So it's completly coincidental that his open chest panel looks like a cassete? Was that I the original toy? (I couldn't afford a FortMax as a child, now either)
It's like the toy. Cerebros was a Headmaster; what you're seeing is the 3 bars that represent his speed, strength & intelligence, usually covered by the flap you can see in the 3rd shot. For the proto shots I positioned them just below the halfway mark (rather than on full, as they usually are), so people could see that they do turn on the model. Check out the photos of the toy on tfu.info, for more details: http://www.tfu.info/1987/Autobot/FortressMaximus/fortressmaximus.htm Sometimes for faces, or complex shapes (on Transtech Starscream I used SudDs for his mouthplate, and various parts of his legs.I also used frozen SubDs for his nosecone, and some torso parts). In general though, I don't use them that much.
Nah I'm refering to the BACKside of the OPEN chest panel. I'm sure it was just standard bracing and casting strues (sp?) but it conincedently looks like a tape deck.
just beautiful Draven One person i envy is you at your 3d skill. Tried to do it once before and looked like a bad day folding paper planes
