So what ever happened to that Predacon you said you were going to be working on a few pages back? I'm still guessing at Megatron and I want to see who it is.
Hi all, honestly I have been quite distracted about tackling the next character, aka the Predacon I mentioned. Instead I worked on the poster images you saw a few pages ago. Today I completed a really lazy piece of artwork, I wanted to make all the BW prime heads and see what they would look like together. I will get down to the next character soon. Btw the characters in the image (from left to right) Lio-Convoy, Optimus Primal, Great Convoy, Big Convoy, and Prowl(Lio Junior) from Magnaboss.
They Cypertronian equivalent of putting a head in a jar ala Futurama. I'm sure those 5 are always yelling at each other.
Primal does look a little odd with his face plate open. You should really render the closed version for him which he does use occasionally in the cartoon. Also it's a little odd that the original Optimus is missing from this line up but Lio Jr/Prowl gets to be in there. He's not even a Prime/Convoy though he does have the same type of head design. They're actually the reason in my fan fiction why all the Prime's look like Optimus.
Something I've been thinking about... Grand Convoy is only a minor character in Beast Wars Neo and you never really see what he looks like under that cape. Being that he's the only other character to be named and there's only one other toy of an "Optimus" type character has anyone ever thought he transformed into a bat? Like that Bat Primal and Grand Convoy might actually be the same character. Because I did... mostly because I just wanted him to look like SOMETHING other than a cape with Optimus Prime's head.
Hi all, I'm sorry I slipped off the earth for a while back there. Have been working on this character for some time now and believe it or not this is actually the 3rd version of him. Scrapped the first 2 since they somehow didn't do justice to either the tf character or the animal he turns into. In some ways I still am not 100% satisfied with the result, somehow that pink and green just ruins any design. So without further procrastinating here he is, the greatest Megatron after G1 Megatron (and even that's debatable). As always C&C welcome, invited and extremely helpful Bot mode soon, unless I get caught on redoing the rex mode. *EDIT* - Image moved to page 24
Doesn't look like there's much meat on that skull of his. Normally the fenestrae (the 'holes' in the skull) wouldn't be even hinted at in a live animal. It doesn't help that he's got a healthy heft in the rest of the body. Otherwise, amazing work and I can't wait to see bot mode.
Maybe, but it does make him look more fierce and intimidating. Can't wait to see his robot mode as well.
