Just remodeled ROTF Lockdowns hand and claw, as musch as I love the figure I cant stand rubber parts on my TF's.
As I was gonna upload these to shapeways, i'm wondering wether to go a step further, pehaps make the claw more viscous or the hand more classics style???

    That's pretty darn accurate.

I'd like to see what you would do to make it more vicious.

To keep transformation tight and still viable, maybe give the claw a pivot hinge so it can still turn to fit under the car. That's why it's rubber in the first place, I believe.

Otherwise, the accordion part looks out of place next to the spikes on the underside of the end piece.

It's actually a dirrect copy of the origianl rubber part. It's fitted with a pin so it can fold under the car, nothing to do with the material.

This is a good call, I'm thinking maybe adding a clip just after the hinged part so different bladed weopons can be added without interupting the transformation.

    Update:

Made few suggested changes and uploaded to shapeways!

The hand is the same but the claw hook is now detable and interchangable with the "I killed your Master!" mega chainsaw. The chainsaw should still be able to be used in vehicle mode with the blade sticking out the front of the car like Blazin Lockdown.

Thanks! Same here, cant afford to order a set till the end of the month but I'm sure it'll work.

    Thanks!

Just adding a quick colour render. I know the colours don't match but it's just to get a better idea of the final look.

While your making interchangeable parts, why not give him a right hand (and/or two hands, each with four fingers)? Is this something your going to have made and sell?

Is there enough space, under the front section, for the chain saw to be facing forward and still have the wheels contacting?
I just transformed, mine, and it might make it but the gray ankle extensions might be in the way. The chainsaw probably wouldn't fit in between them?

They look great and having the parts be swappable is even greater! I don't have a problem with rubbery parts but some parts can be deformed and then they won't stay in the correct shape (Banzaitron tank sword, for example)

I never thought of only having 3 fingers a problem, but a detachable right hand shouldnt be too tricky. I've uploaded this model to my shapeways store so anyone can order one if they want.

Just about. There's about .5mm of cleavence after it's fitted, just means no driving over speed bumps.

True. I'll be redoing the Bludgeon sword when I have time, I've just finished Drfits swords.

Thanks! It's not just the chainsaw, it's the chainsaw, hook, attachment part and hand all connected on a sprue.

So how would i have to replace these and do they work on the figure fine? I'd love to get one.

Can't be 100% that they work on the figure without a hitch and won't know till i've ordered a set for myself, but I'm pretty sure.

To replace the parts, hammer out the existing pins, remove the rubber parts, pin in the new parts.
