Since there are finally got some kickass photos of City Commander armor at Seibertron, I was finally able to make the real Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus. Some people liked the blue, and some liked the purple version of my old one. So I did them both with this one. Also attached is the unarmored version.
I kind of figured it would have been the giant orange gun, or the fact that he's colored exactly like Galvatron.
I go with the purple as well. Both of them have that Galvatron-like vibe too. Maybe this could be the second form of Shattered Glass Optimus Prime, but its a different character so I go with that.
Looks to me sort like the first version of each homages the Galvatron 'toon colourscheme, and the second uses the colours picked for most of the toy versions. That about what you going for, Gryph? And what's with the lack of an original toy colourscheme, mainly light grey with the dark grey and purple detailing?
Geez, I can't wait to get through all my projects and finally start breaking into the SG-verse with customs... Oh how I yearn to unleash my SG-Shockwave... Great digibash, by the by. - Alty
Great idea and digi. It's a very neat concept. I wonder if someone will actually make one. So far the bashed SG stuff isn't that great IMO
I can see how the inner robot might work as a Nemesis Prime-alike. Have you considered that, Gryph - rigging the Galvatron colourscheme but seeing what it'd look like if the inner 'bot's primarily black?
They said Classics Magnus is what SG Nemesis Prime would look like, so it makes sense. Personally, I think it's just too boring. I gave it a quick shot. Looks ok. Someone else suggested using the blue Magnus with the purple armor, so I also tried that. Both have been added.
