Hey Oolong got an idea for you to ponder. I was lookin at a few alternate formations for Bruticus to get a few ideas in my head. One of them involved turning the arms so that the legs were at the shoulders to connect to the shoulders and the heads at the wrist. Would it be possible to be able to extend the wrist section of your hand pieces and replace the peg with a hole for the sake of variety?
hmmn... not totally sure what you mean about flipping the arm around. Got any pics? I could make a new model but how many do you think would be interested in it?
no pics, but basically instead of using the hole in the bottom of the joint piece as a wrist it uses the neck peg. I honestly don't know if it would be worth it or not. Just an idea I had
Great stuff! Have you given any thought of maybe doing a one sided back plate with a single peg or multi peg, so we can show of the paint apps on the kreon figs?
Thanks a lot. To answer your questions, no I havnt, but I wouldn't anyway on account of Hasbro already makes those parts. I know a few from wave 1 of the blind backs have a "cape" that has a 4 post panel on the back. Personally I take a knife to all the "flak vests" I get and cut the front part off so I get the attachment points on the back but still show off the great tampos. Plus buying a new Kreon just for its cape or vest and hacking it, is going to be way faster and cheaper than getting something from Shapeways
Combiner helmets Finally managed to scrounge together the time to model the helmets for the Kreon combiners though now it would appear that I have 3 more to do... Not totally happy with Superion as I think it's too wide so I may redo it. The others I'm happy with. Once I redo Superion then it's accessory parts. Those will be the hardest to do without having any toys in hand. I'm starting to feel like all they hype is dying down, the reviews have all been done but the sets still aren't around me nor have my preorders shipped... Also, for those interested, the deluxe upgrade hands are now available for testing in the shop. I have a set of each on order and I'm just waiting for them to ship.
