Nice take on Robot Masters. I like how you made them look more like machines and less like humans.

Thanks! That was the angle I was going for.

    rush.png
The first sentient support unit designed by Dr. Light for Mega Man's use, Rush combines the the best aspects of the earlier Item-2 with a the body of a canine robot. Being an autonomous unit in his own right, Rush is capable of thinking for himself, though he is driven by more base instincts than any of the Robot Masters, being based on a dog rather than a human. He serves multiple purposes, including providing a rocket board for Mega Man to travel on, generating a spring to propel him into the air, pinpointing and digging up usable materials in the ground, and generally providing Mega Man with companionship on his quests. Later on Rush would be adapted to have the ability to combine with Rock in the form of the Rush adaptor, providing him with an armor set that renders him capable of independent flight and a rocket punch. As is only fitting, Rush is a loyal, steadfast, and incredibly brave companion, ready and willing to face any danger alongside his beloved master. He likes to spend his spare time playing with the other Light numbers.

    SERIES THREE ROBOT MASTERS

After clearing his name, Dr. Wily returned to working with Dr. Light and developed the third series Robot Masters alongside him, their purposes being for the colonization of other worlds. Naturally, it was all a ruse on Wily's part-- soon enough, the eight robots they had designed went on a rampage, with Dr. Light's first son Blues-- going by "Break Man" at this point in time-- leading the charge. Wily, naturally, feigned innocence while the robots went off and destroyed everything... at least long enough to steal the immensely powerful "Gamma" prototype. Despite being in control of such a powerful robot, Wily was defeated for a third time, though presumed dead when his newest fortress collapsed on top of him. The Third series, like the Seconds, were reactivated and given the option to better serve mankind, and currently all but one of their number has become a member of the House of Light.

    needle man.png
Needle Man was originally developed for the purpose of clearing bedrock and leveling land for colonizing purposes, but would soon be repurposed for combat. Unlike the other seven Robot Masters, however, Needle Man hated the idea of using his Needle cannons to hurt people (in spite of his frightening appearance) and being the bad guy was the last thing he wanted. While his programming ultimately did force him to fight Mega Man, he accepted his death and was fully prepared when Rock finished him off the first time. What he wasn't prepared for, however, was being reactivated, surprised that Mega Man would preserve his IC chip for any reason. Light's offer proved to be Needle Man's salvation. He was reprogrammed to work in the construction field, swapping out his needles for rivets so that he could assist in building skyscrapers. In his spare time Needle Man enjoys sewing and knitting.

    magnet man.png

Based somewhat loosely on Metal Man's build, Magnet Man was developed to move scrap metal out of the way during the development process of a Mars colony. A walking, talking electromagnet, he's among the most powerful of Wily's third series, though unfortunately he's the only one that's immune to his own powers-- the robots under his command and his own brothers are susceptible to his magnetic abilities. It's wise to keep him away from data storage units, as his mere presence has been known to corrupt them. While a savvy tactician, Magnet Man can come across as rather abrasive and often appears to be devoid of direction, making things up as he goes. Like the others he was reactivated after his defeat and given the option to put his powers to a more productive use. Magnet Man initially expressed fears that his power set would simply be too specialized to be put to any real use, but eventually went into scrap iron management, putting his magnetic powers to good use. In his downtime he enjoys magnetic therapy.

    gemini man.png

Though Gemini Man was originally developed for mining purposes, you wouldn't really be able to tell it from looking at him. His reflective Gemini Laser was designed for clearing out an area for mining and his ability to project duplicates was designed with the purpose of making him a one-man team. Naturally, all of this was secretly designed with combat in mind, and Gemini Man, like his brothers, was deployed to destroy Mega Man. Gemini Man is narcissist, even more vain than his predecessor Air Man, and is liable to stand around and admire his reflection. If there's no reflective surface, he's certain to just create a holographic copy to look over. Gemini Man, like his brothers, was reactivated and given the option to put his skills back to their original use, and though he feared that his powers were simply too impractical to have any real use to society, he eventually found his groove with his original intent.

    hard man.png

Hard Man is, in many aspects, a direct upgrade of Guts Man's design. He takes all the power and durability of the Light Robot and builds upon it, giving him rocket thrusters built into his feet, a retractable head, and rocket fists that he can control remotely. His original intent was to level the land ahead to make it easier to establish a colony, though naturally his skills were first employed towards more destructive means. Though huge and powerful, Hard Man is actually fairly intelligent... he's just a 'bot of few words. He operates on a fairly strict code of honor and always seeks to fight his opponent on equal terms, offering them an E-tank prior to their battle if they're too damaged otherwise. This puts him at odds with the decidedly more pragmatic Snake Man. Like his brothers Hard Man was reactivated after Wily's third attempt at world domination and given the option to put his powers to more constructive use. He quickly accepted and works with the likes of Guts Man and Bomb Man in construction.

    hehehe. Hard Man.

Okay, immature jokes aside, these designs are coming out quite nicely.

    top man.png
Top Man was designed for high mobility to assist in construction, built with the intent of helping to rig up a colony as quickly as possible. The tops he could fire off were actually made with the intent of creating footholds in the ground through which a foundation could be built. Naturally he took all of this, plus the protection he gets while spinning, into combat against Mega Man. Top Man, despite his somewhat ludicrous power set and silly appearance, is a smooth talker, able to get most people on his side with a smile and a wink. That being said, he is ill-prepared for when he pushes his luck too far due to overconfidence in his own charisma. Like the other third series members Top Man was given the option to put his skills towards a more productive use and wound up going into the entertainment industry, becoming a circus robot. In his spare time Top Man enjoys the roller disco.

    snake man.png
Snake Man was designed with the intent of being an advance scout for establishing a Mars colony, his Search Snake giving him extra sets of eyes, useful for scouting topography and looking through otherwise unreachable narrow spaces. Said search snakes could also be employed for espionage and even used as weapons, as Mega Man would later find out when he had to fight this Robot Master. Snake Man is pretty creepy even by Wily number standards, enjoying the prospect of hunting his opponent down as if they were prey and closing in for the kill. On top of giving the others the heebie-jeebies, this puts him at odds with the more honorable Hard Man, though Snake Man argues it's simple pragmatism on his part-- "get them before they get you," as he puts it. Much to everyone's surprise, he too was given the option to go back to his old job, and he accepted. He now uses his Search Snakes for their intended purpose of scouting the land. He's romantically attracted to Toad Man (in a creepy Yandere sort of way) though the Cossack number doesn't exactly reciprocate.

    They look nice.
I like the reference to the 90's Snake Man design.

Thanks again! I may not like all of the Ruby-spears designs for the Mega Man characters, but I really did like Snake Man's.

    spark man.png
Spark Man's appearance belies his intended function as a living power source for other robots. A robot master based on Elec Man's specs, Spark Man can produce twice the wattage of his predecessor in a shorter amount of time. This comes at the cost of having actual hands, which while it serves him well on the battlefront, it's counterproductive to holding anything, which puts him in the same boat as Needle Man. Though a dependable ally, Spark Man suffers from abandonment anxiety and will get incredibly depressed if left on his own for any long period of time. As a result, he can come across as rather clingy to his friends and colleagues. Like the other members of the Third series, he was reactivated and given the chance to return to his original function, which he gladly accepted. These days he works alongside his template Elec Man at the local power plant.

    shadow man.png
Shadow Man is... an oddity. Light didn't co-design him alongside Wily, suggesting that the mad doctor built this one all on his own in secret. Furthermore, the metal he's comprised of matches no known metals on Earth, suggesting that he's extraterrestrial in design. Whatever the case is, neither Shadow Man nor Wily are saying. He simply showed up when the other Third series members began their revolt with no data on him whatsoever and no clearly intended role besides what his appearance suggests. Befitting his appearance, Shadow Man is a cold, calculating warrior and a 'bot of few words. He tends to stick to the shadows, much like Snake Man, and uses stealth and guerrilla tactics to their fullest. He appears to be fully skilled in ninjutsu, able to cast illusions, create smokescreens, and summon frog robots for various purposes. However, this is all tempered by his impulsiveness. Shadow Man has a tedency to jump into a situation without thinking it all the way through, often resulting in getting himself in deeper trouble than he intended. Unlike the rest of the Third series Shadow Man was never given the option to put his skills to a more productive use... because his IC chip was spirited away before Rock could deliver it back to Light Labs. He is the only member of his team to continue to serve Dr. Wily to this day.

    doc robot.png
The Diverse Operations Circuit robots (or DOC robots for short) were developed by Dr. Wily to replicate Mega Man's ability to copy the weapons of his foes. Endowed with the powers of the Second series, eight DOC robots were deployed to stall the Blue Bomber while Wily could take off with the energy elements and Gamma. These robots are less complex than your standard Robot Master in that they have no real personality and behave closer to a stereotypical emotionless machine than true individuals. Though they can faithfully recreate the power set of any previous Robot Master, a flaw in their design means they can only copy one at a time, meaning that Wily had to develop multiples in order to make his plan work. Though they failed in terminating Mega Man, they did buy Wily enough time to hijack Gamma, and he would later take what he learned with the eight DOC units and apply it to the far more successful Bass. The DOC robots serve as manual labor for Wily these days.

    eddie.png

Developed by Dr. Light as an experiment in subspace storage, Eddie was originally intended to be a walking suitcase with infinite space within before yet another robot rampage necessitated modifications to make him the second assistant robot to Mega Man. Eddie's function is that of an item deployer, providing Mega Man with extra power, ammunition, and E-tanks. However Eddie's subspace storage was still in the experimental stage when he was first deployed, so the item that he gives out is completely random more often than not, sometimes resulting in him digging around to find something he actually wants to give the Blue Bomber. He can deploy his item in one of two ways-- either pulling it out manually or launching it, which can be used for offensive purposes if he finds himself in a tight spot. Though Eddie doesn't do much in the way of talking, his behavior suggests that he's eager to please, albeit something of a coward as he's liable to run and hide in a combat scenario (though it's justified in that he initially had no combat capabilities whatsoever.) Later modifications would enable him to fly and deploy bombs.

    bright man.png
Originally developed as an emergency lighting system, Bright Man was the first of the Cossack units and the first to be repurposed for combat against Mega Man. His main weapon, the Flash stopper, isn't so much a weapon as it is an incredibly effective tool-- by creating an intense enough flash of light from the bulb atop his head he activates an industry-standard feature in other robots, temporarily shutting down their optic feed and stopping them in their tracks, thus leaving them vulnerable to his custom-built spread buster. Among the most intelligent members of the Cossack bots, Bright Man is highly technically proficient and good at thinkng on his feet, but has a tendency to drone on with the technobabble and bore his colleagues to death. He hates red light districts and will avoid them as best as he possibly can. In his spare time Bright Man runs a video store.

    toad man.png
The second Cossack unit, Toad Man was created with the purpose of bringing rain to areas in drought, but a note of personal pride for him was that he was Kalinka's playmate when she was extremely young. When he was repurposed for combat, his rain flush was traded out for acid rain, but Dr Wily, believing this wasn't enough on its own ("who's going to take a TOAD MAN seriously?") decided to go the extra mile and give Toad Man a powerful combat form, granting him greater physical strength and a far more intimidating presence. To date this is one of the only aspects of the whole debacle that Toad Man actually appreciates, as it lets him better protect the family. Despite his ridiculous appearance he is incredibly skilled in meteorology and botany, and like the animal he's based off of, is incredibly agile and surprisingly quick for a robot of his bulk. Friendly and sociable, Toad Man is well-liked by his colleagues and especially Kalinka for his role in her upbringing, though he is a bit tone-deaf. In his spare time he enjoys practicing long-jumping, taking care of Dr. Cossack's garden with Pharoah man, and spending time with Kalinka. He is incredibly disturbed by Snake Man.
