Welcome, allow me to introduce myself! I'm Stonecrusher, and I'll be your guide to this archive! When the artist whom I share a name with started out, he didn't bother making his own models. He preferred to modify the work of others to fit certain specifications, as he felt his own 100% work was just too unrefined. So it could be seen as a virtual form of Kitbashing! But don't worry. A few future models will be more original. EXHIBIT ALPHA "Evangelion Unit 01" This was modified from a model of a Burai Knightmare from the Code Geass Series, found here; 無頼 Burai (fix update) by chin258456 - 3D Warehouse Personally, I think he messed up with the eyes a bit, but let's get a move on, shall we? EXHIBIT BETA "Origin Gundam" This is a bit less extensive of a modification, or a bit more, depending on how you look at it. It's notable because it includes a measurement of the Armored Knight frame. Would anyone here like to see more, or have any questions?
Certainly nothing wrong with "kitbashing". It might be one of the better ways to learn the program. I look forward to seeing what you do next.
well...you certainly made the Gundam more vibrant. I might use sketchup as a way to plan out a custom using the gundam and some car models. Thank you for introducing me to the program Question though. How did you change the pose of the gundam? I can't figure that one out
Apologies. Exhibit Cora "Gundam EXCEED" This model is, comparatively, more original in design, although it still draws from preexisting models in the hands and the basic head design. The Artist, after building it for two days, decided to make it more editable by anyone who is interested. Link below. Gundam Exceed by TFNexus3D - 3D Warehouse
Is the mouth part of the model, or drawn on afterwards? Not too much advice I can offer about faces; I've never been much good at them, which is one reason why I prefer to do more alien head designs. When I modeled your Wildrider, though, I used curviloft for the face and tools on surface to draw the mouth on. Anyhoo, it's lookin' good. Cool to see you modeling things that are 100% yours.
Finally... I've done it! I've taken Noisemaker's original concept of Nexus Motormaster, and turned it into a better Optimus Prime then the previous Optimus Prime! Can be accessed here > Optimus Prime NEXUS by TFNexus3D - 3D Warehouse
