from what others have said in the past. It's possible but the pegs need to be rescaled. But I don't do this stuff just what I have heard.

Now onto the figure, Rocket legs are always badass. But how did you come up with that name?

Hmm... I'll be honest and say that I don't have a deluxe Vehicon. Unfortunately I live in Perth Australia, which while a very nice place, has a real problem with always getting Transformers either half a year late or never at all. I only just found Prime Ratchet and Prime RID Arcee a few days ago, in one store, a few pegs away from the transformers section. We're a bit behind on transformers.

That said, up scaling isn't a problem when you have the 3D model of a single part. I won't be up scaling Zirca, though, as until I have a Deluxe Vehicon, I won't be entirely sure it will be accurate.

Ranger, I completely agree. Rocket legs are always badass. It's like an unspoken rule, things are always more awesome with rockets!

As for the name, you mean "Kriza"? That's just a name I use so I can search for it easily. I guess as an artist I'm used to just naming things. Some names have traceable origins (though often following rather esoteric connections), but even I've forgotten the origins of Kriza.

Currently looking at about Legends size in robot mode, though obviously the sniper rifle and swords will make the copter larger.

The size was chosen to keep it in scale as a support unit with HG 1/144 Gundam kits, as the sniper rifle and swords can be held by those Gundam models.

    WIP: "Kriza" Snipe-Copter

Added more detailing to the arms today. Going for a really detailed look rather than the sleek copter I had before. Aside from the rocket legs, Kriza will have detail like that on the arms now, all over him. Maybe even a few more guns. :)

I've also finally decided on how to use the cockpit part. Shoulder mounted missile launcher, anyone?

    WIP: "Kriza" Snipe-Copter

Little teaser before I fall asleep. I've finished the detailing on Kriza, so I should have the final product revealed tomorrow.

I decided to go with a detailed Kriza rather than a sleek one. More detail, more little engines blocks and guns, because obviously the laws of proper engineering and physics don't apply to fictional robots. ;)

Nice. I just don't like the face that you had before... Creepy! :lol  I'd rather have a more robotic/knight face on it. What's the size on this fig?

BTW, you can probably make this dock onto a ground vehicle...

more guns is never a bad thing. That ground vehicle thing might not be a bad idea. Maybe stores some missle launchers for gundams. Like Cybertron defense Scattorshot, when the missle turret is removed the coptor can dock. Daimchoc might be on to something

I really like the added details. This design is going to places that I like :)  I don't think it's possible w/ this design but I wouldn't mind seeing more articulation added in.

Hmm...Kriza does have as much articulation as I could put in it, which should allow it to pull off most poses. Aside from the rocket legs (which are only articulated at the hip), I put in ball-jointed shoulders and elbows joints. Admittedly the head doesn't swivel, but considering the figure is only 53mm tall, the articulation is what I would expect.

    AGA-014 "Kriza"

"If selling Quakebursts to Bisidian was questionable, AGA-014 "Kriza" was downright evil. Being contracted to create Exceeds had given Madorna Workshop the cover it needed to build AGA-014. "Kriza", developed in secret with no known relation to the Exceeds, was one of the few automatic MS to be created for the war. The supplies for "Kriza" brought in under the false pretense of target practice for the Exceeds, it wasn't long before AGA-014 took to war, no side aware of who piloted the mysterious copter.

Madorna Workshop's creation couldn't have worked any better. Cheap to manufacture, small enough to get away unseen and able to carry MS-scale weaponry including a sniper rifle and two swords, AGA-014 was loved by all who received its deliveries. No pilot ever cared where the weapons came from, nor why anyone would ever build a copter for space travel. As for Madorna Workshop, the more "Kriza" helped, the more units wrecked. Knowing the inner workings of AGA-014, Madorna Workshop had no issues selling armour, MS anti-copter weaponry and all forms of defense against "Kriza". The loss of AGA-014 units didn't matter, the cost of production far exceeded by the profits of anti-Kriza technology.

Of course, "Kriza" never just delivered weaponry. Able to use the sniper rifle itself, albeit laughably out of proportion, AGA-014 started as many conflicts as it 'aided' in. Delivery of its rotor-blade swords kept pilots satisfied while "Kriza" went about its trigger-happy ways. Add in a shoulder mounted missile launcher (packing two small, but powerful missiles) and "Kriza" didn't even have to be in the midst of battle to disable MS. The lack of targeting systems and tendency for missiles to explode mid-flight didn't matter; all suits were enemies of "Kriza", all casualties were welcome.

While AGA-014 was developed using the Exceeds as cover, it wasn't all a lie. "Kriza" did act as Exceed target practice; practice to ensure the targeting systems of the Exceeds worked when they docked with G-Exes and the Shaldolls. AGA-014 itself was in fact an Exceed, capable of docking with Shaldolls and G-Exes, a simple change of paintjob combined with the tendency for AGA-014 to remain unseen allowed Madorna Workshop to sell the best anti-Kriza technology: repainted Kriza units, the same ones that caused the casualties in the first place."

Hope you all like AGA-014 "Kriza", bringer of conflict and never out of fuel to throw on the fire.

If/when the Avasor swords are made available, how much will they cost? I'm thinking of adding a pair to my GDO Springer... which already has the Mega Moon Man add-on kit. The c-bars on the arms just seem empty and I think the Avasors might be a good fit.

Thanks Ranger. Nice digibashes by the way. :)

Hmm... Aside from a blue head with a light green visor, I idn't have many plans for the rest of Kriza. Considering it's supposed to be a mass produced unit, I would think different sides would paint their Kriza units differently Personally, I'm going to go for a desert tan colour scheme when I get my unit.

Avasor will sell in a set of 2, which should cost around $12 in WSF. It will include 2 Avasor FlipSwords, 2 Transformer Adapters and 2 Gundam Adapters.

Thanks for the interest Astrakhan. :)

That's a great price for a pair of them. Hope they'll go up for sale soon.

WIP: FOC Onslaught Upgrade Kit: Hinge Blaster

A weapon kit for FOC Onslaught, including a new gun and two hinge pieces. The hinges attach to Onslaught's legs and require no modifications to Onslaught. They are detachable, but do not need to be detached during transformation to any of Onslaught's 3 modes.

The hinges are located at the back of Onslaught's vehicle mode. The two hinge pieces peg into Onslaught using existing slots. The blaster is then housed between the two and can rotate. The hinges are 5mm diameter, so other 5mm weapons will fit.

The idea is that with the blaster in as shown, the weapon that comes with Onslaught (the green shell thing) will no longer have to plug into the arms on top, instead plugging into the 5m hole in the middle of the blaster. This lets the green weapon aim upwards for anti-air combat, as well as avoiding the attachment points on the arms which are known for causing stress marks on the plastic. Additionally, the blaster's hole is 5mm, so other 5mm weapons can be mounted there too.

(Simplified Onslaught model, to illustrate how the Hinge Blaster attaches. Onslaught would be driving towards the top-left of your screen.)

The back of Onslaught's new gun also is a 3mm clip, so any peripherals with 3mm bars can be clipped into it.

Hope you all like the Hinge Blaster.

With the various 5mm holes and posts, you could also use it for some fun gun combos.

That's freaking brilliant. Shapeways really is the best Transformers innovation of 2012.

Thanks astrakhan. The fact the Hinge Blaster has a 5mm hole in it could make for a lot of gun combinations. :)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    FOC Onslaught Upgrade Kit

Let's just face it: Onslaught isn't Onslaught without two huge cannons. FOC Onslaught came with a green shell of a gun, which had the unfortunate side effect of being stressed just by attaching to the arms in vehicle mode. Not just my FOC Onslaught, but a problem common to many. Time to fix that issue.

The FOC Onslaught Upgrade Kit includes the Hinge Blaster, two Hinge pieces and Twin Cannons. Designed to work in both robot and vehicle mode, the Upgrade kit attaches to Onslaught with no modifications required.

The hinges clip to the back of the vehicle mode, with the Hinge Blaster fitting between them. The hinges do not have to be removed for transformation to any of Onslaught's 3 modes.

    (simplified Onslaught model in blue)

The Hinge Blaster itself has a 5mm peg, allowing Onslaught and other Transformers with 5mm weapons to hold it. The front and back end of the Hinge Blaster are also 5mm in diameter to allow it to connect to the hinges. The rear of the weapon's 5mm peg is also a 3mm clip, so weapons and accessories with 3mm bars can be clipped into it. The hole in the center is also 5mm.

The FOC Onslaught Upgrade Kit also comes with Twin Cannons, which can attach to the hinges in vehicle mode. They can be angled up or down, while Onslaught's existing weapon attaches to the Hinge Blaster in the center of the construct.

The Twin Cannons themselves use 5mm handles and are built around combiner sockets to match Onslaught's combiner pegs. In robot mode, the twin cannons can be handheld, or attached to the side of Onslaught's shoulders.

Hope you all like the FOC Onslaught Upgrade Kit.

you never dissapoint. And just as I was price checking the combaticons too. Your timing sometimes is incredible
