I loved working on Arcee so much that I've started working on Megatron.

Here are a couple early screenshots

Nice one! Really looking forward to the end result, after what i saw with Arcee. You could try making some design tweaks after you finish the models, it will make them more different and special.

Really? I'll have to check into that. I'm still using Max 8. Does Softimage have any major advantages that you know of?

I've never worked on Max. I've only used Softimage and Maya.

I do prefer Softimage over Maya. The interface is easier to understand and navigate than Maya IMO

Looking good there, grimmlock! Assuming my eyes aren't failing me, are you using Sub-D Surfaces with edge weights to establish the creasing for hard edges? That's what it appears to me, vs the traditional method of shoring up edges with a chamfer/bevel. I'm curious if that time of data can be transferred to other applications. I know with MODO's P-SUBS, the edge weight data can be read in Maya.

Thanks Star Scracker. it's actually just a smooth mesh preview. I will be subdividing the mesh soon. As for the edges, I kind o use both. I use a hard edges on certain instances and I also use bevel.

    Hey guys, here's an update

Modeling, texturing, and rigging have all been completed. Time to render later on tonight but I wanted to show you what Megatron looks like before rendering a scene.

I think the glow effect is too strong. I'll play around with the next set of renders.

While I think the rest of the design is great, the top of Megatron's head looks a bit to small. Just my overcritical 2 cents. Everything else looks pretty much spot-on.
