FUD really IS a great material to use when applied correctly. I'm glad that print turned out well for you. The head looks fabulous!
In fact, your print looks better than what FUD looks like most of the time. Often I get rough patches due to an error in the process. Your print is what I would get on a good day.

    Painted him up yet?

not yet, i have a bunch of little things i was to paint, so I'm gonna wait till i get some good red spray paint for my Pyro kit. then paint everything i have.

ill definitely be sure to post when he's painted up

is there anyway to clean up the WSF better? i tried painting the white parts once but it got really fuzzy, so i sanded most off as best as i could, but its still really fuzzy

I was gonna mention that as well, that has to be one of the best FUD prints I have seen and if that was the quality they had every time I would use them again.

Looks amazing and I live that design FB

Hey lemon, what are your plans for AOE figures? Such as Voyager Grimlock.. even though I dont have him.. YET! I cant get over his tail weapon "intergration" or lack there of.. was thinking a better transforming mace that blends better as a tail in dino mode (maybe make it flexable), and splits to fit in his fist(s?) in bot mode. Think about it!

I note that the idea of an IDW Pharma head has been pitched to you earlier in the thread for the Gen Armada Starscream. Do you have any word on if this is being worked on currently, already out there on Shapeways, way out there on the to-do list, or no plans to do it list?

    Thanks. :)

Well, AoE figures definitely need a lot of help. After watching reviews I can tell there'll be a demand for a bunch of Shapeways/3rd party models. Yea, voyager Grimlock could do well with a new tail/mace!

I have my Armada Starscream in hand, but I am working on a bunch of non-Shapeways stuff now. I hope to have something done for him in a few weeks. I'll try to find a one-two day gap between projects to create that head. Thanks for asking!

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on your thread. I want to enjoy the Armada Starscream mold as it is for a few days before ripping him apart and starting a repaint anyhow :D  Plus my own way of doing repaints is digging through the comics and grabbing screenshots of the character from all angles so I can paint it correctly :)

On the note of AOE figures - how about a second tech 9 blaster (the 1 larger gun the toy comes with) for AOE Crosshairs? I've noticed several toy reviewers wishing he came with a 2nd one.

fakebusker: Also with my Armada Starscream in hand and using Milne's art as a base, think anything can be done for the shoulders? The tall white parts with the horizontal red vents? It might make it a partsformers or non-transformable though....

Wings easily flop to opposite sides and upside down works, haven't attempted transforming it. And I removed those silly launchers. :)

Other options to go with it if you are up to it is swap out a hand for a chainsaw. :)

Hi all, here is a pair of SMGs for you. Designed for AOE deluxe Crosshairs and made to be as movie accurate (well, trailer accurate) as possible. T'was a quick, fun project and I hope you guys like it!
Crosshairs was sorely lacking in the dual-wielding department, and I figured if I don't release a set like this one, someone else will.

Anyway, I will test these soon but for now you can get them at 'test prices' on Shapeways.
    Cheers everyone!

You can order these bad boys at:

Is there ANY way of creating a part that by installing it would reverse voyager Grimlocks jaw gimmick?! Making it instead of spring loaded open, to spring loaded closed? Using the same spring included with him?

Have you tried messing around with the mechanism? This sounds like a hackable solution, not really needing an extra Shapeways part.

But I can't be sure. I don't have the voyager in hand.
