Excellent... the greatest modern-day Transformers, all in one shot. My only "unreasonable-fan-complaint" about Alts was the lack of uniform packaging all the way through the line. While I understand the need to refresh the look, it takes away a bit from them from a display standpoint. I enjoy these lot auctions, but am having difficulty selling things that way. I've had my set of Music Label stuff up for several weeks (including Exile Prime), and can't get any bites (or even watchers) on it, in spite of dropping the price quite a bit. Weird.
I only wish that I had kept the alternators all sealed and opened the Binaltech versions. Once BT stopped I have an open and a sealed of every alternator, however I do have a sealed BT collection.
I opened both BT and Alts... for the most part. I'm still tempted to only keep the BT figures that weren't released in the US, but I just can't pull the trigger yet. Alternators was a line for collectors and I loved it... it just goes to show that we collectors can't finance an official TF line by our selves. Agreed. What's worse is putting them in a box and making sure you're stacking the bubble boxes the right way.
They are a nightmare to store in the plastic bins, especially the bubble boxes. they take up so much space.
To this day i still wish they would bring this line back... or at leas make an opposing line in military vehicles. Got darn near all of them... and it needs to keep going. I consider it a subsection of the masterpiece line. Had alternity stayed in scale i would have picked it up as well.
Nice set. I wish I could afford it. I wouldn't call it a complete set though without the super exclusive Alternators Chevrolet Aveo - Exclusive Edition Swerve. TFsource.com - Alternators Chevrolet Aveo - Exclusive Edition Swerve
It's not really an alternator though. It's a deluxe and not 1/24 scale and the instructions clearly say Universe. Tfsource just put it as an alternator. It's not.
This could easily reach $1000. U figure $540 for the whole line bought at regular retail just to break even. Glad I got all of them (except Rollbar and Ricochet) when they came out, they are great! Wish they still made more...
I had the same problem with the packaging, tho i love the line itself. (being that i still have a sealed lot in storage and a few on display/sale). I love lot auctions, problem is there are still a lot of people that just dont have the funds to throw at collections. Another year or two and the economy will be looking even better. I sold a lot of alternators a few years ago... 24 or 25 of them i think. Was missing the swerve and Nemesis Prime. A person on the board bought it for over $1k (hated letting them go but had bills). Took a long time to replace that lot. Would think this would go over 1k as well, but times are tough.
Which Alts came in two different packaging styles? Didn't blue Tracks? Was there another? Would a completest have to have both?
