| Mini-Con Join Date: Sep 2011 Posts: 1 | Suggestions! Yes!!! Thank you so much for making something like this; I thought I was going to have to forge up one myself, but this looks like it will be perfect! Since you're taking the time with this mold, might I suggest that you consider improving on a few of his other aesthetic flaws? For example, his shoulder armor parts are much too round, whereas compared to the show, they reach out more and aren't so tall. On the toy, they come over his head and make him look like he's shrugging all the time. Could you form some new shoulder pads as well, possibly as a separate kit? Lastly, this figure's head is rather dirpy. The face is inaccurate to the show model and has awkward kitty lips with wide, blank eyes, and the chin spikes don't clear his chin and meet quite like they're supposed to. Along with the gun and these shoulders, could you guys make a new head with a slightly longer stalk on the ball to free up the articulation as well? All these fixes would totally redeem this figure and make it the best Megatron ever, especially after customization. Thanks so much for listening to my ideas, and I do hope you have the time, patience, and willingness to carry this out. Seeing your first designs shows great promise, and I eagerly look forward to prototypes. Thank you! -Cam |

I do not have much issue with the actual figure, at least none that involve massive part replacement short of it's armaments of course. The biggest obstacles to new shoulder armor and a new head is that the intensely curved shapes both areas would require. A new longer neck could help with his ability to turn his head more. As for the actual sculpt of the head, I think it is okay, the face having a darker metallic paint would help. That and painting his eyes red. The shoulder armor... It needs two things. Better struts with an added joint in the middle. And more open balljoints so the armor can rest a bit lower. Both a new neck joint and new armor struts might be doable. I will add them to the "Idea List". ![]() Want one? Please click below: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/commis...grade-kit.html |
