    Hey there guys!

For a while now I've been contemplating the idea of designing my own Transformers universe, with my own versions of characters, and even some new ones. Inspired by the likes of Kaijuguy, Zombiebot, Coffee, and a bunch of others who have all shown off some fantastic stuff, I decided to start drawing characters

I came up with the story called Earth Bound, which some of you may recognise from a previous story I was writing, only this time the story is quite different

With Cybertron falling apart due to a slow and hazardous death, the Autobots split into teams and head for new worlds in order to survive, leaving the Decepticons to their home world. Autobot commander Optimus 'Prime' and his team find themselves on the planet Earth, and even without an immediate Decepticon threat, the planet is still ripe with dangers for the small group

The main Autobot team consists of Optimus 'Prime', Ratchet, Chromia, Bolts, Cheetor, and Hound. The Decepticons don't show up for some time, but do soon find their way to Earth. More on them later!

    First up is Chromia!

    • She's Optimus' First Lieutenant aboard the Eclipse, and is a long time friend of his through a mutual companion, Elita One. She has a great deal of respect for Optimus, and often helps him in dealing with difficult situations
    • Though she is often outgoing and fun, she can be very protective of Bolts and Cheetor, as they have little to no experience on the battle field. Chromia herself is a very capable warrior
    • Chromia came to be part of the main cast because I had certain dynamics I wanted to fill. Chromia fills the 'Big Bruiser' dynamic for this team, even if she's not the biggest bot. She definitely kicks the most ass though. I was looking at characters like Ironhide and Grimlock, but I felt they there a bit over-used, and I eventually decided on Chromia
    • She transforms into a small pick up truck, the two door kind
    • She would be voiced by Vanessa Marshall

Is a comic or fanfic going to come out of this?

I dunno, I can't see my characters having any part in any upcoming Dimension Wars sequels, at least not until I have my own story out for them. After that, maybe, but I wouldn't care too much either wat

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! Hopefully future designs will be this well received :)

Thanks guys! Animated had a big influence on the art style, as it was always one of my favourites because it had such a fun and energetic vibe about it. I really wanted my designs to have that kind of effect, so I'm glad others picked up on that :D

At the moment I'm thinking fanfiction, as it'd be more pratical. If I was to do a drawn comic based around these guys, it would either take forever to do each page, considering the two character models I've done so far have taken over three hours each, or the art work would have to be simplified a bit, and there probably wouldn't be any colour. I dunno. I'll think about it. I've also thought about doing a photo-comic, so if that happens, then the story for these guys will probably end up as a fanfic.
At the moment I'm trying to work out the kinks in the story. I've got most the pieces, so now I'm just trying to fit them all together to look like something decent, so it'll probably be a while before I have anything to show anyway. But once I do, I'll be sure to leave a link here for you guys!

Okay, now that all of that's sorted, lets move on to the next character - Hound!

EDIT: Added a bit more bulk to his legs

    • Hound is the team's navigator and tracker, and the cannon on his shoulder isn't actually a cannon, but rather a hologram projector
    • Despite seeing his fair share of tragedy during the war on Cybertron, Hound maintains a positive outlook on life. Coming to Earth only enhanced this, as he became incredibly intrigued by the organic life that populated the small blue planet
    • Hound filled two dynamics for me on the Autobots' team. The main one was being green. Surprisingly there aren't many green Autobots compared to a lot of other characters, so this one was difficult. I looked at Hoist, who would have been a medic or a mechanic (Ratchet, Bolts), and Bulkhead, who would have been the bruiser (Chromia). Hound was eventually chosen, and he would be the kid-friendly character, or the Bumblebee/Hot Shot of this series, as he was in Generation One
    • He transforms into a Land Rover style Jeep
    • He would be voiced by Phil LaMarr

I'm loving the look for Hound. The Animated style really is the way to go with these!

And yeah, no need to pressure yourself into doing a comic; I designed my own bots with a ton of simplicity since I had a comic in mind, and even then it takes quite a while to get a page done. Besides, I find that word is a much easier medium to tell a story anyway.

And yeahhh I'm kind of in the same boat when it comes to DWars, characters have to reach a certain status-quo for a crossover like this to work. Not to mention a universe would probably be best ready once their story is properly developed. Could be difficult topping future scuffles after your team just fought to save the multi-verse.

Woah, and you're not making a comic out of this why? Great work dude. No lie, this looks as good as the new TF show art.
