Lately I've been playing around with the idea of a theoretical Season 5 of Transformers Animated. It would herald the return of Henry Masterson and Porter C. Powell as major villains in the TFA Universe by pwning our favorite bots in a season long Headmaster story arc. What follows is the result of my toying around, with more Season 5 characters and stories to come. Obviously this was done for fun, and I do not own the rights for anything Transformers (Animated or otherwise) names & logos © Hasbro EDIT: If you're wondering why there is a Female Sunstreaker clone, the answer is simple- Deus ex machina Unit 4, the female Sunstreaker Clone & her Headmaster pilot Josie Beller, is my lazy attempt to introduce Circuit Breaker later on in my TFA Season 5 FanFic
Powell has his own suit? Oooh, now that is going to be interesting. Great job on individualizing Masterson's Sunstreaker btw, I love all the little touches, and the female Sunstreaker looks great as well! So are they only generic pilots, or individuals that are part of a team?
dang, henry means business this time! i guess i can sense the lines of "Prepare to get schooled,NOOBS!" would sneak along the lines. im guessin' powell might end up being zarak... or maybe there will be a twist! who knows, can wait for the others though, what will you have in mind, maybe i should join in you project for some ideas?
The female Sunstreaker is kinda odd. Doesn't really make much sense given the backstory you worked up. Sure it was funny with Starscream and his clones were all components of his personality, but here it seems... eh. I like Masterson's suit a lot, especially the helmet. I also like the weapon upgrades.
The female clone pilot is just a plot device I'm using to introduce Josie Beller into the TFA Universe since she's the pilot of unit 4.
These designs look awesome! The Sunstreaker body fits Masterson's Headmaster Unit quite well. And nice reference to Starscream's cloning with the femme-Sunstreaker clone. As much as I would like to see this in TFA, I imagine this "Headmaster Arc" to have a lot of angst in it.
As clone pilots they are sort of brain washed into working for Powell's Machination, but they aren't mindless zombies. They are individuals who just believe that what they're doing is for the greater good. They just don't have all the facts, nor any inclining of what Powell is really up to. Bring it on. I love a good brainstorming session Thanks a lot. I'm happy with the way everything is turning out so far. Don't you worry, Scorponok is most certainly on his way! A fair amount I guess. It would certainly be darker than season 1, be I don't think it would be any heavier than season 3. I believe it could be written well enough to where adult fans would get what's going on, without causing little kids to run crying out of the room LoL I took a little break to actually go out and enjoy the real world, but Scorponok will be showing up very, very soon I know they weren't everyone's cup of tea, but I though the animated toy line was wicked cool, and amazingly show accurate. I have to give mad props to Hasbro and the TFA production team.
LoL The clones are...well, clones. But they're sparkless, so a human is needed to pilot them. And unit 4's pilot just so happens to be a girl.
I like what I'm seeing so far. The idea of Powell becoming Scorponok fit's with the character and the concept you seem to be going for here. I have to ask if you plan to give the Autobots a Headmaster or two besides Hunter/Sunstreaker. One idea (since it's 5 years later) would be to bring in Sari with a Sparkless body. She could become a Headmaster in her own right given her abilities with machines and fit in scale with both the humans and the Autobots. If I may also suggest, since the Decepticons would still be out and about, have a couple of Con Headmasters as well. A small con who'd like to prove his worth to Megatron might talk another con like Mindwipe into helping him steal Masterson's designs and build himself bigger body he could plug into. He could even be inspired by the Dinobots and fashion it's alt mold into a dino as well as a jet and call himself Snapdragon. Just an idea or two.
Those are some really good ideas I never thought of using Sari as a Headmaster. In my fanfic I had Sari bugging her Dad to start attending public High School like a normal kid. Isaac eventually gives in, but things don't quite go as Sari would have liked. She tries to impress the other students by showing off her unique Cybertronian talents. Wacky hijinx ensues, stuff gets broken, and the other kids just end up thinking Sari is a total weirdo. Nobody will sit with her at the lunch table, the Principle says she can't play team sports because it isn't fair to the other kids, the head cheerleader is mean to her- That sort of thing. Then enter Hunter O'Nion. Hunter is labeled a geek and is also a social outcast because he's always going on about aliens and sci-fi. Hunter is the only one in High School who is nice to Sari. At this point, it's only been friendly gestures, no real conversation has happened because they're both shy around the opposite sex. However, once Hunter gets caught up in Powell's Machination and becomes a Headmaster, the friendship blossoms. Sari is thrilled that there is someone else who "gets" what she's going through, even if Hunter is only part Cybertronian. Potential love interest stuff. At the conclusion of the Headmaster Saga, I am planning on spreading the Headmaster love, as it were. Once Powell and Masterson are defeated, the directionless Clone Pilots are tossed to the wind. Realizing that Powell was a complete nut job who was just using them, the pilots (8 of them total) go there separate ways and take different development paths. Unit 4's pilot Josie Beller feels like a fool for taking part in Powell's Machination. A double blow occurs when she realizes her Headmaster armor is bonded to her and she can't take it off, something Masterson never mentioned. She goes from doctor to doctor trying to have the suit removed, but nobody has a clue how to take it off. Josie becomes increasingly bitter and jaded. Eventually she falls into the hands of Tarantulas who see's her as a scientific oddity. Ever the mad scientist, Tarantulas begins to experiment on Josie to see if he can recreate what he refers to as the "Sari Anomaly". Thus, Circuit Breaker is born. However in the process, her memory gets jumbled and she thinks the Autobots were the ones who did this to her. An idea Tarantulas happily goes along with. Unit 6's pilot Chip Chase agreed to become a Headmaster because the suit gives him the ability to walk. Without it, he'd be confined to a wheelchair. After the Headmaster Saga, Optimus Prime and his team begin searching out clone pilots because they are essentially wild cards that could be a danger to themselves or others. Several members of the Autobot Science Council assist in the search because they wish to study the binary bonding process. Brainstorm comes across Chip Chase and suggests a symbiotic partnership. With Brainstorm's upgraded Headmaster suit, Chip Chase could keep the use of his legs as long as he was wearing his new Headmaster armor, and Brainstorm would dramatically increase his processor power because the human brain store more information and operates at faster speeds than Cybertronian circuitry. Unit 8's pilot, The Amazing Vorath was a traveling magician and hypnotist- Who was wanted in eight states for hypnotizing bank tellers into giving him money. Even with the Autobots eventually defeating Powell and Masterson, Vorath thinks Powell had the right idea, and continues his allegiance to him. Eventually ditching his old Unit 8 mech for something much more suitable, The Amazing Vorath becomes Mindwipe
