Hello! This is my work in progress thread for my contest entry. I opted to take Boom Box and realize him as a next-gen AAA video game character for some stylish box art! I had some time during lunch so I made the bust of our loveable mascot. and...done! WIP: Comments and Critiques are more than welcome!
Thanks guys! I just finished and posted in the official thread. I will post them here as well on the top post.

Is that mesh water-tight? Have you ever printed anything via shapeways? I wonder if Tony-B might like a bust of that.
I haven't printed anything through shapeways yet, though that's always been a goal of mine. This particular piece isn't water tight just because it was intended to be quickly made for illustrative purposes, though it wouldn't take long to have it ready for print.
That looks reeeeeally good man, good luck in the contest thumb: though i gotta ask-why the Con symbol behind Boombox? lol
Thanks! As for the Con symbol I wanted it to appear that there was a looming threat in the background to give the idea that there is some type of plot in the fictional game I was portraying...if that makes any sense.
You made that during lunch!? It looks awesome! The overall textures and the Decepticon symbol remind me of the TF Armada game for the PS2. Definitely one of the best entries I've seen so far!
very nice work. The bust "feels" very solid, and I dig the style of it. I'd love to see the whole bot done in this style. What's the poly count on this guy? I imagine that he'd be too detailed to try to convert into a papercraft....
