Hey everybody,

Decided to return to what I really enjoyed modeling, with everything I've learned over the past few years. So I decided to reopen Vanguard, and begin reworking it. The work on Destiny isn't being abandoned, in fact it is being integrated into Vanguard's story, and the result is actually better than before.

The goal right now is not a fully-animated series. That's just not viable for me right now. Currently, it'll be all new 3D designs of characters from the Vanguard universe (both ones done before and new ones), with bios, as well as mini-animations, both test and potentially some ones with fiction attached.

I will also potentially be writing the episodes and releasing them as fan-fiction stories to at least get the stories out there.

The art-style will largely be a return to the Vanguard artstyle, but with the upgrade of everything I've learned and tested since stopping work on it.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm planning on staying for awhile this time,  . After Ultra Magnus and maybe the next character, we should be into new characters, or at least characters that I haven't shown the Vanguard version of.

 

Hey, glad you've come back to this and good luck going forward. I tried doing a 3D comic a while ago and it turned out to be way too much for me, so I know how hard it can be. I wish you luck and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

What program did you use for modelling? Maya? Blender? Or even Sketchup? Im just curious.

 

Yeah. The past couple of years I was going through some things that really didn't help. But, I'm just focusing on fun right now.

Coming this weekend, I should have the new Vanguard cast list, and sometime within the next 1-2 weeks, I hope to have Ultra Magnus' robot mode, and maybe a new vehicle mode for another character done this week.

Magnus' alt-form looks great. I really dig the earlier models you did for this series, they looked awesome as hell. Looking forward to seeing more.

So as I said, gonna to describe the new/revised cast, and allow you guys to choose what the next Autobot that will be done after Ultra Magnus and a Decepticon are done.

The Cast of Transformers: Vanguard - Autobots

Sent by the Autobot Supreme Leader Dai Atlas to protect Earth from any potential Decepticon threats now that the Decepticon have been forced off of Cybertron, the Vanguard Defense Force protects the world in secret, helped by two human teens, Elaina and Ryu, and Teletraan, a hybrid AI.

Placed in charge of the team, Ultra Magnus was given free reign to recruit any Autobots for this mission.

Ultra Magnus [Vehicle Carrier], a strong officer, though he feels more comfortable taking orders than giving them, uses a powerful hammerstaff

Roadbuster [Military Combat Truck], an Elite Guard powerhouse and ex-Wrecker, heavily-armed

Sideswipe [Sports Car], a skilled pilot and brawler, uses a jetpack to gain an advantage

Sunstreaker [Sports Car], vain and arrogant brother to Sideswipe, has an advanced shield to defend himself (and sometimes others) with

Fastlane [Race Car], the only rookie in his academy class to be sent into civilian work, has turboboosters that launch him quickly through a fight

Solara [Cybertronian Jet], medic whose was looking at team offers from both the Elite Guard and Special Operations when Ultra Magnus took her, uses swords in battle

But, Ultra Magnus and his team aren't alone in this mission. Also accompaning the six, are Magnus' good friend and current Matrix-bearer, Optimus Prime, and his trainee, Bumblebee.

Optimus Prime [Armored Civilian Truck], a former computer analyst/engineer turned Prime, Optimus helped design Teletraan and is searching for his place in the galaxy, afraid to embrace his destiny as a leader after a hard war and dark prophecy.

Bumblebee [Motorcycle], one of the youngest rookies ever pulled from the Academy to join another Autobot, after being saved by Optimus Prime from a Decepticon incursion, he has traveled with him ever since.

Together, Team Magnus, Optimus Prime, and Bumblebee defend Earth from any threats as the Vanguard Defense Force.

So yeah. Feel free to say up to three Autobots (preferably ranked 1-3) from this list (that's not Ultra Magnus, of course) that you want to see, and the one with the most votes will be done after Ultra Magnus and a Decepticon.

The Cast Of Transformers: Vanguard - Decepticons

After the Autobots activated the planetary shield over Cybertron and sent the new fleet ships to protect the Cybertronian Alliance, the Decepticons were forced to scatter and escape across the galaxy.

Leader of the Decepticons, Lord Zarak, was left with his flagship Harbinger and a small force that escaped with him. He keeps in contact with his Commanders via holo-messages that stretch across the galaxy, so even as Lord Zarak and his forces are attempting to capture Earth, other Decepticon incursions are happening in other galactic locales.

Lord Zarak [Cybertronian Tank], an ex-gladiator that rose to political leader, he began the Cybertronian Civil War with the shot from his cannon that ended Sentinel Prime's life.

Megatron [Cybertronian Battle Jet], formerly known as Archforce, freedom activist and friend to Orion Pax, who later became Optimus Prime. Now one of Lord Zarak's powerful commanders, hardened by the war, and obsessed with defeating his former friend once and for all.

Vortex [Cybertronian Helicoptor], psychoanalyst with some medical training, the mental and physical care of the Decepticons fall under his charge, though he sometimes cares more about seeing what they do than helping their problems.

Crankcase [Cybertronian SUV], though his partnership with Vortex is unspoken, the two frequently work together. Not willing to say he likes anything, he frequently expresses his anger regarding just about anything.

Flamewar [Super Car] laser-focused Decepticon stalker and hunter, little affection for anyone or anything, would rather see a problem burn than to solve it

Starscream [Cybertronian Jet] an honorable (if a bit self-centered and over-confident) warrior, his only goal is to impress Lord Zarak and Megatron. Recruited by Megatron in the early days of the war, he feels he owes him for helping him escape the life and world he never wanted in the old ways of Cybertron.

Thrust [Cybertronian Fighter Jet] a Decepticon strategist that forever proves that those who can't create plans for those who can, Thrust isn't very well-liked, and it's not because his strategy success rate is 85%, or even that his leadership success is 5%, it's because he's a sychophantic jerk. Okay, and he's a bad field leader.

Now that they are on Earth, Lord Zarak and his Decepticons are ready to conquer Earth and make it the jeweled center to their new Decepticon Empire, using it to launch their new campaign against Cybertron.
