Cool Ideas.
Back in the beastie era I had also thought of this, only I was considering Having a Cerberus Prime.
he was kind of like a cross between Cybertron Scourge and RID Bruticus having dogs heads for shoulders.

Thanks Blaster_Prime for the great sig!!

While Mythical beasts are 'great', I would much rather something along the 'FUZOR' technology...

I always thought something like how the pods left on ancient earth crashed and were left untouched, and one by one they were 'activated' at different times of human civilization and depending on thier forms make up a majority of Earth's mythology...

Imagine Dragons being based on a lizard/bat FUZOR which activated during the middle ages?

Maybe the Minotaur was a Bull beast mode robot who looked like a 'bull man' in robot mode.

All sorts of beast modes could be designed to explain earth mythology...

So let the old timers wail, drape themselves in ash and sackcloth. This Transformers, as Isenberg noted, is not for them. And I get the feeling it will do quite well with its own generation of fans.
