I do however have issue with the rocket launcher, and that is the way it attaches and swings out- if this were a toy, those thin points would be much too thin and fragile to work I think. I really love the placement, and the homage to Camshaft, but I think it would have to me mounted a little differently.

I like him as Chamshaft. But for some reason, without the faceplate, he reminded me of Energon Hot Shot. Grammatically Editing Art since 2000! |

and also try hound/swindle legs (seats fold back window drops trunk extends and wheels turn over) |

Even if the transformation scheme is reused, that is an awesome looking update of Camshaft! Nice choice for alt. mode too! I'd love to have a toy of that.
Oh, and regarding the legs - what I really like most about the Meister approach is that the back seats are worked in and that just makes the alt. mode so much better.
If you're up for the challenge, I'd say blend the two designs (Subaru and RX-8) and see if you can engineer the Subaru's simplicity with RX-8's realism.
(Of course, I also like how the ratcheting joints make things so much easier...but that really doesn't apply to what you're doing.) |

The legs have been causing me some degree of strife, I really wanted to fit the back seats in, but there just doesnt seem to be enough room in the back of the TT to allow it without cheating. I ended up opting for the simpler Subaru leg style, but with the knees folding in the oposite direction. The legs still need quite a lot of work, I just threw a quick and dirty version together to see if all the pivots were in the right place. On the final version, the rear wheels will fold in to act as the heels.
The hand design I ripped straight from my PG Strike Gundam kit, with a few minor cosmetic differences.
As the the launcher, I agree the sections it pivots on are too thin, I can fix that by setting the two sections that connect the roof to the windscreen further apart, which will give me room to make the pieces wider.
Here's a link to the animation, it's untextured with ugly lighting but it's quite high-res. Camshaft Audi test |
