Yes. I wouldn't get these bits for most Kreons, but for Omega Supreme or Devastator or one of the other big guys these would be perfect.
Playing around with the parts I've found a few more ways to assemble them. Snake arms.. Hook hands.. Monkey arms and midget feet..
Thanks, I'd love to see my designs being put to use Thanks a lot, this is my first shapeways project, but I've got a lot of stuff brewing in my head XD A quick shop-job to show what it might look like if you were to order the parts in the Red or Blue Strong and Flexible materials Also potentially Daniel from the 86 movie XD
these new pics are making me reconsider what I said a twitter a bit. This could do wonders for that devastator kreon
I'm glad to hear it I was taking another look at the new combiners coming out and my forearm parts/hands would fit right onto them; swapping out the existing forearm and 2 leg/hand thing 1 for 1 without any modifications or extra parts I need to get one in hand to be sure though, of course Thanks! working on a torso upgrade next
a torso upgrade? at that point it sound like it might be better to just build your own figure, there won't be much kreon left by that point
very true, and that thought has been bugging me. I think I have a way to add on to the existing torso rather than replace it. Though my current design requires 2 torsos. Also I'm trying to figure out a way to make more parts that can be reused in different ways.
Thanks, the full set is available in my shop at the "beta" price (no markup on my end) until I get the kinks worked out. Namely the hands and finger joints. Once I get everything 100% I'll make small parts kits available so folks can mix and match colors. Thanks
Thanks On this morning's train ride I sketched out design ideas for more parts... primarily connector and adapter pieces but also a few new parts that will combine to form a torso upgrade (w/ ab crunch) or could be used as new feet. Maybe some other stuff too, I'm not sure till I can play with them in hand.
For those interested, I've broken up the parts into separate sets and kits to make it easy to mix and match colors for those that want their parts pre-colored rather than having to paint them. Getting a full kit is still the most economical option though simply because of the way Shapeways charges for stuff. I'm more than happy to put together custom layouts for those that want to "gang mold" a set of parts, in order to keep costs down. Just shoot me a PM, IM, whatever. I really like the idea for the upper torso. If the figures got the add on pieces for their limbs, they'd definitely look a lot better with some to make the main body seem a bit more proportional.
Thanks man, I kinda like the cartoony proportions with the small torso but the beefed up torso would add more pegs to build up on and further customize figures... in fact on this evenings ride I worked out several new parts that will aid in the realization of a Kreon Omega Supreme
a KreoN omaga supreme, that and a Kreon full combined instead of one figure Devastator would be amazing
that's actually on my to-do list when the Kreon Combiners come out. That and unique heads for them all ...and hands.
