It's gotta be none other than the Mad Scientist himself: Wheeljack. I wanted to find an Alt Form that had tiny reflections of his alternate mode, mostly the Wrap around windscreen to pay homage to his G1 appearance. (and EVERYONE loves those, roight?) So, I wen't with the previously rumoured Wheeljack Alt mode that is the SAAB Aero X Concept. I tweaked an original Promotional photo by adding some "tricked out" Gold Rims and an embossed Autobot logo (Maybe his Cybertronian/Meteor self landed in a swanky mansion?). It's Space-age, Modern, Futuristic and Oozes a Sci-Fi look. Perfect for this Autobot badass. I felt like I needed to stray away from the normal humanoid anatomy and go for something Unique. to make his standout amongst the rest. So, gave him the appearance of some real upper body strength and the look of that he has some real gear tucked away behind those armour plates. After the lines were completed he beared a striking resemblance to Skids and Mudflap to me, Maybe he's their Mentor/Trainer/Coach? I don't know might write out a proper bio out for him. I first thought of a sort of Sleezy/Lazy/Dirty Mechanic look to him. Almost like a remote Gas Station attendant. But I remember that I wanted to give him a sence of intelligence and enginuity but keeping the fact of that he knock your block off also. I'd imagine him retaining his New-Yorker Accent but of course voiced by the Legendary John DiMaggio, Could not think of anyone more perfect for the image. I still have a few extra plans to add to this entry, I want to add a brief diagram of his Transformation and how the gear in his forearms and such are deployed. SO, Without further delay... Autobot Wheeljack! ![]() Enjoy! EDIT! More Detailed view of Wheeljack's head design. Instead of the G1 "glow-ey ears" his optics and other "LED" lights will pulse with every syallable much like in the original series. So G1 fans can rejoise! Cheers Downshift ![]() Het there Trans-Fans Just whipped up a diagram showing Wheeljack's Transformation cycle along with a snazzy animation! Enjoy! Downshift ![]() ![]() Front Image ![]() Concept Scene ![]() Decided to do some Mock-Scenes with Wheeljack, showing him interacting with existing characters "Hey Listen up, Optimus. Decepticon movement is being tracked all over this mudball of a planet and we need our 'Bots cleaning them out fast. What you got cookin' up in that processor?"
