http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-images/radicons-customs/Alternators-Binaltech/Wrecker/ Some time ago, I was able to purchase some of the customs in plowking's collection, many of them being from his own hand. It's no secret that he's one of my favorite kitbashers, and I really can't start to describe how enthused I was with being able to acquire them for my own collection! I'm proud to have these pieces in my collection still I sketched this illustration soon after I got the customs from him. My wife and I were attending a discipleship class at church on marriage, and I sketched this out in my notebook before class (and I worked on it during class when I wasn't notetaking ). Anyways, I just scanned this piece (and some others to come later), and thought I'd share. I hope you enjoy!
It looks really nice, but something about the jeep's hood seems off... I think the headlight on his left side, is a little lower than it should be... other than that, I can't wait to see more of these. Any plans to color it?
I see that, the lights are too low. It looks really cool other than that though, I find the background interesting.
Hehe, I'm surprised there's not more off than that! I was drawing this guy completely from memory, essentially just because I was so excited about the custom (and the others ). I deleted the notebook lines before I came to work tonight as well I'll often sketch out stuff like this simply to keep my hands busy while something else is going on, even in a lull of note-taking. The particular class my wife and I were taking, I was already very familiar with the material (we'd had much of it before, plus I had a lot of it in my Marriage and Family class as well), so my note-taking wasn't needing as much attention. I was also passing notes to Lisa too I may see what I can do to edit the sketch, but I think I'd consider this a "first draft" at most. I want to sit down with the toy (and others), as I like to have a model of sorts in front of me when I draw. This is one of the reasons I make my customs and own others. A troll
Awesome sketch. The lines are very tight. One thing I kind of notice, is that his left arm seems too long?
Fixed!! All jokes aside. It looks good for a quick sketch. Now that you've had time to soak in all Alt Wrecker's glory in person, you should re-do this drawing. in color. and send it to me. along with Alt Hammerlock art. Kthanx.
Yeah, and the legs are too short. Like I said, the proportion is all over the place. Thanks for the props, bro I'm really wanting to do a WHOLE lot more illustrations with my collection, your customs included of course. My Alt/BT is almost fully assembled, even though I still have a few customs left to create. My artwork as a gift you say? Hmm . . . that's not a bad idea NP, I can never be sure when it comes to supersquads. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he had a hand in it. He was probably the one distracting me in the first place Thanks for all of the great comments regarding this sketch; it's much appreciated, and I had no idea I'd have this much fun sharing it!
Thanks! I'm not a huge fan of Wildman, but (assuming you are) I'll take the compliment and run with it
