From Chile. TRANSFORMERS G1 GOODBYE CONVOY SCORPONOK PREDAKING - eBay (item 260562736471 end time Mar-06-10 13:42:15 PST)
Correct me if I'm wrong here but other than the low feedback, I just don't see a tinge of evidence suggesting otherwise.
Just because he has only 1 feedback, does not mean he's a scammer. Those items do look legit, but I question his low-price actually. Could be somebody who stole them from a collector and is trying to make a quick buck. Somebody who doesn't know the value of those items. Somebody who had to get a new ebay account for some reason or another and this is his new account. Could be ton's of reasons. Items them selves look very authentic, except I don't see any detailed pictures of Predaking? I never knew such a good by box even existed! Assuming there are no knock-off's of Scorponok, that alone MIB with box should fetch him more than the $200 alone I'd think!
Doesn't seem dodgy to me, admittedly it is at a very low price (I believe) for the figures, there's still plenty of time left for that to jump through the roof.
Maybe the person knows that high starting prices scare many people away and hoping a low price will start an avalanche of bidding.
I've noticed that trend too. Start low, and it sky-rockets to the moon! Start high, and it just sits there.
The "Good Bye Convoy" should have blue tinted windshields. Hard to see from the pics. Also the trailer stickers should be a lighter shade of blue then a single boxed G1 Primes. Looks lighter to my eyes. Could be a good steal of a deal! Best of luck check this out: http://www.tf-1.com/articles/eurous/redfoot_template.html (towards the bottom)
His low feedback will keep this auction considerably low, and maybe someone may get a good deal. but getting it shipped may take a long time considering the quake.
I see no reason to think this is a scam. Just someone starting low to garner interest and keep listing fees low.
