Battletrap Duo-Drone alt-modes Duo-Drone Battletrap is another of Jhiaxus's creations. Just like the Flywheels model, the Battletrap model features two sub-types. Although they possess identical robot mode, their alternate modes are different. The Battletrap Duo-Drone type BL turns into a VTOL aircraft. The Battletrap Duo-Drone type TR turns into an armored craft. Duo-Drones were used as copycat soldiers in Nova Prime's army; they were generally mindless, but the unit commanders has some degree of AI. Division commanders of a specific model had a larger bodyframe and were sentient, even though it seems that they did not possess a whole Spark Core. These Duo-Drone were another steps of Jhiaxus' experiments towards the creation of the final DuoCon models. It would appear that the "Clones" (Fastlane/Cloudraker and Wingspan/Pounce) who appeared during the Age Of Sentinel were an attempt at recreating the forgotte Duo-Drone technology (which went lost when Jhiaxus vanished in the Benzuli Expanse, together with the First Ark's crew).
