This project was one of the main reasons I started digibashing. I may get some hate for this, but I was in love with the Shattered Glass box set. I was also infatuated with legends class toys as you can probably tell. So I put the two together. After a while, I was looking at my Target Exclusive Legends Razorclaw, and thought, "I should do someone else from that set. But why stop there? I should do at least one bot from each set, years 2005 to 2010." So the initial start of the "Legends of Botcon" began. It was not until 2012 that I revisited the project and turned my 15 figure project into a 60 figure project. I wanted to do at least one figure from each Botcon. Oh the time that was wasted! haha. I will warn you that some of these guys fall into the "first 20 digibashes I have ever done" category from back in 2009/2010 (I think that is when I started). So yeah, some are pretty rough, but you get the basic idea. I did not feel like redoing them. On the other hand though, some are pure win. By the way, most of the beast wars redecos are done in "Dawn of Futures Past" style. So, here we go; The Legends of Botcon; 1994-2000
Here is the next batch; 2001 - 2005 Also, some of the originals are lost on a computer that I no longer have, so I took a picture of the paper copy that I had.
The base mold for Megazarak is DOTM Guzzle. I really doubt that head mold would actually work on the toy though...
I see you cheated with Doub;e Punch making him out of Scrapmetal but fair enough. Honestly the Legends BotCon digibashes are brilliant.
these are quite awesome.....would be cool if TFCC did a 'Legends of Botcon' set maybe once every 5 or 10 years
Thanks guys for all of the comments! Maybe one of these days we will get something similar to one of these sets. If we do, hopefully they are at a reasonable price; a "poor man's botcon" set if you will. But I am not done with Botcon yet! Frequent the fan art page this week as I pit two plausible Botcon 2014 sets against one another. One G1 themed. One Armada themed. One shall stand, and... um... one shall use an overly quoted line!
I had to wait five to ten minutes fir this page to load thanks to sucky wi-fi. The pure awesomeness of this thread made it all worth it.
