Thanks Ryoku. Always been nice having your feedback, ever since the days of Fremble. :)

    Cybertron Beastbox

Being the huge Soundwave fan I am, minions are a necessity. Without minions for Cybertron Soundwave readily available, I figured I'd make one using the Cartridge Robot Beast on Shapeways.

I painted Beastbox with Games Workshop's Liche Purple and Codex Grey. He was detailed with Mephiston Red, Trollslayer Orange and Enchanted Blue.

And of course, he transforms into his hexagonal alternate mode to fit inside Soundwave's chest.

Thanks for looking, and as always, comments and criticisms are welcome and thoroughly appreciated. :thumb

    Heh, yeah, Robo-Yoga Soundwave. Don't worry, you're not missing out...much. :D

And anyways, Cartridge Robot Beast makes for a pretty decent custom Beastbox even without Soundwave! :)

    WIP: Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded

Revisiting the original Cartridge Robot. The original was nice, however improvements to the basic design from Ejector along with the development of Beast and Ravager have led to more possibilities with FR.

FR Upgraded aims for a more detailed and better articulated toy, with an improved head sculpt. Armour is being streamlined for better motion, joints are being reworked for ease of assembly and almost everything is getting more detailed!

Hope you all like what I've got so far of Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded. :)

As always, comments and criticisms are welcome and argumentatively appreciated. :thumb

Yes! I can totally imagine Onslaught pistol-whipping Swindle for trying to sell off Brawl's brain again or something. XD I'm sorry I couldn't order this set, I really wanted it but Shapeways is getting expensiiiiiiiiive, so I could only get about a tenth of my full wish list in my last order. D:

You're telling me! I have to test everything I design! If only I had an infinite supply of money... :cry  :lol

That said, you've now got me wondering... Could Onslaught pistol-whip Swindle, given FOC Swindle is taller than Onslaught, and Onslaught's arm articulation is questionable at best?

So, now that there's a Beastbox, I'll be expecting drafts for a combining Squawkbox on my desktop tomorrow morning.

(Seriously, though, that would be awesome if it could work.)

:lol  I actually didn't plan on making a Sqwawktalk at first. I thought we already had the official Lazerbeak with Soundwave to fill our aviaries. That said, I do know of a few design choice in Cartridge Robot Beast that make it...possible...to make him combine with a bird.

Can't wait to see it! :)

    GFB-070 Strikecharge Exceed

"After the success of the Sabretooth as EFF cover fire, Madorna Workshop was secretly contracted to make a second Exceed, one that would increase EFF firepower to levels not seen before. The result was the GFB-070 Strikecharge Exceed, a unique mesh of stealth and strength with a sense of humour all its own.

Strikecharge was Madorna Workshop's attempt at fooling Vagan pilots. While the unit possessed great firepower, the Strikecharge found its niche in the battlefield in its ability to switch from its Strike Jet form to either its Cannons and Rifle, or the dreaded "Blue Dragon". When attached to the G-Exes, the Strikecharge gave the unit firepower beyond the strength of the AGE-1's DODS weapons, and the Charge Cannons could automatically take down Vagan MS, or be personally controlled by skilled X-Rounder pilots. The X Rifle was a powerful gun, serving as a rapid-fire system for cover fire.

The Exceed was given the name "Blue Dragon" by Vagan and Bisidian alike, named after the shower of blue bolts unleashed by the Strikecharge's hidden dragon flyer form. With the X-Rifle detached, the Strikecharge's twin Charge Cannons could deploy as a standalone craft. With full access to the firepower of the Charge Cannons with little recoil, the Blue Dragon could easily outflank enemy MS. Playing mind games with the enemy was the Strikecharge's specialty; would you be fighting one heavily armed G-Exes, or have a twin headed dragon unleashing a flurry of bolts at you from who knows what angle?

While the Blue Dragon was a neat mind game and fun for pilots, the trick soon grew stale, and many EFF pilots found it quite cheap, even if it was effective. Vagan armies also adapted to the Blue Dragon's advent, fighting in pairs to reduce the dragon flyer's effectiveness. The Strikecharge also cost the G-Exes, and later the Shaldoll, the use of their rear thrusters, leaving the units slower than newer Vagan designs, which ultimately led to the decommissioning of the Strikecharge fleet. The Charge Cannons proved to be powerful weapons, though, and Bisidian adopted the technology for themselves in their Cloudlash Exceed fleet, while the AGE System used combat data from the Strike Cannons to forge the AGE-2's Double Bullet wear."

    WIP: Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded

Got a lot more detailing done. The main differences seen here are the glimpse of the new head sculpt and the new shoulder joint. The shoulders have been reworked to allow the arms to swivel further forward, along with being made easier to assemble.

Hope you all like what I've got so far of Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded. :)

    Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded

Developed for Cybertron Soundwave, Cartridge Robot FR was the first Cartridge design. The original FR design paved the way for Ejector/Rewinder, Ravager and Beast, each sporting improvements from FR. It's about time FR got the upgrade it needed, to compete with the newer Cartridge Robots.

Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded takes the original FR and gives it much better articulation, including an extended range of motion for the shoulder joint, better movement at the hips and extended upper legs to take advantage of the repositioned knee joint. The new knee joint also moves the lower legs back, more in line with the rest of his body, allowing FR to achieve more poses.

Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded retains his original incarnation's ability to arm twin pildrivers, doubling as blasters for long range combat.

And when the Earth simply isn't getting out of the way fast enough, improved articulation allows Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded to smash rocks with ease, twin piledrivers getting the job done.

Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded may be a departure from his original self, but a departure from Soundwave was never an option. When he needs to get somewhere fast, what better than folding up into his cartridge mode, a stealth bomber to carry him wherever he needs to go?

Hope you all like Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded. :)

Actually, it's not that small at all. I've built the original version, Ejector, Rewinder, Ravager and Beast. All of them Cartridges to fit in that mold, and the cartridge is surprisingly large.

The only pieces that's even remotely worrying is the double ball joint in the shoulders, but that's true for most double ball joint pieces anyway.

Holy crap man, Ive been looking through the thread and saw your Honeycomb Conversion kit and it looks spectacular O.O That and your Shadoll Ad-ons are really sweet. I'm surprised more people dont use Shapeways to make Gunpla conversion kits. I was watching 00 recently and realized things like the Renaldo and Hellion are just the Enact and Flag with a few extra parts slapped on and was like "why hasnt someone capatilized on this yet?" Anyways, keep up the good work! Hopefully, people will notice how awesome and idea this is and get to making conversion kits that dont cost 400 dolars (I'm looking at you B-Club) cause Bandai will probably never give us the HG Kronos, Zedyars, Thelvia and Fawn Farsia kits...hopefully someone will come to the rescue with that one.

Also that Onlslaught set is reeeeeally tempting. Good job!

that actually gave me an idea. Hey Tready, remember 00 when Graham added a GN Tau drive to his flag, if you ever grab a Flag unit that might be a pretty simple add on kit that shouldn't be too expensive. Food for thought

    *yawn*

*misses alarm, thankfully it's the festive season so no one cares*

Here's a quick size comparison of Cartridge Robot FR next to my Legion Vehicon. Keep in mind that Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded is slightly taller than the original model.

EDIT: A render of Cartridge Robot FR (left) and Cartridge Robot FR Upgraded (right). Due to a change in the knee joint, the legs of FR Upgraded were lengthened, resulting in a slightly taller robot mode.

Thanks ShokWave44. The Honeycomb Conversion Kit is definitely something I need to finish, if only I could find a GN Archer.

I'm currently considering more AGE accessories, in a similar vein as the Exceed models. As for full blown conversion kits, I don't really know if I'll be making them. Primus knows Honeycomb took long enough (I still haven't finished it!). When I get Honeycomb done, I'll consider more accessories for Gundam...

...assuming I don't tease Ranger Silver 6 with another Exceed before then. ;)

    *looks at his Flag model*

Yeah...I think my Flag needs a lot more than just a new Tau Drive... :lol  I should be more careful with transforming MS.

I'll keep it in mind, though. Thanks Ranger.
