As usual, you cannot escape our behind-the-scenes notes. Page 7 Sentinel Prime stands before the commemorative bas-relief featuring Nova Prime and the crew of the First Ark (see "Spotlight: Nightbeat", "Spotlight: Optimus Prime" and the "Revelation" saga). Whos is the character inside the Stasis Pod in the foreground? Why, Magnus, who will be featured in his own chapter. It's crossover time! a. The Incubation Storehouse first appeared in SoD: Omega Supreme page 8. b. The Liberation Epoch and Sentinel's plan for Nova's Protoforms appear in SoD: Shockwave/Soundwave page 2. c. Another Liberation Battle will be featured in SoD: Trannis. The Blue Team that fought in the Liberation Epoch features: - Fortress Maximus (leader; we get to see for the first time his alt mode! More details in "Spotlight: Arcee" and the "Revelation" saga) - Tracks - Longtooth (his pose is a tribute to G1 Landmine's toy boxart) - Triggerhappy - Thundercracker The tanks are based on Beast Machines Tankorr. Another cameo for Raindance and Grandslam: they have transmitting arrays instead of weapons. The battle image is a tribute to the classic G1 Marvel miniseries "Headmasters". Page 8 Sentinel's vision: - panel 2, the Balance Staff shatters and Iacon burns - panel 3, the ghost escaping the Matrix are a tribute to Rodimus Prime's vision from "Five Faces Of Darkness" (G1 cartoon) - panel 4, as he dies, Sentinel turns grey - panel 5, the Gladiator (still a mystery character, here) Page 9 In "War Within", The Source is the sentient mainframe living under the surface of the planet. Panel 3: Sentinel's visit to Boltax can be seen in Mosaic "The Chosen One". Trannis's team is composed of: - Razorclaw - Rollbar - Quake - Roadgrabber The abyssal beast is based on Beast Wars toy Torca. Page 10 Trannis wields the FIRST Decadionic Sword (that he received from Shockwave in "SoD: Shockwave/Soundwave" page 7 circa). Sentinel Prime thinks that the Decadionic Sword is just a modern-day-replica. Page 11 Rollbar fought alongside the Combaticons in the Liberation Epoch ("filling in" for Swindle). Sentinel's advisors, from left to right: - Groove (in his "War Within: The Dark Ages" look - Hound - Skids - Silverbolt "The Tower Of Pion" first appeared in "The War Within vol 1". Who was Pion? Follow the stories at G1 The Lost Seasons for the answer. Page 12 The wilderness in panel 2 is the same seen in Mosaic "Building Frenzy". Another reference to Trannis' entering the Citistates Assembly: the actual event will be told in SoD: Omega Supreme pages 13-15. Panel 6 features Bluestreak and Swindle (as merchants of the Guild). Panel 7 features Grapple and Huffer. Page 13 Panel 1 features Ultra Impactor. More abot him in "SoD: Magnus". What about the Impactor that appears in "Last Stand Of The Wreckers"? We have a subplot for him as well. The Ebony Knights saga will be told in a chapter called "Ebony Dawn". A tie in can be seen in "SOD: Shockwave/Soundwave" page 10. Gargoyle Seekers created by our friend Ibai Canales. What about the Old Ones and the Planetary Core? These threats are meant as a sample of all the events that Sentinel faced during his reign (for now). Vorn is a well-known time unit in Tf Universe; Evorns is a Vorn multiple, created by us. Whose was the voice speaking of stagnation, one may ask? With this page, the days of peace for Sentinel Prime are OVER! In Act III: Civil War begins!
