This is amazing work, Paxtin - both designs are very well thought out, with plenty of personality. Bumblebee looks like he'd be a hell on wheels troublemaker, while Optimus looks focused and competent. You've done an excellent idea of taking the Animated aesthetic and altering it to suit your needs. It's more obvious on Optimus than Bumblebee, given their proportions. You also did an excellent job on creating believable, simple-to-decipher transformation schemes, which even TFP doesn't do. I especially like how you had Bumblebee's design copy his G1 self, only to turn out very differently. With Optimus, I like how you had practically every piece of glass come together on his chest, and of how you designed his head. You did an excellent job of breaking up the plane of grey on his face by adding in the Optimus Primal-style faceplate. Also, the head crest and cheek guards remind me of a Spartan's helmet for some reason. As a side note, I've seen a few of the semis with windows in the sleeper section, so I didn't think it was anything unusual. I'm curious to see your Megatron and Starscream. Thanks for posting these, Paxtin. I didn't know you could do something like this so well.
Ooooh, those designs are gorgeous! I'm loving Optimus' particular look, with the back section of truck splitting into the arms (that panel on the forearm is neat), and the upper windows sliding over the doors, which in turn slide over the lower windows. Interesting take on the iconic window chest I like the legs, particularly the wheels folding to the foot and the headlights and grill on the abdomen are neat. And the head design is pretty awesome; it's similar yet different to other Optimus', and the blue ridge between the eyes and mouth is a neat addition! I note his blue and red is lighter than other Optimus', and I find even this mere chromatic difference interesting And my goodness, is that chaingun formed from the truck's cylinder-tank-thing? Unf, I love you. My only question is where the front wheels go. Do they fold around the back? And Bumblebee! That's an awesome design right there! I'm loving the sides of the car, with the wheels and the headlights, forming the arms; the bulkier look of the arms contrasts the thinner legs neatly, which I also adore. Look the bumper over the feet and the oh-so smooth sloping lower legs! Ha, that's neat The roof/windshield torso is a nice callback to G1, and I like how it's primarily black compared to the more obvious yellow of the rest of him; with the blue windshield right underneath, it adds a more colour-versatile brightness to him The door wings are cool, and I'm liking your head design. The bright optics and enthusiastic grin speak wonders about a very confident Bee, and I gotta say, the sides of his head with the little black lines and the two black stripes right above the eyes are pretty well done. Ha, the head stripes kinda look like giant eyebrows from this angle These two characters have already enticed me for more! More, I say, more!
I don't know if my body could handle a Paxtin-styled Megatron and Starscream. ... Only one way to find out. Paxtin, MY BODY IS WAITING.
Given that Cartoony is in the now at this point these pieces seem to fit in with the rest well. Both designs are pretty great only I feel that Prime's legs are a bit stubbier in comparison to his torso.
That's kinda funny, given when I was drawing him I made his legs shorter, cause I thought he looked too lanky. Working on it.
Starscream as usual look promising! His face reminds me in a way like Draken from Kim Possible to be honest.
I was actually going for more 90s animated Joker, but I can see what you mean. Ah well...That's too bad.
Hamill Joker wearing a hat as Starscream? I approve of this. The nose looks a little weird, maybe because Optimus and BB have the Animated/Prime approach to noses (i.e. helmet extensions) but Starscream's nose seems to be a separate piece. Maybe it'll make more sense when it's coloured, who knows.
