Other then that | Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought too. The generic "Tin man" G1 face just doesn't seem to suit Lockdown.
Also, it may just be the expression, but he just doesn't come off as looking like a badass like the character should...He actually kinda looks like he's about to cry.
I actually hate to be negative about it, because the design overall is pretty trippy. But that face just does not feel like the character at all.
Something I do like about it is that he only has one of his shoulder pads. That's a nice detail that adds to the concept of him useing different parts from other bots. | |

I think News Credits: 2 | Well the Mad Max thing started off with just similarity's in the alt mode (engine, colour and side pipes) but then I got to thinking about blending in some other elements in the robot mode theirs the leg brace and the shoulder pad.
I can see why people don't like the head but their is some logic behind it. Firstly given that their are only 2 other incarnations IMO their are no set rules and between the two existing official designs theirs some difference so unlike Prime their are fewer must haves. Now I can see why people would want to keep him with the bald look but IMO outside of animated theirs no presidents for it and you could debate if the movie toy has it since its clearly black on the toy. and he seems to have some rather odd goggles. | |
