Since shutting down the Vanguard project, for obvious reasons I didn't feel like continuing with making Vanguard models at the moment (not saying I never will make another Vanguard model again even if the project never gets brought to life).

However, I did still want to 3D model Transformers and definitely still want to show them off to all of you guys!

Update #7 (June 6th):
Got Jetfire here, all finished, but it's a tad bittersweet.

After thinking about it for a few days, I have decided, after the completion of Brainstorm, to end my Transformers fan content creation.

I've been working on fan-fiction, artwork, and animation for 5 years now, and I am ready to move on to other things. Nothing right now is going to recapture the passion nor energy I had while working on Vanguard, and I think it's time to let go.

This is not a "Goodbye forever, I'm never doing this again". Think of this more of "I'm taking an extended leave, but I may not come back."

I've loved the support you all have given me over the years, and I hope you have enjoyed the artwork and stories I've brought to you. If I ever can recapture that passion and energy to make new Transformers stories, I'm sure you'll see me again.

Update #6 (June 5th):
Jetfire's robot mode is taking a little longer than expected, so in the meantime, I have the Brainstorm remold of Jetfire for you guys!



Brainstorm's remolded robot mode will come out not long after Jetfire's is done.

Update #5 (May 30th):
So, last time I was with you guys, I was working on the robot mode for Elita-1. To make a long story short, that went south, I lost most of my work on her, and I don't wish to remake her at this time. I might at another date, but it won't be right now.

I'm trying out a new design style and theme now, this time going for an "Explorer/Adventure" theme.

Jetfire, the first character for this theme, has his vehicle mode up now, and within the next week, I should have his robot mode up too!



Update #4 (April 25th):
And the next character to be made is Elita-1! Here is her vehicle mode!

And his guns are done, everybody! A couple more renders will be coming out throughout today.

I have two more renders here, then I'm going to be beginning on Elita-1!

During the time between now and Elita-1's vehicle mode's completion, I will post up a bio for Optimus as well.

So I created a new model/texture style distinctly different from the Vanguard style, and decided that the first model I wanted to make in this style was a Cybertronian Optimus Prime.

So here is the truck mode for my version of a Cybertronian Optimus Prime.



His robot mode will probably be done within the next week.

I would love feedback and comments on it!

Very impressive model. I really like the buff design and use of colors. The only thing that really stands out to me is the size of the wheels. Personally I think they are a little to small compared to the proportions of the truck. Other than that it's a killer looking alt mode, fitting of a Prime.

Thank you very much. I understand where you are coming from regarding the wheels. It was a design-choice having to do with the robot mode and how cramped some areas will be. If the wheels were larger, I'd have even more issues finding a place for them. If it weren't for the fact that I wanted him to transform in a certain way, I probably would've tried to make them bigger.

Yeah, it's reminding me too after the fact. Wasn't my intention beforehand. Thanks.

So, the model had some kind of weird problem and I couldn't recover some of the work, so I had to remodel a lot of the parts. I've completely finished the torso now sans head (and possible weapon storage. Still finalizing that)



Arms hopefully coming later today. Maybe legs too, we'll see. Depends on how long the new hand and elbow systems take to design.

Whoa I love how optimus look, I actually tried making some transformers in 3d but they never come out the way I planned.

 

This looks cool...a neat WIP I must say.
