This is the old page that Don did just before DW went corrupt and bankrupt. I colored it (finished coloring it) last week so Don could show it to Chris Ryall (IDW editor) to see what he thought. He was interested, but not enough. I'm working on a second pic now...

I'm sure this has been colored out there, but I avoid anyone else's colorings of pics i'm working on or plan to work on like the plague.

You could probably tone down the glows on the eyes a bit. It looks like they're planning to 'laser eye' Prime to death. That's the only real negative I have.

Everything else is great. Your colors adds a real sense of atmosphere to the panels. Like the environment they're in is not that well lit like, as opposed to what I've seen in other versions where it's bright as day and helps add to the covertness of the story being told in the panels.

That's the A#1 comment (also made by both Don and Chris, as well as by people on every board I posted it to) King Starscream!!

Yeah, the eyes were too glowy. This is actually a second take. The first take they were WAAAAAAAAY glowy. Don made me tone them down some, but in my own lazyness I only removed a layer making them this weird 'pupil' effect that wasn't much better. I'da done better just redoing the optics completely.

Actually I think the excessive glow on Elita's eyes in the second panel on the second row, gives her a nice surprised/shocked look.

It doesn't have enough glow. It needs horizontal blue lens flare on everything, even stuff that isnt shiny.

This may be an artifact of resizing, but I feel as though sometimes the colors don't fade into one another as well as they should. Like you can see gradation demarcations quite clearly.

And BTW, so good to see you're still coloring!! Didn't you do a piece for me way back in the day, a Resurrection Sunday cartoon I did? Anyway, cool beans!

Good colours, I wish they could compile these pages and release it through IDW - damn court seizures (I think), lol...

    *waves at Matt*

What you're probably seeing is conflicting color styles... my own fault. And yes, I still have the Resurrection one, it's even on my web-album: http://picasaweb.google.com/RoadbusterDoM

I like the hues you've chosen. They all seem to fit together. The one thing I'd change/add, aside from the eye glow, would be to give the "bots" more of a reflective/ metallic shiny surface. Even in subdued lighting the bots would still show off their metallic properties...

I like your coloring style. Very inspiring bro. Thanks.

Always nice to see how someone else colours the same page, completely differently! :)

Also coloured it once, so I can tell what an awful lot of work it was. :p  I especially like how you did the bubbles, I went with the lazy way there.

Only thing I dislike really, is the way you did the eyes. :/
