I don't know about Skyquake being Starscream...Starscream actually has Movie Starscream's face as a chest, so its hard for me to imagine that body style being anyone else, and Starscream having a different body. But your plans look good regardless Good luck bringing them to reality.
My lord SS will be movie SS in prime style. Hence Skyquake mold. The larger body makes him more of a threat and in my mind is how he should be. I'm making a background story to go with everything. But I don't like Starscream being puny compared to Megatron. I think physically he should be close as well as cunning.
These are great, but I can't believe you missed the most obvious Skyquake repaint... a Darkwind to SS's Dreadwing!!!
Thanks hehe Sideways was sort of a "duh!" moment for me... He was one of my favourite movie character designs from the get go who really never got a good toy. So while I stared at the design of the Vehicon thinking "WTF am i going to do with this?" it sorta hit me like a ton of bricks. Uh no. I had Lord SS planned long before my voyager Dreadwind Idea. Dreadwind was also not what I planned to do from the get go, he was sort of an afterthought when browsing lists of jet transformers and his jet mode was close to Prime SS. I don't think Skyquake was an "obvious" Darkwing Because Dreadwind was just thrown in. As well as nobody currently knows if the voyager Skyquake will BE Skyquake or the Dreadwing version of the mold. (which would just feel stupid doing Dreadwind and Darkwing when their combo mode is "Dreadwing" and Darkwing who in the marvel G2 comics was upgraded into "Dreadwing") It just feels redundant. When I saw the mold I KNEW I'd be tuning him into Movie SS in a Prime style. That is all I plan to do with him.
Whoa dude, this is a fun thread, not a "your ideas suck mine are better than yours" thread. I just saw your Dreadwind and figured he was missing his partner. Can't have one without the other, but whatevs. Hope whatever you decide repainting you have fun with it
You misread my comment with an incorrect tone of voice (DAMN YOU EMOTIONLESS INTERWEBS!). I was just saying that it wasn't obvious because Lord SS was my only choice for the mold.
I actually did think about that because his slender face sort of does match up. but one of the issues is that in TFP the Autobots have either very squared bodies or rounded bodies... the sharpest being Arcee... Whereas the Decepticons are very pointy and sharp. I'm thinking I will wait and see. (poll decides... after all) If I get a second Voyager SS I may customize him heavily (rounding off the sharp bits... maybe even INTO a pterodactyl) as Swoop. But I will also see what figs are coming out. I think i want to challenge myself and do Slipstream out of the dlx Airachnid (cmon HasTak give me a picture to work with) and after Orion Pax pt. 3 I am HOPING for an Insecticon figure. (voyager plz). I saw the altmode resemblance and that's why i picked him haha. Sort of an afterthought but it came out well... I just wouldn't do the bright bright eighties G1 colours on him.
Thin Insecticon Digibash a thin Insecticion that i am currently making. Made from animated swoop, BM Skydive, movie skids, and a heavily modded combined mode head from the helicopter powercore combiner. (digibash has a real vehicon head) he will have some vestigial arms and a customized weapon set that will become part of his beetle mode.
