| Hot Slag! Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 5,202 News Credits: 1 | I liked the first one a lot, period. The second one, I think in concept is great, but I wish it had been "in fiction" instead. As it reads, (and I think this was the intent), it's an adult-fan's childhood expression of enthusiasm for the brand recreated. I think what would have been more powerful would have been if instead this was framed as the expressive work of a child IN the G1 universe who had encountered/witnessed/been-saved-by the Transformers. Especially in contrast to modern story telling where the adults humans on Earth often react sensibly to giant alien robots (i.e. with caution, mistrust, fear), a child might well react by thinking "THIS IS AWESOME" even when faced with the realities of these titans. Which would be interesting to explore. Just a thought ![]() ![]() My Custom Feedback Thread |
