You need a corporate sponsor; or possibly pitch the idea to Hasbro, or some other toy company.

One idea I had was going to a liscensing expo... I do need to research different ways of pitching ideas/getting a sponsor.

I would almost suggest McFarlane Toys for the gore factor, but they're notorious for pisspoor quality control. There's no way they'd properly handle the complex assembly of a transforming toy.

And all those major companies dont accept pitches or anything... I'd have to start with a smaller company. Or start my own... Which is why I intend to go to so many comic/toy conventions :D

I could see Mcfarlane doing these... but, they are a big company and I don't think they'd accept ideas either :/

    Thank you!

That's an idea I've been throwing around, along with some native american themed stuff.

    Awesome!

This was updated with the initial carnotuarus marker drawing. After I finish the spinosaurus and ceolophysis, I'm gonna see which one to showcase of these four. much like I did the Brachiosaurus.

    More updates,

    Here's another update:

It's the Ceolophysis! Small guy next to Spino over there :)

And the FUN part! I'm now opening a poll on my DA, but I figure I can just take votes from this thread, just if you put in a vote here, please don't double vote:)  I know its tricky, or if you do vote on DA, and say who voted for here, try to make it clear that you did vote on DA :)

The poll is to decide which of the four new dinosaurs we'll see more coverage on :)  The choices are on the middle row, Carnotaurus, Spinosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, And Ceolophysis.
The coverage includes larger images all around, and include a transformation scheme as well :)

    So let's do this thing!

Oh, and I added in Odin there at the bottom, he is not up for consideration yet. Next round :)

These remind me of Dinozaurs. It would be superb if you managed to get a toy company to pick this up and make figures from your designs. Knowing my childhood love for Dinosaurs, I'd buy these up in an instant.

Considering I freak out at guts and gore with resulting Barf I doubt this would be for me but love the concept.

Finally someone who doesn't just rehash old Hasbro ideas. I'm looking forward to seeing how these turn out.

I always liked dinozaurs! but, never saw the show or bought toys. I just looked at pics of them in magazines at the time...

Maybe the plastic choice and colors would help suppress that feeling... thanks for the appreciation :)

Yep, there won't be an ounce of unicron eating any planets here!

After I get 4 more characters designed, its off to making comics and toys for these guys!

They're great toys, but a bit hard to come by.

As for making your designs into toys, I think that due to their delicateness and complexity, they could benefit from having many parts pop off for reasons of safety and avoiding breakage. It may also be beneficial to have many parts be made of hard flexible rubbery plastic so they parts can easily move around one another and not make certain transformations impossible.

    Good luck with your pursuit.:thumb

Dear god, sir. These are the coolest things I have ever seen. Good luck on getting them made. If (and when :D ) they do, I will buy each and every one.

Especially that delicious T-Rex. Shit, that look so awesome.
