So. I've just got my first TF: Prime figure and surprise surprise it's Starscream! Excellently designed little guy, but lacking in a few aspects.

I got him actually because I got a request to create a show-accurate single missile accessory, but I realised there are a few more things we can do. I couldn't stand the overly soft plastic Hasbro used for some parts, so I want to replace them with harder, sharper pieces.

My current plan for the set is to include:
    - single missile launcher
    - 3 missile launcher (to replace the soft plastic one)
    - knee spikes
    - possibly head spike
    - null-ray-ish cannons on 5mm pegs to attach to his forearm? They can still be mounted on the side of the jet.

My question is, what else is there in the show that he should have or you want to see in this set? Let me know and I'll cook it up!

What kind of Starscream are you talking about? EDIT: Nvm, put 2 and 2 together and realized its the TFP Starscream.

That Dreads set sounds awesome. I'm glad at least someone is doing something about our total lack of Crowbar. By any chance will there be a new head mold to convert Crankcase to Crowbar? Lastly, any plans regarding Hatchet?

In your original post, you mentioned a DOTM Shockwave hose? What specifically is that? Just a far more flexible version, possibly with more length to allow more movement?

One more thing that popped into my head. Have you considered any modifications that could be made to the Deluxe TF1 Jazz toy? I'm not sure if it is possible to do anything for him, but is there hope for a more satisfactory figure? lol

    TF :p  Prime haha...

Regarding the Dreads, currently I have no plans for any head mold for Crankcase->Crowbar, since the head itself is pretty tough to remove and I think I should just leave the customisers to their own devices regarding how they want to best mod the head. But you never know dude, I might change my mind at the last minute.
No plans for Hatchet, since he is too different from the other 2 to make a cost effective conversion set. Sorry!

For the DOTM Shockwave hose, it's more like a plastic chain that looks hose-like. I thought it would be interesting to use 3D printer technology to create a ready-assembled plastic chain linked completely by loose ball joints. The length can be easily adjusted once I get my sample.

Nah, no plans for TF1 Jazz. The mold is so squeezed together there's not much I can think of to do to it. I can't even give him proper hands.

Sounds good. 1 new 'Con is better than none IMO. For a Crowbar conversion though, are you designing those lengthy back "tentacles"?

Shame about Jazz, but you have a point. He's far to bulky for anything significant.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the Shockwave hose. I'd like to have something thats allows more mobility with the arm cannon.

I'm really excited to hear more about the Dreads stuff. There are a lot of customizers giving them various treatments. Shapeways dreadlocks would get a lot of use, I think.

    Excited to hear about this.

Perhaps you would also be interested in making TF: Prime Arcee's blasters? :D

His cannon that transforms from his arm. You could make it fit over his hand when folded up.

TFP Bumblebee has two blasters on the show, one for each forearm, but only one on the toy. Same for TFP Optimus and his blasters/swords. Any thoughts on duplicating those for the opposite arm?

I think for those figures it'd be more cost effective to buy second figures to get second guns. Even if the printing itself were fairly cheap, you'd get hit by shipping, which would up the price considerably.

I agree with this, but better swords for HFTD Battle-Blades Optimus that equip like TFP Optimus. The swords he already have are a nuisance since they easily lose their grip and difficult to keep flipped straight out.

I'm pretty sure if someone with a Shapeway's account begins duplicating flimsy stock parts (like HFTD Primes blades) with Shapeway's materials would reword themselves with MANY MANY purchases!

A big YES on a replacement crest for DLX Starscream.

Agreed a new non-floppy sword(s) for Optimus would be good option to
    offer as well.

Yep, I have plans to do some sort of tentacle system. Radicons seem to need tentacles for many things now like Ravage tails, Dreadlocks, Soundwave satellite-rape scenes, etc and there seems to be no good solution beside those crappy Dr Ock rubber ones.

Shockwave's hose, if the sample works well, will be made public by Dec 31. Stay tuned!

Yuyuyami makes sense...even though I'd love if people order my stuff, but with the delivery charges it simply does not make sense to come up with an item you can get cheaper and faster from retail. I'm afraid if you want 2 blasters for Prime and Bumblebee you'd have to get a second figure...

    Arcee's blasters. YES.
    Slipstream's head. Maybe?
Optimus' sword. Yeah, eventually I'll do that. I have to wait for him to be released here first. I can still do one for the deluxe though...

    Starscream's cannon. I probably should...
I've finished Starscream's set, with missiles, head crest, knee spikes, etc. I can also add his cannon, no problem, but I'm wondering if that will be superfluous especially with the voyager (awesome.) coming out.

I don't think I'll be doing a specific blade for HFTD OP...But I'll be releasing the OP blade I'm working on with the 5mm handle that can be used for most OP molds, so watch out for that!

Your wish will be granted, sir :)

Those unfortunately will not work for HFTD Optimus because his hands don't have 5mm ports.

This is the best picture I could find:

Battle Blades Optimus Prime - Toy Gallery - Photo #64

As you can seen, the ports on his hands are more like rectangular slots. I understand if you don't want to dabble in this, but I'm trying to think of ways to make this simpler. Here is just one I had. If some replacement hands with 5mm ports were designed to replace his current ones, then that might work better to go with the swords you are designing.

By the way, I received the some of your products today and I love the detail in all of them. Starscream's hands turned out to be superb, along with Sentinel's sword. I just need to make a complet 5mm hold in both of Sentinel's hands so he may properly wield that vicious double blade. I do have a recommendation for the Voyager Starscream set though. Would it be possible to craft a saw blade to go with it? I was sad to see Hasbro never take the opportunity to include that form of weaponry with any of their movie Starscream toys. Another suggestion would be some possible boosters to attach on his back? You could easily make use of the pegs normally used by the missiles given with the original toy for those. I may have suggested these to you before in the past, but just in case, here it is again. I'd love to hear what you have to say regarding all this.

Lastly, going back to your DLX Dreads set, what exactly are the improvements you plan on making to Crankcase's forearms? Could you be more specific as to what you are planning on doing? I'm really curious as to what you meant by that.
