Hi there, Soundpulse here. I'm posting a fanfiction, but it's written through an RP.
I have an RP going on in my Bionicle group on Steam, and I'm simply converting it into a story.
It's our own little revision of Bionicle.

Transformers: The Clone Wars will be still be written, for you three that care.
This will be updated slowly, as the RP has to be built up. The actual RP will have continuity errors and such, but I will fix that up during conversion.

    So, here we go.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Backstory

In the time before time, there were three brothers.

Ekimu, Master of Creation and Time; Teridax, Master of Shadow and Control; and Mata Nui, Master of Life and Light.
Together, they created the Matoran Universe.
They created one world for the time being, known as Spherus Magna.
The three lived in peace, creating citizens of the world together.

Years passed, and something began to grow inside of Teridax. Greed. While adressing the Matoran and Agori, Teridax cast a shadow over the world, immediately betraying his siblings at the same time.
Conflict began. These conflicts broke the world into three.
Most of the oceans came to be known as Aqua Magna, ruled by Mata Nui, where most of the Matoran went.
Most of the forests and jungles became Bota Magna, controlled by Ekimu. Not many came to live here. The only population consisted of Rahi.
Then there is Bara Magna. Nothing but a desert. Controlled by Teridax.
Ekimu had no quarrel with Mata Nui, despite the siblings having a world to their own.

Teridax soon named himself Makuta, Lord of Shadow. He began to build an army, known as the Rahkshi. Created to confront the warriors that protected Mata Nui and the Matoran: the Toa. Masters of the Elements.

This began the Element War. Light vs Shadow. The war dragged for ages. Makuta grew sick of this, and confronted Mata Nui himself.

"Brother, I challenge you to a duel! No elements, no powers, nothing but our weapons, our body, and our mind! Winner gets control over Spherus Magna! Once it is remade, that is!" Makuta shouted at the top of his lungs.

"So be it," replied Mata Nui.

The two began to clash for what seemed to be weeks. Which in fact, it was.
The battle then changed, when Makuta brought his brother to his knees, and placed his black and red hand on his brother's Kanohi Igvohki, Mask of Life and Light. The two separated into the Ignika, the Mask of Life and the Avohkii, Mask of Light. The two masks shot off across the world, never to be seen again. He used the rest of his powers to place his brother into a deep sleep.

Before Makuta could claim the worlds as his own, time began to slow.
Ekimu had heard of Makuta's cheating.
Ekimu said nothing to his brother, for he was ashamed of him, as he brought his hammer into the side of his face, knocking him out temporarily. Ekimu used this time to create the Shadow Realm, to banish Makuta.
The last sibling felt a form of regret. It was for the greater good though.

An era of peace and prosperity began on Aqua and Bota.
Bara just began to gain life thanks to Ekimu. Matoran and Toa lived on both Bota and Aqua. The self-named Agori and Glatorians lived on Bara, with others known as Skrall and Vorox. The Toa had a goal. To protect both worlds from those who followed in Teridax's footsteps. The Makuta. Controllers of shadow, plague, disease, poison, death. Their plan? Take over both worlds for their master. The Toa couldn't let that happen.

Gathered friends, listen again to the tale, of the Bionicle.

Writing style may differ a bit, as most of it is copied over from the RP thread. I simply edit it up a bit. It differs up around Grimmeth, as LegoTFGuy seems to be REALLY good with his writing in my opinion. I barely changed his, as they're great on their own.
Makuta Grimmeth is played by LegoTFGuy, Makuta Xerocite by Arcos Xerocite, Makuta Drog by Arcos Xerocite, Makuta Karikani by yours truly.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter One: The Brotherhood of Makuta

The Shadow Realm. A mirror of the real world, but distorted. Floating mountains, upside down volcanos, everything was different. A land of darkness. No light shone through this world.

The Castle of Makuta was large. Made of a dark gray stone, with cracks that didn’t seem to even damage it.

Makuta Xerocite sat in his throne, rubbing the bottom of his Kanohi Joltin, plotting as usual.
Xerocite was pure evil. As close as you get to Teridax himself. A Makuta of Disease. He hated everything good, but he hated pumpkins more than anything else. A story he refuses to tell. He took a deep breath and exhaled, his breath showing in the coldness of the realm.

"Toa, so called protectors of all..." Xerocite said to himself, "Bah, they're weak.." He was given the honor of being the leader of the makuta, after defeating, and killing, the former leader, Makuta Aktraz. He prefers to think of himself as their king, though. The black and red figure rose from his throne, and spoke.
“If they wish us to be their enemy, they may soon have it." He said, as he called for his head advisor, Karikani.
"Karikani," he shouted, "gather the Makuta, I think it's time we did something about our lands!"

The female Makuta stopped what she was doing, which was pretty much absolutely nothing. Karikani was the only female Makuta and Makuta of Water to ever exist. In her time as Makuta, which has only been two months, she had succeeded more than Drog and Grimmeth, the only other two Makuta still alive. She made her way to the throne room, kneeling before Xerocite.

“Yes, my Lord?” she said, a sense of minor annoyance in her voice.

"We've lived in this accursed land for eons, and nothing has changed. Trapped here for reasons I cannot even recall.” He stated, as he moved towards one of the many open windows, staring out of it, disgusted by the entire realm "I have plans for change, plans to escape this prison" He glanced towards Karikani "Gather our best Makuta, and tell them I have a proposal."

“What best Makuta?” she replied “There’s only four of us.”

“Silence!” he boomed, staring her down “There is no time for jokes! While we do not have any sort of deadline, I want out of here as soon as possible so we can obliterate your former brothers and sisters! Now GO! I believe Drog is in the armory, and you know where Grimmeth is..” Xerocite continued to stare out of the window, while the blue and black figure of Karikani vanished into the shadows.

Deep in the Makuta base lies a large section of rooms that no sane being would ever step foot in... well, not without a good reason and REALLY good armor. Scattered on the ground are bits of broken, melted and shattered machinery. Mixes of oil and joint lube pool on the floor. The occasional bit of decaying organic matter can also be found, casting a foul odor through the area. Hunched over a work desk is a lanky white, black and blue figure, furiously toiling away putting together what seems to be a random mass of parts. His armor is peppered with scratches, scorch marks, and splatters of various unidentifiable substances. The figure mutters to himself, occasionally making a bad pun and laughing out loud at it. He suddenly stands upright, satisfied that he has tinkered with the device long enough. He then flipped a pair of cracked and dirtied protective goggles down over his mask and activated the strange machine.

Karikani poked her head through the doorway, seeing Grimmeth experimenting, as usual. He was completely insane, she thought to herself. She always thought of herself as the most sane out the Brotherhood. Honestly, she feared Grimmeth. He was terrifying.
And not the compliment sort of way.

"Xerocite wants to see you," she quietly said, her voice muffled by her Kanohi Faxon, knocking on the doorway.

Even over the sound of the now-running machine, he heard Karikani's quiet voice at his door. Switching off his invention, he quickly leaped into the air. His cape unfolds into bat-like wings, allowing him to cross the distance between his desk and the door in an instant. He landed in front of the female, folding his wings back down and sliding up his goggles up to get a better look at her. He can tell she doesn't like being here. They never like being at his place.

"He wishes to see me?” he graveled in a medium pitch voice “What about?"
She backed away from him, to get breathing room.

"He has a plan," she said as she cleared her throat, "A proposal in his exact words my fellow experimenter. To escape this prison. Head your way to the throne room. I'm going to go look for that bumbling oaf, Drog. Do not delay." She turned away from him, making her way to the armory, where Xerocite said he would be.

    Metal clattered through the armory
"Stupid armor...all of them imperfect!! Who did we even assign to make this crap anyways?!" He screamed as he beat on more pieces to test their strength. ‘How could Xerocite put up with such imperfect armor?’ he thought to himself. "I swear, when I get my hands on our supplier. Wait, do we even have a supplier?"

“Idiot..” Karikani said to herself, as she tapped on the door with the staff part of her scythe, after hearing the screaming and roaring.

“DROG!” she yelled, to put her voice over his “Your brother needs you! NOW! Utmost urgency!”

"More urgent than testing our armaments for flaws?!" He shouted, as he waited for a response.

Irritated that he didn’t get one, the large black and red figure stepped out of the armory, mumbling, "This had better be good..."

"Oh it will. It involves getting out of this damn realm." Karikani answered. She smirked for a moment, thinking of a way to get him out of her sight faster.

"If you leave now, maybe you'll get something extra later?" She lied. Anything to get him out of here, she thought. Drog is pretty gullible. She leaned against the doorway, waiting for him to leave.

"Leaving this land of failure and flaws? That IS good." He walked passed her, ignoring her last remark. ‘The armory can wait!’ he thought.

Karikani sighed with relief when he finally left the room, as she looked over all the damage. Metal was in shreds, most of the armor was completely destroyed. As much as she disliked Grimmeth, she felt bad. He worked hard on all of this.
That was probably just her former Toa talking.

"Grimmeth is going to be mad...." She whispered. She turned on her heel, making her way to the throne room.

Xerocite looked around, seeing that Grimmeth and Drog had finally entered the throne room. The Makuta sat back into the large black throne, leaning back, waiting for Karikani to returned. Once she returned, Xerocite straightened himself up, and began speaking.

"Good, everyone is here.” he stated “My plan is simple, we cast a plague upon the outer world!"

Karikani raised an eyebrow at his "brilliant" plan.

"Didn't our previous leader already try that?" she asked "No offense, but what really makes you think you'll succeed? We won't kill everyone. Those blasted Toas of Iron are immune to disease."

"Plagues can be more than simply poisonous my dear." Xerocite responded, as he snapped my fingers, to two Rahkshi came out of hiding, bringing out a cage with a fikou spider in it "It can be infectious as well. "
He laughed as he used his element on the spider. The spider squirms as the disease spreads through its body, it's eyes turn blood red and its mouth begins to foam as it snaps its jaws at Xerocite.

Karikani was impressed. He had turned a harmless Fikou into a blood-thirsty monster.

"Well... You've made your point." she admitted, still staring at the monstrous Fikou.

Drog wasn’t impressed. He absolutely HATED rahi.

“Brother, you brought that beast in here?!" he yelled as he unsheathed his blade and prepared to strike down the rahi.

"Karikani, restrain that buffoon!" Xerocite ordered, his voice booming throughout the room.

Quickly turning her head, she slammed the scythe into his shoulder, digging it into his shoulder blade, pushing him down. Drog screamed in pain as he was brought down.

"Thank you. Now, Drog, if you'll be so kind as to listen I'll explain my plan." He snapped at him.

He kneeled on the ground, antidermis leaking out of the wound, wondering what's gotten into him to let a beast in here. "Very well sir...go on.."

"Now then, I propose we unleash a wave of these beasts upon a village, tear it to the ground and unleash a wave of fear across the lands."

She loosened her hold on Drog, before letting him go and shoving him aside.

"Why not a direct disease?" she asked "Why use the Fikous to just cause terror? I’m quite good with rahi. Utilize me, my Lord.”

"Because Karikani, I want fear, I want mayhem, and most of all, I want suffering." he responded, looking at her and noticing how eager she looks to get out. "Why don't you be the one to release the hoard, let them fear you before they know their true enemy."

"Oh my, think of the possibilities!" Grimmeth said, wrapping one arm around Karikani and pointing off dramatically with the other, "All that chaos, which means all that death, which leads to all those spare parts... and all those TEST SUBJECTS!" He then let out one of my patented bursts of evil laughter. "And I have the perfect set of armor made for the job! iI's in the armory. And yes, I promise that THIS ONE won't cause 'chronic discomfort'. Probably."
Karikani brushed the mad scientist's arm off me and thought for a moment.

"So, me, against all these Toa? Sounds good. We'll just need to change the Fikous into something worse..." Karikani said as she began to pace around “Ever heard of the Visorak?"

"Visorak, now there's a rahi! Obedient, precise, and incapable of talking back! I like what you're implying, Karikani!" Drog yelled, laughing out loud and giving her a slap on the back, to which she reacted by jolting forward "You should listen to her!"

Xerocite stared at him, thinking to himself how stupid Drog could be.

"Very well,” he responded “we will use the visorak, assuming you can acquire some." I gesture to the windows of the room. "Look around, have you ever even seen a visorak in this land? If you can find them, then we will use them, otherwise we will continue with the plan as it is."

"Oh! OH! OHOHOH!" Grimmeth said, waving his hand through the air "I've been tinkering with some tracking equipment to help me locate specific types of test subjects! I just need a DNA sample, so if we find a single Visorak, even it its dead, I can use it to find others!" he beamed as he pulls a syringe from his storage backpack to hammer home his point.

Xerocite raises an eyebrow at him and sighs.
"Very well then, the three of you may seek out the visorak, but take this with you. " He handed them a collection of spheres and a launcher. "Theses spheres contain the very plague I've sickened the fikou with. Go now and gather our army, I'll begin work on breaking out of this prison.”

The three makuta turned on their heels, and exited the room, leaving Xerocite to plot.
