going to stop me? I’m bringing the heat, the Deadheat!”

Acree decides it’s sword time and jumps over Deadheat after he does a double slash. While landing Arcee slashes her swords right down the left and right sides of Deadheat’s back. That hurt him well enough for him to retreat afterward.

Acree: “Wrestling is fake anyway.”

Ultra Magnus has been busy destroying the drones by himself. The time has come where he unveils his signature weapon, the Magnus Hammer. A powerful warhammer able to go against even the strongest metals. The three Insecticons seem to want to test their strength against his.

Shrapnel: “Autobots should never be alone alone.”

Kickback: “Bad things can happen.”

Bomb: “Especially to second-in-commands.”

Magnus: “I think you’ll find me suitable enough to take you.”

Bomb: “Only one way to find out.”

Shrapnel: “The hard way!”

Magnus: “It’s your funeral.”

Bombshell makes the first move by transforming and firing explosive shell straight towards him. Ultra Magnus swings the hammer into the shell and it explodes. The hammer takes no damage.

Kickback: “That’s new.”

Kickback fires his gears into him, and one of them gets Ultra Magnus right in the chest. He didn’t even attempt to dodge it. He just stood there and took it. Shrapnel transforms and tries to bite his head off with his mandibles, but Ultra Magnus knocks him away. Kickback gets in and kicks Magnus with his hind legs. It doesn’t knock him down, but it does make him slide back. Bombshell tackles Ultra Magnus and Kickback kicks the hammer out of his hands. Ultra Magnus easily overpowers Bombshell and slams him down on Kickback. Shrapnel zaps him from behind. Ultra Magnus powers through it and throws Shrapnel into a wall. He fires a missile into the wall while he is still attached to it, and it severely damages the Insecticon. Kickback fires more gears into Ultra Magnus. He shrugs it off and tears one of the gears off his shoulder. He catches Kickback off guard by throwing it at him. His whole lower torso is sliced off. Ultra Magnus picks the top half of him up and throws him into the moat. Bombshell is behind Ultra Magnus and fires an explosive round into his back. Ultra Magnus gets up but is unable to defend against Bombshell sapping his Energon thanks to the Harvester. Bombshell even gets the hammer and beats Ultra Magnus down. Bombshell doesn’t realize that underneath that stoic demeanor lies a raging beast. Ultra magnus breaks through the pain and disarms Bombshell by breaking his arm. He proceeds to break both of Bombshell’s legs and throws him into the moat. All of them and Waspinator’s head discuss what they should do next.

Kickback: “So I was thinking something.”

Bomb: “And that would be?”

Kickback: “Well we have all the drones doing the work, so why should we do anything?”

Shrapnel: “Maybe we should hide out and let everyone take the hits for us.”

Bomb: “A brilliant plan. Let’s do it.”

Wasp: “Yes, and maybe you can help Waspinator get his head back.”

The three leave him.

Wasp: “Or Waspinator can suffer. That’s fine.”

Kup, Hot Rod, and Blurr are working together to defend the north gates when Astrotrain, Rampage, and Hightower stop by for a visit. Rampage manages to shoot Blurr down when he is distracted. He grabs him with his treads and crushes him a little bit.

Rampage: “Are you ready, Hightower?”

High: “Oh I’ve been waiting for this!”

Rampage tosses Blurr in the air and Hightower swings his wrecking ball into him. Blurr is sent far away into the city and into a garbage chute.

High: “I finally did something in my worthless life.”

Astro: “Nice work.”

Rampage: “I believe these other Autobots are in need of slaughtering.”

High: “I’ll get it over with quickly.”

Hightower rolls towards them, but Hot Rod fires two arrows into both of Hightower’s treads. they are impact arrows like before and make explosions that are good enough to break the reads. Hightower rolls and crashes into a wall.

High: “Well this is just embarrassing.”

Rampage: “I will handle this filth.”

Kup: “Look who’s calling who ugly.”

Rampage: “A foolish old man that smells like cigars and vomit.”

Kup smells himself just to make sure.

Kup: “Well he’s not wrong.”

Rod: “Let me help you.”

Kup: “I won’t be needing it.”

Astro: “Your funeral.”

Kup pulls out a hatchet and throws it into Astrotrain’s knee. It forces him down and he looks up and sees Kup jump and punch him in the chin to incapacitate him. Rampage makes his attack, but Kup slides down and uppercuts him. Rampage staggers back and tries a double strike, but Kup jumps and knees him the face. and blasts him in the chest with his shotgun. Rampage becomes his jumping form and bounce behind Kup to kick him in the back. While Kup tries to recover Astrotrain shoots a direct shot that goes through his chest. Kup is bleeding, and Rampage slams him into a wall.

Rod: “Let me help you.”

Kup: “I don’t need it.”

Kup still has a cigar in his mouth, and he spits in in Rampage’s face. It explodes and dazes Rampage. Kup shoots him in his hind legs to knock him down, and defeats him by slamming his head into the wall. Astrotrain shoots him in the back, and Astrotrain gets disarmed by Hot Rod firing an arrow into his gun.

Kup: “Alright, I might need a little help. Just don’t tell anyone about this.”

Rod: ‘deal.”

Astro: “You really think that dinky thing can hurt me?”

Rod: “Only one way to find out.”

Hot Rod in incredible speed fires an arrow through Astrotrain’s stomach. It makes a clean exit out of him, and now Astrotrain is bleeding a lot. Remember that because it will be important later.

Astro: “Son of a bitch! I’m out of here!”

Astrotrain drives off as a train and Kup clutches his stomach and sits down behind a pile of rubble.

Kup: “Get me a cigar.”

Rod: “But you’re bleeding.”

Kup slaps Hot Rod.”

Kup: “I said get me that damn cigar!”

Hot Rod gives Kup a new cigar, and he lights it besides still bleeding out.

Skywarp flies down and starts shooting them.”

Rod: “I’ll handle this.”

Kup: “You’re funny, kid.”

Kup gets up still bleeding and smoking his cigar. He pulls out his triple gatling gun and fires in the building next to Skywarp He shoots Skywarp up as well, and then returning to the building he damages it enough where the debris begins to fall on him.

Skywarp: “No!”

Skywarp is crushed under the rubble but still alive. Elsewhere the Wrecker trio are doing what they do best when they find Megatron and Soundwave standing in their path.

Road: “This isn’t good.”

Megatron: “You can handle this.”

Soundwave: “And what of Ultra Magnus?”

Megatron: “He is of no consequence. He may be stronger than Optimus, but he never was a quick thinker like him. Soundwave, try not to take too long with these pawns alright?”

Soundwave: “Confirmed.”

Megatron flies off in search of Ultra Magnus, and that leaves Soundwave and the trio alone.

Leadfoot: “Going to call your minions to do your dirty work because you have no skill?”

Soundwave pauses and decides to not call them. Instead he unleashes tentacles and his blades from Beginnings.

Topspin: “You just had to open your mouth.”

Leadfoot: “Errors have been made.”

Soundwave: “Would you look at that. It appears you’ve activated your self-destruct programming.”

Road: “Over our dead bodies.”

Soundwave: “That’s the plan.”

Roadbuster fires his rockets, but Soundwave’s tractor beams catch them all. He directs them at the trio. They get out of the way, and Leadfoot fires every bullet at him. Soundwave defects them all with his blades. Topspin’s magnets attach them to Soundwave and pulls him close enough to kick Soundwave in the back. Soundwave’s tentacle wraps around Topspin and tazes him. Leadfoots comes with his mace down, but Soundwave blasts him back. Soundwave slashes at Roadbuster, but he bend over backwards to avoid getting hit. Topspin breaks free from the tentacles and fires his bullets at Soundwave. They all collectively fire at Soundwave, and at first it looks like it might be a repeat if his defeat in Beginnings. Soundwave however does not allow himself to make an error such as this twice. Soundwave blasts them all back with the power of his ultrasonics. Roadbuster is grabbed by the leg via tractor beams and thrown straight through a wall. Topspin is face planted through the floor, and Leadfoot is all that remains to oppose him. He tries to hit Soundwave with his mace, but Soundwave smacks it away.Leadfoot attempts to run, but Soundwave shoots him in the leg and fires a nearly full power blast of the Sonic Cannon straight through his stomach. Soundwave just walks away not even bothering with Leadfoot because he is in a poor condition.

Elsewhere Springer is able to repress the Decepticon forces when suddenly Thundercracker bombards the area. Springer manages to dodge his fire and shoots back. Thundercracker dodges and lands near Springer.

Thunder: “Well well well. I was wondering where I would find you.”

Springer: “I admit it, I’m the worst Waldo in history.”

Thunder: “And now I’m going to chop you up into pieces.”

Springer looks around before bursting out with laughter.

Thunder: “What are you laughing at?”

Springer: “You.”

Thunder: “Why?”

Springer: “Um have you met me? I’m me. I’m a big deal. I don’t lose to amateurs.”

Thunder: “Oh really? Then let’s see what happens!”

Thundercracker thrusts his sword at Springer’s head. He tilts it to the side only slightly. Thundercracker gets angry and tries to cut his head off. Springer ducks down and spins around to punch Thundercracker in the face with his free hand.

Springer: “I don’t know what’s worse, your skill or your breath.”

Thunder: “Shut up!”

Thundercracker tries to charge him but misses.

Springer: “Definitely the breath.”

Thundercracker hacks down, but Springer effortlessly blocks the attack with his sword and yawns. Thundercracker presses on the attack, but every strike is parried, and the last one is countered by Springer thumping his head with the hilt of the sword. Thundercracker tries to punch him, but Springer cuts his arm, and thrust the sword straight through Thundercracker’s stomach. He falls down bleeding and clutching his stomach.

Springer: “Honestly I think I can speak for everyone when I say that nobody will miss you.”

Springer jams his sword down to finish Thundercracker once and for all, but he fires a missile into his chest to knocks him back. The thrustors on his back propel him back to escape, but he is on the edge of death. Arcee comes to help Springer up.

Arcee: “Glad to see someone you can take on your own.”

Springer: “You cruel words pain me.”

Springer’s warrior senses detect a problem. He gets Arcee to the ground, and in the process three green crystal shards stick themselves in his back. Splicer fired the shots.

Arcee: “You saved me.”

Springer: “It’s what I do.”

Arcee: -smiling- “And humble too.”

Springer: “Better get moving. I’ll handle this one.”

Arcee drives off to leave Splicer and Springer to their inevitable battle.

Springer: “Nice shot there, junior. Looks like I’ll have to put in an effort on this one.”

Splicer: “Best of luck, but you won’t survive.”

Springer: “I got better things to do tonight than die, but it’s going to be one heck of a fight.”

Splicer: “You sure got that last part right.”

Springer fires the pods at Splicer, but he shoots them all with his shards and they explode. Springer humps and flip with a slash that Splicer blocks. Springer presses the attack and sparks fly with the metals, and it gets it Splicer’s eyes to temporarily blind him. Springer kicks Splicer down. He tries to stab him, but Splicer rolls back and shoots the knives. Springer deflects as many as he can, but it’s virtually impossible to avoid them all. A few stragglers scratch his legs and shoulders. Splicer fires the triple sniper grenades. Springer leaps back to avoid the explosion, but Splicer blazes through the smoke with a jumping side spinning attack. Springer ducks and does an upward slash to breaks through Splicer’s defenses. He fires a missile pod into his chest to blast him back. Splicer recovers and fires the shards. Springer responds by firing missiles. Splicer humps off of the missiles to close the gap and does a dropkick to attack. Springer spins around and slashes, but Splicer ducks and slashes Springer in the side. Springer brings out a shield and smashes it down on Splicer’s head. He bashes him back, and Splicer leaps off the shield with a backflip. Springer transforms into an armored car and runs Splicer over. He turns around to hit him again, but Splicer jumps over and fires some shards into his front right tire. The tire pops, and Splicer fires his grenades into the front of the car. It explodes and damages Springer, forcing to transform back. Now they both jump up and attack each other. They land and Splicer has a large diagonal gash on his back, and Springer’s chest has three punctures from Splicer’s blades.

Springer: (panting) “Well what do you know, we’re evenly matched.”

Splicer: “You should be proud. Only Mirage has been able to push me this far.”

Springer: “We can’t do this forever.”

Splicer: “True, which is why I’m ending this-”

Blurr comes in and takes him out. he helps Springer escape as well.

Springer: “Not bad, Blurr.”

Blurr: “Always happy to help always!”

Springer: “Seen tall, blue, and stiff?”

Blurr: “No idea! I think he’s in danger.”

Springer: “He can take care of himself as long as Megatron isn’t involved.”

Ultra Magnus is found by Megatron, and he shoots where he drives to make him crash. The now landing Megatron is ready to have a nice family reunion.

“After all these years you still are just as disappointing, Ultra Magnus.”

“You still want to kill everyone in your way. You’ve lost yourself.”

“You are one to talk, brother. The look on your face implies that you have blood on your hands. The question is who’s?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Fine, act aloof. I don’t care. What is going to happen is that you’re going to die.”

“Then you’re going to be sorely disappointed.”

“I doubt that.”

Ultra Magnus fire a giant missile at Megatron. He shoots it and it explodes. Ultra Magnus ;eaps through the smoke smashing his hammer down on Megatron. Megatron catches it in his hands and and is pushed back a few steps.

“Even after all this time you still resent him. I would think that time would have tamed your soul.”

“Maybe it has.”

“You carry grudges far longer than I do, and that is saying something.”

“Enough! I will stop you!”

Ultra Magnus overpowers Megatron and hits him square in the chest with the hammer. He bounces across the floor fives times before sinking his fists into the ground to stop himself. Megatron fires at Ultra Magnus, but he evades all the shots before firing back. Megatron transforms and flies into Ultra Magnus. Their fight takes to the skies as Ultra Magnus continually shoots the top of Megatron. Megatron tilts to the side to make Ultra Magnus crash through one of the towers. Despite this he is still hanging on. Ultra Magnus grabs the front of the jet and forces it up into the top of a tower. Megatron flies through it and they both are blasted out into the sky. Megatron has forcibly transformed back to a robot and is uncontrollably flipping down from such a high point with Ultra Magnus. Ultra Magnus recovers and smashes the hammer down on Megatron’s head. he is head hard enough that he crashes down at a velocity high enough to make an explosion. Ultra Magnus breaks his fall by busting through a nearby tower, landing, and then jumping out to confront Megatron. Megatron comes out guns blazing, and Ultra Magnus leaps to attack. He tackles Megatron, but Megatron somersaults to regain the advantage. Ultra Magnus is rolled on top of Megatron where his legs propel him to hitting a wall. Ultra Magnus starts to get up but Megatron’s Fusion Cannon hits him in the chest and blasts him straight out of the wall. Ultra Magnus recovers but is unable to defend against Megatron kneeing him him the chest. He attempts to retaliate with the hammer, but Megatron stabs him in the elbow to drop it. Megatron takes the hammer and hits Ultra Magnus in the face with it. He tosses it aside and exchanges punches with Ultra Magnus. The Wrecker leader has a strong start that dissipates with each subsequent blow. Megatron grabs him by the neck and slams him on the ground to finish the fight.

Megatron: “How disappointing, Ultra Magnus. Optimus would have lasted at least three times as long as you.”

Megatron would have shot Ultra Magnus in the face. Blurr steps in and places smoke bombs in front of Megatron. In the confusion he safely evacuates Ultra magnus from the battle.

Magnus: “Thank you, Blurr. I shudder to think what might have happened had you not intervened.”

Blurr: “That’s a scary thought, sir!”

Magnus: “Agreed.”

Megatron is not too worried about the situation. Two hours later the Autobot resistance is all but destroyed. Megatron now wants to end this battle once and for all.

Megatron: “Constructicons, merge for the kill!”

Mix: “You heard the man! Constructicons, do the thing!”

They form Devastator, who immediately attacks the last few defenses. The Insecticon drones are halted to let him progress. All hope seems to be lost, and all of Overclock’s shots do nothing to stop him. Off in the distance a noise catches his attention. An Autobot vessel is approaching the city. Overclock uses the scope to see who is inside. A brand new Autobot is piloting it, and the other passengers are none other than Optimus Prime and the Dinobots. Perhaps now there may be hope after all.

 

Well it continues to be crazy all right.

Seems like the battle's going bad for the Autobots. Nice to see more of Ultra Magnus in action.

 

And just like that Wheeljack's gone. Kind of weak on that part. And now the two big classic battles begin. Hopefully the Dinobots get their asses handed to them like in the movie.

 

  Wheeljack, Arcee's fight was pretty cool and I didn't expect the Springer vs. Splicer fight to end like that.

shaped heart. Here is part 4: The Final Confrontation

Starscream and the Coneheads having been hiding in a small room after their initial attack. With all four of them inside they are packed like sardines, and it has reached its breaking point.

Scream: “Get your foot out of my face, Thrust!”

Thrust: “Get your face away from my foot!”

Ramjet: “Get your ass out of my ass!”

Thrust: “Is that even possible?”

Ramjet: “Look I got experimental, and yes it is. Don’t make the same mistake I did.”

Dirge: “I have a wonderful idea. How about you all leave this room so I can be safe?”

Scream: “Excellent idea. Now get out.”

Dirge: “What? Never!”

Ramjet: “There is only one solution to this. Ultra violence!”

The four fight in the cramped room for dominance. Thrust unsurprisingly is the first one out within ten seconds of the fight starting. He falls face first to the ground below. Ramjet kicks Starscream back and throws Dirge out the door. Starscream and Ramjet roll around a bit before he finally blasts Ramjet out through the side. He falls to the floor but manages to land on his feet.

Ramjet: “What a jerk!”

Meanwhile Deadheat is driving around when he sees the ship landing in the distance. He stops and sniffs before screaming.

Deadhead: “It’s him!”

Astro: “Who?”

Deadheat: “Optimus Prime, and he’s not alone!”

Thrust: “Are you sure you’re not imagining things?”

Deadheat: “I know it’s him, and now it’s my chance!”

Deadheat drives off to fight Optimus. Optimus and the others exit out to see Devastator attacking the city. The new Autobot steps out as well. His name is Alpha Bravo. He is the Aerialbot’s new replacement for Airraid.

Prime: “Dinobots, Alpha Bravo, defeat Devastator.”

Grimlock: “You got it.”

Alpha: “We’ll make sure it’s done in style chief.”

Prime: “Before I face Megatron I just wanted to welcome you into the Aerialbots, Alpha Bravo.”

Alpha: “Thank you. It’s an honor to be fighting alongside you, being part of the best combiner team, and looking good while doing it. I found the best job ever.”

Swoop: “Alright, slick, let’s take flight.”

Alpha Bravo transforms into a military assault helicopter and flies off with Swoop. The other Dinobots charge in behind them. Alpha Bravo opens by firing dozens of powerful missiles into Devastator’s back. Splicer and Soundwave fire back at Alpha Bravo, but Swoop covers him and blasts them with fireballs. Slag and Grimlock arrive at the scene with Sludge not too far behind. Devastator turns around and tries to attack Slag, but he runs out of the way before Devastator smashes him with his fist. Sludge arrives and makes an earthquake to knock him off balance. Despite the distraction he still manages to knock Swoop aside and fires rockets into Sludge. Slag fires his tri-horn laser and Grimlock spews fire to distract him. Perceptor and Proxima both prepare to combine their ultimate weapons. They transform and fire their cannons, and they both pierce through Devastator’s body. Devastator falls, but the Constructicons instantly recover and attack the Autobots with Soundwave and Splicer’s help. Mixmaster shoots Grimlock down, and Hightower swings Slag around and throws him into Swoop. Alpha Bravo transforms and fires a cluster of missiles at them that eject from his forearms. The explosions are so magnificent that Bay himself would have been proud.

Proxima: “Take that you giant clod!”

Alpha: “The only thing I love more than blowing up Decepticons is watching that smoke rise!”

Optimus knows that he can’t hold back anything anymore. All this time something has intervened with him finishing him off be it another party or his own reluctance to kill off a member of his own family. Optimus’s biggest weakness isn’t his pride, but his unyielding hope of Megatron coming to a realization of his actions. The mere hope of him wanting to make amends has given Optimus too much trouble. Whatever glimmers of hope he had in the past fifteen years seems to be lost. Now isn’t the time to looks for miracles, it’s time for one to finally die. While arriving to the city he runs afoul of Thrust, and he is unaware of what will happen. Thrust turns around just to see his reflection in Optimus’s grill. He gets run over and moans with his head in the dirt. Dirge and Ramjet see him approaching and begin firing.

Dirge: “Stop this hooligan!”

Their shots hit Optimus, but it does nothing to stop him. He jumps up and shoots them both down. While falling he takes down Astrotrain as well. This doesn’t seem to bother the four because they all dogpile Optimus. Optimus rears his head back into Astrotrain to knock him out. Dirge is swatted into a wall where he retreats, and Ramjet is face planted. He turns around to see Thrust pause for a moment. He sees his battered buddies and runs away screaming with his hands thrown up in the air. Optimus walks the smoking streets until Deadheat shows up atop of one of the roofs to announce his presence.

Deadheat: (bellowing) “Optimus Prime your time has come to an end! I, Deadheat, will run you into the ground because it is my destiny to defeat you! My ratings will be so high a bird wishes it could reach those heights. It’s time to die, and I’ll do it by-”

Optimus doesn’t even look at Deadheat, so he cuts off his speech by blowing his head clean off. The rest of Deadheat’s body falls to the floor. In the heart of the city he arrives with Megatron waiting for him. Starscream is watching from the tower, Blaster is watching from his, and Hot Rod, Kup, Springer, and Arcee are there as well. The ghosts have found their way to watch the fight as well.

Megatron: “It took you long enough.”

Prime: “Look at what you’ve done, Megatron.”

Megatron: “None of this would have happened if you had just surrendered.”

Dirge appears and tries one last time to attack Optimus, but he shoots him down.

Prime: “All of this death is on you and your men. All I wanted for us was peace, equality.”

Megatron: “What you want is impossible! All Decepticons’ fates were sealed since the Bronze Age. All we have been are scapegoats and second class citizens. Now it is our time to finish what we started and become the rightful ruler.”

Prime: “I won’t let you kill one group of people so yours can survive.”

Megatron: “I already have.”

What will be Megatron and Optimus’s final battle begins. Optimus jumps and divebombs Megatron with ferocious speed. They roll around and Megatron gains momentum and slams Optimus on the ground. Optimus kicks him in the face to knock him back. Optimus gets up and stabs him in the shoulder. He pins Megatron to the wall, making it it difficult for him to fight back. Megatron shoves Optimus down and he pulls out the blade. He throws the sword at Optimus, but he catches it and throws it back into Megatron’s clavicle. Megatron tears it out and slashes at Optimus. He slashes three times until finally it cuts him on the left cheek. Optimus ducks the next slash and shoots Megatron in the knee to bring him down. He uppercuts Megatron and pins him to the ground. Megatron headbutts Optimus and grabs his face. He throws him into a wall where he is dazed. Megatron runs Optimus’s head through the wall and starts kicking him while he’s defenseless. Optimus kicks Megatron like a mule to knock him down, and he frees himself from the hole. Megatron swipes at Optimus, and he blocks it. He responds with a haymaker and stabs Megatron in the lower stomach. Megatron grabs Optimus in the back of the head and connects it to his knee. Optimus is cut across the chest and blasted back. Optimus regains balance and shoots at Megatron while he charges at him. Only half of his shots land, and Optimus is violently tackled. Megatron throws Optimus up in the air, and he jumps up to slam his fists down on his enemy’s head. Megatron lands and grabs two pieces of rubble and clasps them together on the sides of Optimus’s head. Megatron punches him down, and he tries to step on him. Optimus rolls out of the way and stabs Megatron in the knee. Megatron returns the favor and stabs him in the left thigh. Megatron grabs him by the leg and slams him on the ground. Optimus breaks free by kicking him in the head repeatedly to get him to let go. Megatron shoots him in the leg, and then beats down on him. What little strength Optimus has is being using in a hand lock with Megatron. Megatron is winning the struggle, inching his blade closer to Optimus’s face. Optimus starts pushing back and overpowers him. He punches Megatron in the face three time and throws him into a wall. Megatron gets up and fires the Fusion Cannon. Optimus rolls to dodge and fires a bullet straight into the cannon. It explodes and severely damages Megatron’s arm. Now with the new advantage Optimus lays punch after punch on Megatron. He’s shot and then blasted into a pile of rubble. It seems like he finally has Megatron where he wants him.

Kup: “Prime finally did it.”

Springer: “Looks like we got ourselves a victory.”

Megatron is panting on his knees, and seems to be accepting of his defeat. However that soon fades when he sees a gun sticking out where nobody else can see him. A plan immediately brews.

Megatron: “No more, Optimus! I surrender!”

Prime: “You have been without mercy since you began this war, and now you plead for it? I always knew you were a coward.”

Megatron: “Just arrest me, I will stand trial.”

Prime: “I cannot do that. The only way to end this is to kill you.”

Megatron: “My thoughts exactly.”

Hot Rod sees Megatron starting to take out the gun, and he has to think fast. He fires an arrow into Megatron’s back. He grunts in pain, turns around, and shoots at where Hot Rod is. Where he was standing is destroyed, and Hot Rod tumbles down to the pit with them. Megatron grabs Hot Rod by the neck, forcing Optimus in a terrible position.

Megatron: “Don’t look so surprised, Optimus. We both will do anything to win, and I simply brought fate into my own hands. So what will it be? Kill me at the cost of this archer, or lower your weapons to save his life?”

Rod: (choking) “Don’t do it!”

Optimus sighs and lowers his weapons. With the gun still in his hand he shoots Optimus six times straight through the chest. There are large holes throughout his body, and it’s a miracle that he isn’t dead from all this. Megatron walks over to Optimus and has the gun on his forehead.

Megatron: “Who would have ever guessed a young hero’s rookie mistake would be your demise? Honestly I think this is still too good for you.”

Megatron doesn’t realize that one of Hot Rod’s arrows is beneath his feet. In a last ditch effort Hot Rod starts moving his leg out to it. Megatron would of pulled the trigger and ended Optimus right there, but Hot Rod’s foot touches the arrow, and he kicks it up to his hand. He jams the arrow into the side of Megatron’s neck, and makes him drop the gun and Hot Rod respectively. Optimus wastes no time and pulls out both brass knuckles. His first punch goes through the right side of Megatron’s stomach. The other makes a large dent in the left side of his face. Optimus finishes with one last uppercut that smashes Megatron’s chin. He falls three stories into the ground below. The battle is over with both too wounded to continue, but Optimus is still standing. Starscream flies down to see Megatron’s condition Since it’s in a terrible state he kicks him while he’s down.

Scream: (mocking) “How do you feel mighty Megatron?”

Soundwave shoots him away, and picks up Megatron.

Megatron: (weakly) “Please don’t leave me, Soundwave.”

Soundwave: “That thought is inconceivable.”

Scream: “Decepticons, retreat!”

Brawl finally shows up after being unconscious in the lake for so long.

Brawl: “Hey guys what did I miss?”

Dirge: We’re leaving.”

Brawl: “Seriously?

Scream: “Astrotrain, hurry up!”

Astrotrain turns into his train from and opens up the back hatch. Most of the Decepticon cast has never traveled inside him before, and the mass displacement is throwing everyone off.

Dirge: “Is this even possible?”

Kickback: “I am tripping every single ball right now.”

All the Decepticons and a few Insecticon drones go inside Astrotrain. Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Megatron all had to be carried due to their extensive injuries.

Scream: “Astrotrain take off!”

Astro: “Don’t have to tell me twice, or at all really.”

Astrotrain drives off the edge and transforms into the shuttle to fly off and leave Earth.

Arcee: “They’re leaving!”

Blurr: “Thank goodness!”

Magnus: “But at what cost?”

Back at Optimus he watches Astrotrain fly off, and then that’s when he looks down and sees that he’s standing in a pile of his own blood. He collapses and continues to bleed out, and Hot Rod is the only one nearby to help.

(desperate) “Perceptor, Proxima, anybody! We need help!”

All he can do is wait in agony clutching the dying Optimus in his arms.

(broken) “I’m so sorry, Optimus….. this is all my fault.”

 

Well Deadheat's a goner. Also this is without question a more dramatic and emotional take on the iconic final confrontation of G1 Optimus and Megatron.

 

  this is really sad.

But man Deadheat was scrap from the beginning. Farewell

 

Well, that was a pretty awesome final battle between Optimus and Megatron.

 

1)I don't know why but the whole image of optimus interrupting deadheats speech by blowing his head off without even looking is a funny image
2)the final battle was surprisingly ferocious
3)nice reference to the fans pointing out how the cons fitting in astrotrain made no sense
4)um wow the scene where optimus is dying is hard to watch

 

Agreed.

I was guessing that Deadheat or one of the other new characters would go this chapter and that final fight was pretty emotional.

 

And thus the modern take an iconic fight.

 

Pulling on your heartstrings in a new way. Here is part 5: The Loss of a Legend.

An hour after the battle things have fallen silent. All of the no-names are picking up rubble and tending to the wounded. The cost was heavy as many Autobots died, including ones that were well known. Wheeljack and Blazemaster of course died in the battle, but another casualty has been added to the list. Roadbuster and Topspin walk out of the street, but they are carrying something, or rather someone. It’s Leadfoot. He didn’t survive that final attack from Soundwave. They lay his body on a matt. Meanwhile Alpha Bravo and Overclock are checking out the wreckage of the ship that the Decepticons arrived in. They find the bodies of the four killed Autobots, and exchange a look of anguish. They along with the two Wreckers enter a bunker where they see Optimus is laid out on a table. Everyone is there including Daniel.

Road: “How is he?”

Daniel is crying and hugging Arcee by the leg. She puts her arms around him in an attempt to comfort him, but it doesn’t seem to be doing any good.

Perce: “I fear the wounds are…..fatal.”

Topspin: “No…..”

Springer: “And after everything he’s gone through.”

Clock: “This is a bummer.”

Proxima: “It’s even worse in the long run.”

Blaster: “How long does he have?”

Perce: “The damage to his spark chamber is so severe that it has nearly fallen apart. He can go at any minute. If you have something to say to him now is the time.”

Alpha Bravo and Overclock step up first.

Alpha: “Even though I only knew your personally for a short time I feel connected to you. I hope the next life treats you better than this one.”

Clock: “I respect everything you’ve done for us. You’re an inspiration to us all.”

Optimus weakly smiles.

Roadbuster and Topspin are next to say their goodbyes.

Topspin: “It’s too soon Optimus. We still have so much fun to have together.”

Road: “And if Leadfoot were still here with us he would tell you all about the people we pounded. What we’re trying to say is we’ll miss you.”

Prime: “And I too will miss you both.”

Perceptor, Proxima, Blaster, and his Minicons step up to speak.

Blaster: “I hate seeing you like this, chief. You’re too good to go out like this.”

Prime: “You must be strong, Blaster. There is still a life worth fighting for.”

Perce: “It should be me on that table, not you.”

Prime: “You did everything you could to save me. For that I am eternally grateful. You’ve done so much good, and your sister I am equally thankful for having.”

Proxima: “You’re making me blush.”

The Dinobots are next to see Optimus.

Sludge: “Me Sludge feeling emotions.”

Slag: “Me Slag feel this way too.”

Swoop: “You can’t go like this. It’s all wrong.”

Grimlock: “What am I supposed to do without you? We’re lost…..I’m lost.”

Prime: “Grimlock, you are one of the strongest people I’ve ever met. If anyone can move on from this it’s you. Please, just take care of everyone.”

Grimlock: “I will defend it with my life.”

Arcee, Kup, Daniel, Blurr, and Springer come to say their last words to him.

Prime: “Be strong, Daniel. Not just for yourself, but for your friends. I know you will come into your own.”

Arcee: “There is so much I want to say, but I can’t think of what is right.”

Prime: “It’s alright. I know how you feel.”

Blurr: “We’ll miss you.”

Kup: “It won’t be the same.”

Springer: “You’ve always done the right thing. I wish I was even one percent as good as you.”

Last and certainly not least Hot Rod and Ultra Magnus have their parting words. Hot Rod goes up to state all of his apologies.

Rod: “Optimus, this is all my fault. If i hadn’t intervered you would still be alive. Please forgive me.”

Prime: “You did nothing wrong, Hot Rod. You saw that I was in danger and acted appropriately. What you did was brave, and if roles were reversed I would have done the same.”

Rod: “I… I don’t know what to say.”

Prime: “Take care of yourself, Hot Rod. If anyone says you can’t do it don’t believe them I have faith in you.”

Magnus: “Well I don’t know what to say to you… commander.”

Prime: “I know we’ve had our issues in the past, brother, but you are family none the less.”

Magnus: “You’re right, brother we are. I forgive you for everything. You did everything you could to save everyone. I will finish what you started.”

Prime: “Dion….there is one last thing I have to say.”

Magnus: “That is a name I have not heard for a very long time.”

Prime: “Take the Matrix. It calls out to someone in this room that is worthy to become the next Prime. I know it’s you. You have it in your blood. Lead us through the dark with your light…..until….until… all…..are ….one.”

Optimus has his last moments of life and dies peacefully from his wounds. Daniel can’t help but break down crying despite Arcee’s best efforts. Kup, Topspin, Springer, Roadbuster, and Ultra Magnus give him a military salute. Everyone else looks away with sad expressions, and Grimlock goes outside to get fresh air. Ultra Magnus gently opens up Optimus’s chest up to retrieve the Matrix, but it slips from his grasp. Before it hits the floor Hot Rod slides to catch it. The Matrix glows an elegant blue light upon contact with Hot Rod, but nobody thinks anything of it. He hands to Ultra Magnus, who puts it inside his chest.

Little did they know that Unicron senses the death of Optimus. His third eye slides through the inside caverns of his body until reaching the core where a screen watches Hot Rod hand the Matrix to Ultra magnus. The eye fixates on the Matrix, and then it gets angry. Red, piercing energy veins appear all around the dark abyss around the eye that make a sound similar to glass cracking. Unicron’s whole body surges with energy that explodes in a shockwave of pure rage.

Back on Earth Arcee still confronts Daniel until something catches the corner of her eye.

Arcee: “Daniel, can you move aside for a moment?”

Daniel: “Uh sure.”

Arcee pulls out the crossbow on her arm and fires in the corner of the war. Something fall to the floor.

Alpha: “What was that for?”

Arcee: “We’ve been watched this whole time?”

Blaster examines the tiny device.

Blaster: “I know this tech. This is one of Soundwave’s calling cards. He must have planted some of these while he was here.”

Proxima: “Then that means the Decepticons know Optimus dead.”

Road: “What a damn mess this day has become.”

Hot Rod leaves the room, and Kup and Springer follow as well.

Blaster: “So I have to ask who else we lost.”

Clock: “We lost Leadfoot, Blazemaster, Wheeljack in the battle.”

Alpha: “Ironhide, Ratchet, Evac, and Jolt were all killed on the ship.”

Clock: “Ironhide’s body has been destroyed. We can’t give him and Blazemaster a proper burial.”
Swoop: “Well it didn’t get any worse than that, so I guess we can be somewhat thankful.”

Perce: “Well, it’s time to tell all the Autobots on the moons.”

Blaster: “I’m on it.”

Outside Grimlock is sitting on the edge of one of the towers when Swoop flies up to check on him.

“You doing alright?”

“No.”

“I miss him too.”

“I know, but he was a special friend to me. He was to first person to see us Dinobots, especially me Grimlock as a living being with feelings. I wasn’t just some weapon to him. Now he’s gone.”

“It’s hard for all of us. We’ll make through it.”

“I hope so.”

Below Hot Rod looks to the sky, and Springer is behind him with Kup.

Rod: “Hey, Springer. It’s good to see you. I really need someone to talk to-”

Springer punches him right in the jaw, and it knocks him down.

Rod: “What was that for?”

Springer: (cold) “Why do you think? It’s your fault that Optimus is dead.”

Rod: “Springer…”

Springer: “You just had to play the hero didn’t you? You always hated having the spotlight taken away from you. You saw your opportunity to be the big savior and it cost Optimus his life. You’re the worst person I know. Optimus was too good of a person to see the faults in others, but I see it. Just stay away from me.”

Springer leaves, and Kup casually lights a cigar.

Rod: “Why didn’t you say anything?”

Kup: “It wasn’t any of my business.”

Rod: “I disagree.”

Kup: “Springer is just trying to cope in the best way he knows how. He’ll come around eventually. We all have different ways of dealing with loss.”

Rod: “How will you cope?”

Kup: “The same way I always do. Smoking, drinking, and beating on some poor innocent bastard like human football players beat their wives.”

Rod: “How colorful.”

The ghosts on the other hand are having a blast. They’re dancing, celebrating, and Fearswoop constantly blows the ghost party blower.

“He’s finally gone!”

“And dead too!”

“My killer has been killed, and Megatron has a clear shot!”

“YEAHHHHH…….huh.”

“What is it?”

“I guess I wasn’t as hyped for his death as I thought.”

“Strangely I feel the same way.”

“It’s almost as if watching both sides has made us care about them both.”

“And it’s such an new and unusual feeling for us.”

“I almost feel bad for the guy.”

“That was quite the overkill.”

“I mean look at how many holes he had. He became cheese!”

“Fearswoop, what’s happening to us?”

“I don’t know.”

Blaster sends the message out to all of the Autobots and their respective moons. A moment of silence is made from all of them. In honor or their fallen hero everyone creates a small light that flies into the sky. Millions upon millions are seen leaving each moon, creating a beautiful spectacle for all to see. Even the Decepticons on Cybertron do the same. Optimus may have been the leader of their enemies, but they still respected him enough and saw him as Megatron’s equal. Both Cybertron and the moons are a luminous display. After the show most Decepticons celebrate with their friends, but one Decepticon in particular is not enjoying this breaking news. Motormaster is having a nuclear meltdown over Optimus’s death. He is flipping tables blowing up everything, and killing random Decepticons. Swindle is hiding underneath some tables shaking in fear. Dead-end is perched on a balcony casually watching Motormaster and cutting himself in the process. Vortex and Dragstrip are attempting to calm him down, but that’s easier said than done. Vortex is the first to try his hand at easing his rage.

Vortex: “Now, Motormaster, I know you’ve had a rough day, but-”

Motormaster swats him aside.

Motor: “Out of my way!”

Dragstrip is next.

Drag: “C’mon, man! You shouldn’t be like this!”

Motormaster swings his sword, but Dragstrip whizzes behind him.

Drag: “Really? You know you can’t hit me.”

Motor: “Sorry if i don’t believe you!”

Motormaster keeps trying, but Dragstrip keeps avoiding each attack. With each subsequent attack Motormaster becomes less focused on Dragstrip and more on his own inner turmoil.

He drops his sword and just pounds on the ground with his fists. Tears flood his face as he yells out.

Motor: ‘“t was my destiny to destroy him! Now I am left with nothing!”

Vortex: (getting up) “Hey that’s not true.”

Motor: “Don’t try to ease me with your lies!”

Drag: “You still have some strong competition.”

Motor: “Whom is it you speak of?”

Vortex: “Well you still haven’t settled your score with Grimlock.”

Drag: “And I hear that Ultra Magnus is much more powerful than Optimus ever was.”

Motor: “I see. Very well, then. I shall make it my new mission to terminate them both.”

Vortex: “Glad to hear it, big guy.”

Motor: “Don’t push it.”

Swindle pokes his head out.

Swindle: Is it safe?”

Dead: “Yes, but I must continue to cause harm to myself.”

Drag: “Dude you’re weird.”

Motor: “When I finish them off I will kill Megatron for what he’s done. He’s taken the one thing I was built for in this world, and when the time comes there will be nobody alive that can save him.”

Drag: “Rock on.”

Swindle: “So now what?”

Dead: “We wait. I know that’s not your strong suit, Dragstrip.”

Drag: “Funny. By the way, Vortex, what is going on with your legs?”

Vortex: “It’s a great story, and I’ll tell you.”

In Shockwave’s tower they are working and hearing the news.

Knockout: “Well the big rig finally had his last fight. I almost feel bad.”

Shockwave: “He was a worthy foe. Now we must focus our efforts on Ultra Magnus and Grimlock. They are the only ones that pose a real threat to us.”

Knockout looks around the room. Something seems to be disturbing him.

Knockout: “Does anyone else feel like they’re being watched?”

A smooth and creepy voice echos through the room.

?: “That’s because you are.”

Someone is slithering through the lab. Knockout sighs in relief, but that feeling is quickly replaced with impatience.

Knockout: “Show yourself, Vertebreak.”

In the shadows emerges a robic snake man with three arms. He is Vertebreak, the newest
recruit to the scientific field. He changed his body into a serpent just to see if he could.

Vert: “You called?”

Knockout: “I didn’t have much of a choice.”

Vert: (slinking) “Oh relax, red. You should be used to this by now.”

Knockout: “If you mean looking like a circus act then no.”

Vertebreak breaks out in a shrill laughter, and then instantly stops.

Vert: “But I like scaring you, Knockout. It gives me such satisfaction.”

Knockout: “The only thing I’m scared of about you is your terrible paint job.”

Vert: “Cute.”

Shockwave: “That’s enough.”

Vert: “My apologies, Shockwave.”

Shock: “We have important work to do, Vertebreak. I assume your appointment is still on schedule?”

Vert: “Yes of course, Shockblast. I should be heading down to my lab to greet him.”

Knockout: “Aren’t you going to tell us his name?”

Vert: “Nothing came on record. It’s like he just appeared out of nowhere.”

Shock: ‘How strange.”

Shockwave: “We have no time to discuss these quandaries. The three of us have an important meeting to attend. Vertebreak, I trust that your operation will be a success?”

Vert: ‘If I could do it to myself I can do it to a stranger.”

Shockwave: “Very well. We will return to the tower as soon as possible.”

Vert: “Be sure to fill me in on all the details.”

Shockwave, Shockblast, and Knockout leave the room and the tower, leaving Vertebreak all alone to do what he chooses. He slithers into his personal laboratory, and right in the center is some sort of advanced operating table. He’s working on some beakers when suddenly a door buzz is heard. He smiles and pushes the button to let the guest in. He watches him through the cameras, but the individual is concealed in shadows. He eventually gets to the door of Vertebreak’s lab and knocks.

“Ah yes, please do come in, old friend.”

 

This is without a question a more emotional take on the 86 scene and good job doing in more depth with how the Autobots are coping with Optimus's death. Also MM took it as I've expected him to react. Vertebreak entering the scene's not good too.

2.you know the others having their last words with optimus just makes he whole thing sadder.
3.the visuals of unicrons eye scene was awesome.
4.okay now the scene with grimlock. dang this isn't tugging at my heart strings its tearing at them. 5.okay even terradive and fearswoop felt bad what's happening did I huff some paint or something seriously.
6.i think I actually feel bad for motormaster. I mean his whole reason for living is just gone.
7.i wonder who that new guy is.

 

That was a pretty emotional take on the '86 movie, it was interesting how we were able to see how everyone else reacted to Prime's death and I'm curious to see who the old friend is.
