Hey Ariel, I saw you did a custom Blackjack piece! I saw Vangelus mention in his review of Blackjack that it's a missed oppertunity to not have Blackjack's axe form the hilt of the Menasor sword, so my question is: How difficult would it be to come up with something that would accomplish this? Might make the PE sword upgrade look a bit more balanced too, instead of starting really thin and getting really wide towards the center.

It *shouldn't* be too difficult, except I couldn't decide how to resolve the issue with the handles. Should Menasor hold the sword using the original long sword handle or use the one of the axe? Should the axe handle fold away so it won't obstruct the other handle?

Could the hilt envelope both sides of the sword for symmetry's sake instead of pegging in one side? Decisions decisions...

I vote for it to envelope, instead of pegging. :)

Yeah, envelope would work best probably with how long Menasor's sword handle is. You could also keep the gun configuration of the current one, so that you still retain the mounting post. Then it'd just be a case of having a peg hole run through the length of the axe and giving one end end of the gun a longer post for it to peg on.

Finally got the Prime Breakdown bits that I ordered during that 50% off sale... and it's the first time I ordered WSF, unpolished. The Hammer looks just fine, but the gun, which was far more detailed, definitely shows the material's roughness. Fortunately, they'll be dyed into black, so this roughness will be mostly a non-issue later on.

Ain't just the extra detail looking rough, but slopes don't do too well with 3D printing as layer lines are more obvious on those surfaces. Glad they work out for you though!

Greetings everyone! So through a recent purchase of a WFC Soundwave I have been able to acquire the Thugger twins. They look to be made of WSF material.
Seeing as many of you look like previous owners of other Shapeways products, is there any best way to prepare and paint these guys up? I've never done this before so any tips or tricks would be dandy.

    Hi aaadriiann,

WSF is pretty forgiving in terms of painting. You don't even need to prime or top coat it (but you can choose to). Paint as per normal with brush or airbrush using modelling grade paints.

Be aware that due to the porous nature of the material there will be slight bleed on the edges of paint.

Any chance you could add a MP upscaled versions of the two Starsaber and Forge of Souls Prime for use with MP figures? [specifically for use with MP-10 and Apollyon and Nemesis Prime/MP-10B]

    Star Sabers? I don't think I did any...only the Deicidium, I believe. https://www.shapeways.com/product/3Z5VSEUZH/the-deicidium-part-a

The hammer is already quite huge (that the hammer head slightly bends the handle under its weight). How much bigger do you want it?

Any chance you could show off a pic of the hammer with MP-10? I am really curious to see how the starsaber and the forge look; scale wise; with MP TF figures.

Alas, I don't have an MP-10 (I'd love to have one though)

Have you seen the Flickr gallery? It might give you a clue on scale: https://www.flickr.com/photos/fakebusker83/albums/72157632144429691

Unlikely, given the problems I had with the Windblade mold. What's wrong with the current head?

Have you ever considered doing a new head for Generations Chromia? Her current one is really tiny.
