So, an idea I've had rattling around in my head for quite a while now is an "update" of sorts for Pretenders. Running through G1, I initially despised Pretenders for the longest time (largely due to disliking Transformers with organics), but they've become some of my favorites over time. While I REALLY like the treatment in Masterforce as "mythical monsters," the robot-lover inside of me just wants big ol' mech robots with smaller robots as pilots.

That led me to my latest 15-20 minute or so sketch session. While this is a VERY rough state as far as that conceptual idea development goes, it was at least a fun few minutes' worth of sketching. I figured I'd share those with you guys here:
