Botcon 2014 - G1 and Armada Sets *Updated*

When posting this, I can't help but give a shout out to Whitemocha.

Anyway, I know a few of these ideas are not original, but it seems like everyone wants them. To note, I am not too happy with my Galvatron, which is disappointing since he is one of my all-time favorite characters that we need an update of. But my favorite toy between the sets has to be Guiltar, which is surprising because Ultra Magnus was not the original mold I had in mind for him. Originally Guiltar was made from the WFC Optimus mold, but when I was done, it looked like Optimus Prime with black pants. But if there was only one toy that I could have from all of this, it would definitely be Guiltar. I love it! Ultra Magnus finally gets his revenge as he is repainted into Optimus Prime instead of the other way around (sort of).

    Ill Logic

Box Set: Guiltar, Scattorshot, Afterburner, Lightspeed, Strafe, and Nosecone
    Freebie Figure: Rewind
Attendee Set #1: Galvatron, Trypticon, and Full-Tilt
Attendee Set #2: Eject, Longarm Prime, Noisemaze
Blind Bagged Troop Builder #1: Reflector
Blind Bagged Troop Builder #2: Noisemaze Mass Production Version

Despite a recent conspiracy to kill him, Galvatron once again trusts the Quintessons and their newest scheme. They entice him by informing him that they have a way to improve him, and make him the ultimate strategist by giving him infinate knowledge. This is done through the Quintessons, and their loyalist Noisemaze, capturing autobots of the highest intellect; Computron, Longarm Prime, and Rewind. But Galvatron is not a naive as everyone thinks. He brought Trypticon to defend him, and has Reflector stationed on a near by asteroid to keep surveillance as Galvatron enters the Quintesson star ship.
But one would think it was unwise to gather the smartest warriors into one place, and believe that you have them “contained and trapped.” Especially when these warriors have allies such as Eject, who can traverse the Quintesson ship with out detection to wire explosives on the ship’s energon reserves. If one was intellectual, it would be safe to assume that these autobots already have an exit strategy.
The Quintessons hook up Galvatron to a machine, and commences data transfer. But Galvatron says that he does not feel anything happening. The Quintessons assure them that there is, and he’ll know soon enough, after all, he’ll know everything after the procedure is done. The transfer is complete, and Galvatron is getting impatient and suspicious. It is then that the Quintessons reveal that the data transfer was given to their warrior, a new gladiator who will reclaim the transformers race for the Quintessons to rule. It is then that Guiltar steps out of the shadows, the warrior built from the schematics of Optimus Prime and Megatron. In his mind, he begins a countdown that finishes when all targets are neutralized.
All slag starts breaking loose as Longarm Prime shifts to reveal that he is Shockwave, and leads the Autobots after Rewind unlocks their holding cells. Guiltar is quick to pursue. Trypticon makes short work of some of the Noisemaze clones, and gets Galvatron to the outside of the ship. Out there, they find that there is an entire army of clones that has dispatched Reflector.
Meanwhile, Shockwave leaves Computron to fight for himself, and he too escapes to the top of the ship to see the army of clones. Trypticon faces the clones, while Galvatron is torn on who he wants to kill first- Shockwave or Noisemaze. We have a showdown between the three.
We revisit Guiltar again, and the timer is about out. The Autobots escape to the more secure holding cell that was built to contain Guiltar, and lock themselves in. Guiltar’s timer reaches an end, and the ship explodes; he knew of the Autobots plans as they were downloaded into him. The Autobots survive. Guiltar is destroyed, and the decepticons are littered throughout space. The Quintessons however, made an escape before the fireworks. The story ends as the ghost of Starscream enters into Guiltar, and takes possession of the new body.

The Micron Legend of Hikari No

Box Set: Ironhide with Laserbeak, Red Alert, Quickstrike, Hikari No, and Wheeljack
    Freebie Figure: Cannonball
Attendee Set #1: Six Shot, Cruellock, Divebomb, and Battle Ravage
Attendee Set #2: Cyclonus, Demolisher, Divebomb, and Battle Ravage
Troop Builder: Rodimus, Checkpoint, and Armorhide

Hot Shot, Rad, Carlos, and Alexis were talking, and they decided to ask Red Alert how he lost his hand. Red Alert says that he does not want to talk about it. Smokescreen, who is passing in the background mocks him and says that he’ll tell them. “So one night, the men in black, the Lochness monster, and the boogeyman all got together for a shin dig. Red Alert, Quickstrike, and Ironhide led a squad of ‘bots to break it up, and in doing so, the Lochness monster bit off his hand. Then, low and behold, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch, and fixes ol’ Red, and disappears never to be seen again.” Smokescreen concludes by saying that no one knows how he lost his hand, and tells Red Alert to not fill their head with nonsense of animal robots and green ghosts; he doesn’t need them going off to find big foot.
After Smokescreen leaves, Red Alert finally decides to tell them. Back on Cybertron, eons ago, Red Alert, Quickstrike, and Ironhide led a surveillance mission to investigate possible Decepticon activity. The energy levels surronding the place were off of the charts, and were irregular. They had caught wind of the Decepticon hanger after they had listened in on the ramblings of a drunken Cannonball, and proceeded to follow him that night.
The reconnaissance mission escalated into a rescue mission when they realized that there was a prisoner in the hanger, who was being tortured for information. They knew that Six Shot was the ring leader, and that Demolisher, Cyclonus, Wheeljack, and Cannonball were monitoring the area, and it was likely there would be a few more Decepticons. But despite the odds, they were going in; they were going to be heroes.
So the battle began, three against five. The Autobots thought that they had the element of surprise, but they were surprised themselves. Six Shot ordered the release of the Terrorcons, led by Cruellock, to finish off the Autobots. The three had never seen such monstrosities before. Regardless, they fought with all they had, but this was not enough. The plan became “distract and extract”. So Red Alert had the job of distracting Cruellock, and Ironhide took on the Decepticons. Meanwhile, Quickstrike went to free the prisoner. In th course of action, Red Alert got his hand bitten off, and started losing energon profusely. Cruellock was coming in for the kill strike when Hikari No intervened and destroyed the beast. To save Red Alert, he took one of his guns, and fused it with his arm to stop the leak.
After witnessing these events, Six Shot exclaimed that it had taken six cycles to create that beast. In that time they could have created a thousand smaller beasts- what a waste. But once Cruellock was defeated, and Hikari No attacked the Decepticons, the enemies all fled for the hills. Hikari No was grateful to his rescuers, and took a damaged Divebomb, and seemingly electrocuted it. But he actually downloaded onto the disc information on how to powerlinx with minicons, and handed to Ironhide. Hikari No begins shinning, and disappears. The next thing the Autobots know is that they are waking up in the middle of a highway on another part of Cybertron. Rodimus, Checkpoint, and Armorhide were carrying shipments to another base when they came across the three fallen warriors.

    ***********NEW SET**********

I did this set based on some of SG Roadbuster's ideas, even though the Predacons have been done by others. Mirage works better in my mind compared to the way he turned out. I do not watch Prime, so if the story misses on a few details, I apologize. Also I bent a few rules with this set. An extra homage as attendee sets are the parallel those of the original releases!

    Of Spies and Commandos

Box Set: Mega Octane, Mirage, Ironhide, R.E.V., and Hot Shot
    Freebie Figure: Side Swipe
Attendee Set #1: Dark Scream, Slapper, Gas Skunk
Attendee Set #2: Scourge and X-Brawn
Attendee Set #3: W.A.R.S and Crosswise

The Prime Autobots were struggling to put an end to the rising siege of the Predacons. But Wheeljack had heard at the intergalactic water cooler, that there was a universe that contained Autobots who were skilled and experienced at battling dragons. So he started up the Starhammer, and was off. Somehow, he talked a unit of Cyber Ninjas to board his ship and return with him, but they were reluctant to tell him that they hadn't ever successfully slain a Predacon. Wheeljack was not the only one looking for recruits as RID Megatron, after receiving intell, sent warriors to follow Wheeljack and bring back Predacons. But will Slapper, Dark Scream, and Gas Skunk return after they have been enticed and empowered by Predaking? With the Predacon trio off screwing up the mission, Scourge and Mega Octane question whether they should even stay in this universe. Then again, Scourge could get in some practice by slaying this dragon... Pretty Straightforward.

    Beasts of Burden: Maximals Rising

BoxSet: Galvatron, Dirge, Horrorcon Night Prowler, Dinobot, Terrorsaur, and Scorponok
    Freebie Figure: Ravage
Attendee Set #1: Fuzor Magnaboss and Dinobot
Attendee Set #2: Fuzor Piranacon, Autojetter, and Autolauncher
Troop Builder Set: Horrorcon Waspinator, Bumblebee, and Inferno

Ultra Mammoth and his crew, alongside Megatron and his gang are still stranded on the prehistoric, shattered glass Earth. Stranded so long, that the energon radiation has begun mutating each warrior- making them become fuzors and transmetals. Not knowing the full consequences of these mutations, the Maximals scurry around the planet to try to locate new resources, any that will aid their departure from the planet. While on one of these missions, the Autobots discover another life form- Dinobot. He "befriends" the Autobots, and follows them back to base, while telling his story. He is a lone warrior, who has punished himself to a lifetime of isolation on the desolate planet due to the measure of his dishonorable acts. For at one time, he used deceptive means to enter into the Maximal (SG) ranks long ago. He joined them in the Final battle which Leo Prime waged on Galvatron. Beforehand, he transmitted information to the Predacons, allowing them to set an ambush, and thus betrayed his new allies, leading to the death of the Maximals. Not being able to cope with his shame, nor being able to withstand Galvatron's new reforms, he underhandedly disposed of the remaining Predacons.
Upon arrival at the Autobot base, Dinobot sees Magnaboss (Ironhide, Silverbolt, and Prowl), and begins a fight for his life. He had a suspicion that these Autobots worked for the Magnaboss Board (Lio Junior, Santon, and Skywarp), a group that is hellbent on resurrecting the reign of the cruel Maximals. The Autobots eventually calm down Dinobot, and convince him that they are not a part of such a regime. At this, Dinobot is not relieved. Dinobot reveals to the Autobots that only half of his story was true, as there are a few remaining Predacons. He lied as he did not know if the Autobots could be trusted. He secretly hoped that the Autobots were a part of the board, and that they led him straight to the Magnaboss Board's hidden headquarters. In doing so, he could have alerted the Predacons, and be martyred in the act of his discovery, awarding him redemption. Regardless, he also informs Ultra Mammoth that they are in for a fight against the powerful Magnaboss Board, as they have employed the services of the Horrorcons. Night Prowler (formerly known as Cheetor) and Waspinator are among the Horrorcons top commanders, and they constantly patrol the planet. It will only be a matter of time until they discover these new warriors.
This story begins the arc of the resurrection of Leo Prime, and the showdown with the Magnaboss Board. But in the midst of all this, the Decepticons are only becoming more fierce and powerful. It becomes a mad race to recover the Origin Matrix.

Misc.: The Tripedicus Council had Ravage, and the Magnaboss Board has Night Prowler. Terrorsaur, Scorponok, and Dinobot remain alive, and have naturally advanced toward updated forms. The SG Predacons and Maximals are a mix between those found during the beast wars and beast wars II (Dirge and Max B have perished). Inferno is now in the body of a male ant. Waspinator never was a Predacon. If Hasbro had made a voyager Prime Insecticon, he would be Fuzor Tripledacus.

    Perpetual Rattrap
Box Set: Torca, Rattrap, Jetstorm, Botanica, and Geckobot
Attendee Set #1: T-Wrecks, Nightscream, and Thrust
Attendee Set #2: Megatron and Vehicons
Troop Builder Set: Jawbreaker, Rapticon, and Dinobot 2
    Freebie Figure: Wolfgang

Rattrap curses himself for every decision he has made up until now. Especially the decision where he joined the Axalon Continuity Corps, a branch of operations residing in the Transtech universe. The constant reverberations of the never ending feeling of déjà vu leaves him stuck in a dream like existence. This Corp is made up of Maximals that span the continuity of the beast wars. Their job is simple, to patch every rip in the timeline that Megatron has torn, and eventually catch the real Megatron. For when Megatron captured the Golden Disc, he went to the utmost future in the timeline. A doppelganger proceeded to exist in the continuum in his place, up to that point, so when the beast wars were won, Megatron was not truly destroyed, just a mirror image. Now it is the ACC’s job to fix the continuity. But such a task baffles the circuits. Every reemergence into the timeline from the base in Transtech alters the timeline and the universe. Once Cheetor time-jumped, and he was reformatted into some Saturday morning cartoon character (a reference learned from Wreck-Gar) into a time that was without the beast wars. But for the most part, every time jump lands them in a timeline extremely similar to the one Rattrap originated from. The experience is comparable to marathoning a ten season crime series (also from Wreck-Gar), passing out from exhaustion, and only regaining consciousness to do it again. Upon the freshest viewing, you remember the jest of the plot, but the details are blurred, and seem ever changing. Take the current situation for instance. This mission is a re-run. The team has assembled to rescue Dinobot. But this time they are scaling the walls of Megatron’s forces, rather than say a high-risk maximal prison. The déjà vu from the countless timeline jumps leaves one with more questions and fewer answers. When did the fembot Nightscream become so hot? How has Rattrap never noticed this before? Where is Botanica’s Airrazor drone? It’s missing and seemingly replaced with the weapon Longhorn and Cattail. But Rattrap has canned the questions, for he’ll need more of the same answers on the next mission. Ironically, he is the one stuck in the rattrap. Running and running on the hamster wheel, only to re-run and re-run every step, but on a similar, but slightly different rung. He runs and runs, getting nowhere. When one Megatron is defeated, there are 100 more timelines where still he reigns supreme. But what if Rattrap, for this one instant, takes a different step than the one usually taken?

    Wars of Machine and Monster
Box Set: Optimus Prime, Hubcap, Prowl, Megatron, and Thundercracker
    Attendee Set #1:Soundwave and Starscream
Attendee Set #2: Mirage, Sandstorm, and Skywarp
    Freebie Figure: Hoist
    Troop Builder: Megaplex x3

Even after all of the generations that have passed, fate reveals is fervor for the ironic, as it has decided that the final war of the Transformers should be waged by Megatron and Optimus Prime. The leadership of both the Decepticons and Autobots has passed through so many hands, and yet, it again lies in the palms of these two titans. But things are different now than they were back then. In the times before, the humans did not cling to the edge of extinction with only 7 million survivors. But most of all, Megatron did not owe a debt of gratitude to Starscream, as this air commander helped Megatron eliminate Galvatron. Although this act was solely done out of revenge, and for retribution for his death, Starscream has ceased to let Megatron forget about this feat. Then, there are the Megaplex clones. One can only imagine that the two troupes concerning clones, especially clones of an egomaniac, will be in play; one of the clones is actually Megatron while another parades in his place, and that the clones have begun original processing, and believe themselves to be greater than the original. These two variables add to an already chaotic situation. The stakes couldn’t be higher, nor the combatants any more dangerous. Prime is finished with losing his friends and being blamed for the rampant death of the human race. He will end this war one way or another. This war-worn leader struggles to retain his honorable code, and resist the urge to use the a quite special, hybrid nuclear-electromagnetic missile that will end Megatron’s army and shatter the earth in it’s aftermath. It ends here.

Sure thing. Just post them here or pm me. Fair warning though, I was planning to take a break from bashing after I finished this set. So it may take me a little while to get to them. Hey, they might be something that I've already done and not posted like a few other requests I have gotten. I can't wait to hear them.

I need the Unicron Trilogy set in my life.

also I kind of think Rewind (black one) is redundant since we are getting one in the subscription sets. I think Rosanna or Flip Sides would be a better use of the mold.

Good eye, thanks. I have fixed the images.

I had the two cassettes done about a month or two before the information on the official Rewind was released, and did not really feel like changing things. But I'll keep these ideas in mind in case I do another project.

And SG Roadbuster, are you a mind reader? I had actually contemplated doing a Spy Changer themed set. I struggled with a Pre-Earth version using FOC Jazz and Sideswipe, and the new Orion Pax, But I could not really figure out a villain. Then I thought about using RTS Jazz, and a few others against some of the new predacons. But I was hesitant as I do not like mixing aesthetics too much (Guiltar is an exception). I even thought of doing it in the Prime universe too. I'll see what I can do.

Some of those ideas are awesome, but I do not think that they could all fit into two Botcon sets. I am glad I am not the only one who wants an updated RID set. About a year ago, I was doing an anniversary set for RID using at least one figure from ever series since RID. I didn't complete it, but got a majority of the characters done. If I can get to the original images, I'll post them.

Have you seen Whitemocha's X-Brawn or Cheetimus Prime's WARS? They are pretty awesome.

sometimes the aesthetic mixes work, like in the 2012 set.

I made ajustments here and there on the two sets. the first set has 3 voyagers, but it only a 5 figure set, and there arent any other voyagers in the set and the pcc 5 pack should roughly equal out to two deluxes for the third souviner set. and the second boxset does have 6 figures in it, but they are all deluxes, in fact that set has no voyagers at all. so it should come out under budget

Cheet's was made out of Generations Wheeljack right? and i dont remember whitemocha's, it was made out of the horrible universe ironhide mold right? i went with trailbreaker because with the shield on his left arm it almost gives him his proper silouette. I went with gen bee because of his alt modes's hard angles. and if you mistransform him a bit and leave the door wings down, he makes a damned good spychanger

also, we really need a another Classics style formula one car, poor Mirage has been used more than a 3 dollar daytime hooker
