Been working on knuckles for my OP. My approach requires completely recreating his left forearm, and since I want to keep him transformable getting this precisely like the current is a challenge. I have no idea if this will even be successful but I wanted something truly unique.

Lots of work left but measurements are matching up and it's looking right.

Finally came up with a solution that I'm content with on OP's forearm with knuckles. Set up the pieces on a sprue to get a test print which has been ordered. Shapeways says they're a bit behind on WSF so hopefully I can still get it this month.

Thanks mate! The price of it is getting scary, but I'm hoping that I can get most of it modeled by the time I find work again.

Finally got started on OP's shield. The colors are just to help me distinguish the parts as I'm modeling. The objective is to get something close to the shield he uses while battling Shockwave and the driller Decepticon.

Except for maybe the gears, everything else is just proxy models at the moment.

I think I've finalized the mechanics for the shield. Should be read to send off for a prototype next week. The objective is to rotate the handle, which releases the springs that unfolds the shield.

Still have to finish the shield sides and a few other details.

Thanks! This is the initial sample. I shortened the handle a bit and reduced the size of the handle end to get cost down.

This version goes with FakeBusker's hands. I have modeled a handle to fit OP's standard hands but I haven't ordered a sample just yet.

Very cool, but it seems a bit over sized, even for the leader class figure. Any chance of scaling it down a bit more to match the scale from the movie? If so, I really interested in purchasing it!
