Black Zarak WIP

another old WIP, recently updated. i changed the way the knees transform, so theyre fully articulated in bot mode, totally hidden in base mode, and folded neatly in scorp mode. also repainted a few of the details as zarak only had the stickers of the original scorponok and the blues didnt quite fit.. and obviously the head is just repainted from scorponok. i <3 my gold material. so shiney..

aand while i'm posting, i have an announcement of sorts, most of you prolly wont believe me though, but anyway! i'm a girl. yes, thats right this is me. everyone assumed guy to start with so i went with that, cos i felt it would be for the best, an artist equivalent of a writer's pen-name. i didn't want to deal with scary fanboys and i wanted my work to kick ass for its kick-assitude, and not for the 'omg a hawt goth chick made this!' factor. some good has come from it, i doubt i would've gotten a place in that genesis artbook if i'd been using my true identity all this time, as girls get little respect in the comic-type industry.. buut its been many years, i'm not serious about 3d thing any more, so there's no point to keep that persona going. that and i'm getting sick of being called dude

Awesome piece, Woo...I remember when you were building your original Scorpy, funny how the original head works well as a repaint! And yeah, that gold = niiiiice.

The utmost respect to you, too, for the whole 'alt persona' thing - proof positive that it doesn't matter what gender, creed or colour you are, if your work rocks like hell, then recognition and respect is due regardless.

But here's a tin hat and flak jacket, just in case the scary fanboys come a-knocking...

the base mode could do with a bit more detail on it but the robot mode and scorpion mode are amazing

i got my zarak cheaap cos the staff was missing ._. find me reference and i'll make it! same for the master sword on GFC

thats why its still WIP.. robot and scorpy modes are finished except for the tip of the tail and the hips.. the rest of the work is base detailing~

nicely done. makes me kinda be bothered to get out my unicorn model and do something with him again. but then i dont have as bigger fan base as yours so, meh.

the textures and yes teh gold works well.
