Well, non- TFA and non-movie Lockdown, anyway.
This is moreso for a fanfic I canceled and am trying to work on, and Lockdown is a potential character. Homaging the TFA counterpart, he is a (supposed) Autobot who dropped out of the Cyberninja Dojo, and became a bounty hunter. Don't worry - he'll have an epic showdown with Prowl and lose his right hand, thus replacing it with a hook.
There's some inspiration here from the TF Heroes concept of him which are featured in the Allspark Almanac. While this is a Cybertronian mode, it's based on Armada Wheeljack (as hinted by the weapons and chest symbol.) The weapons are kind of like mini bo staffs to me, though maybe they light up like Lightsabers?

Typically, I drift towards two extremes when I create artwork of characters that (somehow or another) end up with an established character's name and/or identity. One extreme is a "homage" where it's clear that it actually is the same character being referenced (though they may still be two different characters in two completely different universes). The other is typically using the name only, and the character is pretty much such a stark difference that there's no confusion between the two.
Hopefully that doesn't further confuse |

A story could be that long ago, he had something happened to him that made him sever his allegiances (hence the gash on the Autobot symbol). This springboards him into the version of Lockdown we all know from Animated. Quote: |

That's all just a thought, though

I looked at the line art and it just didn't strike me as Lockdown. I did pick up on the Armada Wheel jack nods as the slashed chest is just such a key feature of his.
The idea of this being a younger lock down could work as you could just say anything that's missing has just not been acquired yet but I would swap out the weapons for something more brutal. |
