And I'm doing just that--one Personal and one Premier (my checking). It's legit, the rep told me that I could. Hell, I'm using the same bank for both accounts. I take care of people who jump out of planes and kill foreigners for a living. I have the best job in the world. Feedback here! Criminals are HOT. DO YOU LOVE SPIDERUS PRIME? |

The payment that you have to upgrade for was likely funded from a credit card, and personal level accounts can't accept credit/debit card payments. The others are right that you're probably out of luck - the only thing I can think of is if you can get the initial payment returned to your buyer and ask them to pay from a Paypal balance or other non-plastic funding source instead.
I guess it's not explicitly required that you have a Premiere account if you sell on Ebay, but the way the policies are these days you're basically stuck. Ebay doesn't allow you to only accept certain kinds of Paypal payments, and I don't think you have the option to sell anymore without taking Paypal payments. So they might not come out and say it, but you're eventually going to hit a situation like this where you're left with no choice. Remember, they pay people a lot of money to come up with no-win scenarios for them to turn against their users.
This is part of the reason I stopped selling on Ebay and now only use Paypal for private transactions. |

That's really the way to do it; I use the Premier account for eBay related sales and the Personal for Junkion exchanges when it's a direct/balance transfer. A really great way to avoid fees in certain situations. With you using the same bank, that's awesome as you can just transfer money back and forth easily. I really don't know why people who use Paypal don't take advantage of this and open two accounts. "Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd." ! Sale thread. Want list.
